Hello! This week, I'd like to show how you can add some stereo 3D effects the way I added them to my video "Pikmin 2 in First Person!" You can watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTrt3MVANpk

In the video, I demonstrated Pikmin 2 with anaglyph 3D, and I had a few video assets in anaglyph 3D. The former is a feature you can find in Dolphin, an emulator for GameCube and Wii games. The setting is found in Graphics > Enhancements, where you can set the Stereoscopic 3D mode to Anaglyph, along with various other 3D projections. The menu can be seen at the bottom of this image.

Unfortunately, this feature no longer works for me: the graphics completely break down under any stereoscopic 3D mode. It's either my version of Dolphin or my version of macOS causing the incompatibility, most likely. But, when it did work, Dolphin automatically generated a slight angular divergence between red-filter and cyan-filter cameras, creating illusory depth in the video game when you wear the proper filtered glasses. I'd say it's a good idea to keep a pair of them!

The other red-cyan 3D effects in the video were achieved in Blender. In any Blender scene, under the Output tab of the Properties menu, there's a menu for Stereoscopy. You can see that menu on the right here, and the resulting effect in the 3D view.

Once you click the menu on, you can view individual sides of the stereo 3D view, and if you select your scene's camera and go to Camera settings, it'll now have a series of stereoscopic settings, such as convergence amount and pivot type. It's pretty easy, and with the ability to draw with Grease Pencil or import drawings as textures in Blender, you can give any illustration some old-school 3D depth!
