Help with Connecting Discord to Patreon (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

Now that my Patreon tiers automatically add you to my Discord server, I wanted to write a help post in case anyone has been having trouble with connecting Discord to Patreon.

but I'll go over the essentials.

1. You'll need to be a patron under one of my Tiers ("2nd chair" or "1st chair") to get Discord benefits.

2. To connect your account to Discord, go to your Patreon profile settings, under the "Apps" tab, and select the Connect button for Discord app integration. A pop-up window will appear with steps to link your account. Once that's complete, Patreon and Discord will be integrated, so you should be automatically joined to my server with the proper roles!

3. If you haven't used Discord before, it's a neat and very popular chat/voice call/video call platform where users can join/create servers and make friends. When you click the Connect button in the above instructions, you can register for Discord and follow the prompts to create an account for free. Once you do, Patreon and Discord will be integrated, so you should be automatically joined to my server! I'll help you get started with Discord if you're new to it!

4. If you've followed these steps and Discord still isn't linked, try going back to the "Apps" tab of your Patreon profile settings, and clicking Disconnect for Discord. Then log out of Discord, click Connect again on Patreon, and log back into Discord. Hopefully that solves the problem and gives you your correct roles.
