It's time for October's What I Love video: an analysis of the sound design of the first Five Nights at Freddy's game! This game lays out some great examples of how audio can do way more for a horror game than just sounding creepy. The video is creepy, fair warning. But if you do muster the courage to watch it, I recommend watching with headphones in a quiet space (and preferably in the dark, if you dare...).

Sound isn't just a scare tactic; it can support or diminish the amount of control a player feels over a nightmarish scenario. Thanks to my friend Wolfgang for help editing the script! { ? I ♥ }

You already killed me in the first 9 seconds. How you changed your intro to match the spooky vibe, I just can't it's so good! I'm definitely someone who just can't play horror games, but the athmosphere of your video captured the creepiness perfectly! I was so tense the whole time, but couldn't stop watching. You amaze me every single time with every single video you make ♡ I would love to see a video about Bioshock from you in the future, because it's such a great game with an amazing heavy athmosphere as well :)

Thank you so much. I love making spooky things for Halloween, and this time I took on the challenge of making something spooky but also educational, and it was so much fun.
