Heres the final episode of Loki... and man did I not expect it to end this way - but at least this segways perfectly into a second season of Loki! I enjoy the way they set it up and the overall way this entire show was done. I thought it would be a pretty predictable ending but OFC (I should be used to this by now..) they hit us with curveballs and adding more story lore that I did not expect.

I really liked this show a lot and I hope you liked it as well. :) Thank you so much for being here with me through season 1! I hope you'll stay with me for season 2. 💖

So to explain in more detail, this show is about Lokis character, but this concerns the entire MCU. He Who Remains is a Variant of who is going to be our next imminent threat in the MCU, following Thanos. He definitely wasn't lying 😅 and Sylvie made a big misjudgment in killing him. The timeline has been controlled by him the entire time. All of what we've seen, Tony, The Avengers, Thanos himself, have been unknowingly following his control. He has to erase the timelines that branch, robbing free will because if he doesn't.... the Universe will branch out into the Multiverse, allowing our next villain.... Kang The Conqueror, to resume his war. He Who Remains is much nicer a person than Kang would be for sure. I'm not sure if you want background on what Kang is about in comics, so I'll refrain from that, but if you do, it's not always a spoiler, as Marvel will always change things and not just copy and paste from the source material. That's why the finale works. This was the ultimate setup for the future of the next 3 phases. The Multiverse is coming, and now anything is possible. Maybe you would've liked more of an epic fight, but that's saved for when Kang comes, so that's why it doesn't bother me that it was mostly just a conversation and was very open ended. Much more is coming, outside of just Season 2 of Loki. Can't wait for you to see it! If you go back to the Defenders Saga, Daredevil season 2 is next, and if you stick to the MCU again, "What If?" Is next!

This was one of my favorites because before I listened to reviews and summaries and guesses about who is at the End of Time, I guessed who it was correctly! I was so excited to get it right, lol. I love this episode, the foreboding foreshadowing of Kang and his perception of his variants, he did such a great job. He is also in the amazing series Lovecraft Country. And Loki at the end of time, feeling the weight of reality of everything. Watching him realize the truth, the danger, the unfathomable consequences. Realizing that this Kang, although a little crazy, is remarkably holding it together, which makes him understand how powerful he must be and how much of a genius Kang is. But also us seeing that this Kang has been doing this for way too long and realizing that the flaw in Kang's plan was that he wanted time to last. He wanted the universe to keep existing. Not accepting that there is an even bigger design, because he is Kang. Kang the Conqueror is a conqueror. He must conqueror. Its his purpose. He tried to conqueror time itself so he would thus conqueror existence too. But there is a bigger plan in play involving the Celestials, the timelines, and the multiverse. Note, not a spoiler, in the comics, the universe has died before and then been reborn...because it always dies and it always comes back reborn; that is the cycle. Kang was trying to stop it from happening by stopping the multiverse war but that isn't the only way the universe can end. So he didn't stop anything, only delayed it until time and the universe found a way to stop him from stopping it, lol. That is, in the comics, how its suppose to happen. I can't wait to see how the writers of the MCU play this storyline out, though. :) I know a lot of people are marvel fatigued, and I get it. I grew up learning about these stories, second hand, so for me, its not about how good the movies are, or performances, which I'm super jazzed that they are the caliber that they are btw, lol, I'm into the fact that stories that blew my mind as a kid are getting shared, applauded, and are getting such great funding to be amazing films and shows. This way, these stories can be shared to later generations without having to hunt down long lost comic books that can cost the same as a new engine for your car, lol. They are good stories, good ideas, good philosophies, great characters, crazy perspectives. All on the silver screen, finally. So there will be a season 2, its official. A season 2 for Loki and season 2 for What If...?. The break here is for the entire MCU to catch up to what Loki got a sneak peak on what is happening behind the scenes. Phase 4 is introducing us to big names. It is only ASSUMED the big bad is going to be Kang the Conqueror. Kang is confirmed to be in a later MCU film, not yet released too. But Phase 5 and 6 are still on the table, so this is no where near being over and seeing the big bad this earlier, idk. Maybe, but there are so many big bad characters that could still come into play in a multiverse storyline. Rumors are abound, there are confirmed villains for future films but its still in the air. We ALL hoped Mobius got that jetski by the end, lol.

I get wanting the next season immediately, but several of the next phase movies need to happen before we can have the next season. Spiderman 3, Doc Strange 2 and Ant Man 3 especially will be heavily dependant on this show, and the next season needs to wait for at least those things before it can carry the story on.

In hindsight, its so easy to see this was set up for a new season, but at the time it was announced as one season a second season had not been picked up. It was a big surprised that it got a second season. Also, without spoiling the lore, He Who Remains was a major reveal and an absolute stunner. I'm sure years from now as the MCU continues, we will all look back on Loki and that ending differently. Some of us knew the character the actor was cast as in upcoming movies. Others didn't, so it wasn't a big thing not knowing. I think once that all comes out, it may change your opinion retrospectively, but I totally get where you were coming from. Also if there wasn't a season 2 AND Mobius didn't get that jetski, there would have been a riot LOL.

I cant wait for the review on No Way Home. To date, its still my favorite MCU movie.

I felt a bit underwhelmed by it as a season finale too, but I'm okay with that now, now that season 2's premiere is only a few months away. I'm very curious in finding out where the storyline/lines go in Loki's story.

Now you can watch this clip of a scene from WandaVision and Loki synced up. Was this intentional? https://youtu.be/Ub3jCFh5W2Y

Because you haven't seen what's to come, it's understandable that this feels anticlimactic. But this series lays the groundwork for everything that comes after in the MCU. And that story will be getting back to Loki soon enough.

Robert Reichle

It won't be long before Loki Season 2 comes out, but there's still a lot to watch out there before getting to it, unfortunately.

So, are we getting What if or Shang-Chi next? Honestly, I'm hoping for Shang-Chi and Eternals.
