on Adama and Lee, first I do think Adama is letting his emotions get the better of him and speaking out of anger, but I think it has to do with this perception of betrayal of Tigh. At least in that scene, that moment, that's what's driving it to me. All three of them are serving together in the fleet, and through combat conditions that form very strong bonds, on top of Adama and Tigh already having a strong bond. I think from Adama's point of view, his son going after Tigh is a deep betrayal of Tight and of the fleet, of their military service, and that's the "stab in the back" that has Adama overreacting. I don't agree with that perception, but I think that's what drives such a sudden change, is to Adama his son suddenly just betrayed him, Tigh, and the uniform for......gaius frakking baltar. Which brings us to the second point, and why I also accept Dualla leaving Lee. Baltar is a political lightning rod. His trial, the issues around him, all of this, has people tribal and defensive, confident in that "everyone" knows what's "right" about Baltar and, as Romo said, the need for "righteous payback." A political trial that is threatening people's identity by challenging what they believe is "right" and every good person must also believe is right pushing them into "us or them" positions causing emotional reactions even against their friends and family......... ....as you said, this show is incredibly and woefully relevant today.

I am all for Lee advocating and fighting for civil rights and demanding a fair trial, but actually crossing over to the defense and going after Tigh and Roslin that is taking too far for me. Had Gaius lawyer been incompetent, I would even applaud Lee for stepping up. That was not the case here. Lampkin is a very competent lawyer who played Lee like a fiddle.
