Nerdy Nightly has a very compelling theory that this whole thing is based on Arthurian legend, with Bo-Katan as Arthur, and Din as Lancelot.

Why doesn't Paz just fly away?

The last scene in this mirrored the Season 1 Episode 7 last shot of Kuil....and they even used the same end credits song from that episode as well. I love that these Empire remnants are, in many ways, like the young rebellion we see in Bad Batch and Andor. Different groups, different goals, squabbling with each other. Also, Captain Pellaeon!!! (He's a big presence in the books regarding Thrawn) I'm sure that if we're going to get anything...it's going to be an Armorer reveal. Otherwise, I just assume Mandalore will be retaken by Mandalorians...and a tease for Grogu's next quest.

Episode IV certainly is, with Han Solo/Lancelot, Leia Organa/Morgana, Obi Wan/Merlin, etc.

Well, I think I can safely stand by my “content to wait and see where they take it” comment last week. I’m definitely expecting to see a Mythosaur sicced on Gideon’s forces in the finale, which should utterly demolish his “rightful ruler of Mandalore” claim. After Din’s declaration of loyalty and Bo-Katan’s admission of her prior failure I can’t see that she has any option but to launch a rescue, and Gro-G-12 will presumably be at her side, and probably helping tame the Mythosaur via The Force. Having Domhnall Gleeson’s older brother play the Elder Hux was a nice touch.

Speaking as a dad, leave it to an unofficial "uncle" to provide a toy the kid loves but drives the parent crazy. The fleet in orbit definitely reminded me of BSG, think that was a lil homage/nod. Didn't recognize any of the survivors from CW, but from that & Rebels we know there are multiple family tribes and also sects amongst the Mandalore. Like a lot of people, there is no shortage of things to divide them and cause infighting. I'm hoping they don't wrap Gideon up this season, still so much more of that character for us to explore. Also glad they are showing Praetorians as BA's, that has long been suggested in other media but not really brought to screen other than in that which should not be named. But I think they need to ramp things up to make sure the mouse stays off their back, so not expecting much of happy ending this season.

Thanks all. It's a fun week. Can't wait for finale!

I really love how Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni can go literally anywhere from episode to episode in this series and I have nooo clue where it's gonna go. At first I thought it could just be my own ignorance having seen nearly nothing of Clone Wars (I'm only now just going through the recommended 'Essential' Ashoka episodes Disney+ lists to see to prepare for that 🤩) but watching alongside your full reactions every week and you being equally surprised where things go from week to week makes me feel a little better. Paz' fate in here honestly felt a -lot- like a season 1 Game of Thrones ending, or am I the only one that felt that? Hahaha I was -instantly- brought back to Bronn's fight for Tyrion in The Vale!

Been a few episodes behind on The Mandalorian, but now I'm finally all caught up. So the gathering of all the Mandalorians and the return of Moff Gideon was pretty cool. The giant creature that womped the Mando ship was awesome, and the fights at the end had a lot of fun pew pew action. Giancarlo Esposito got to delightfully chew the scenery in every scene he shows up. But forget all of that. Grogu now has his own battle droid suit complete with Yes/No buttons. Best episode ever? I think it might be.

I’m very skeptical that the Amourer is the spy. Maybe it’s because I don’t wanna believe it. But she sounded so earnest when she was talking to Bo Katan. Especially about the Mythasaur.

Kevin C

It fits though…The Armorer was ambivalent about the Mythasaur the first time Bo-Katan mentioned it, being vague…it wasn’t until the the next episode that she began to suggest Bo-Katan seeing it meant something. But does the Armorer want her to go to Mandalore to ride it? No, she convinces Bo-Katan to unite the clans. What did Moff Gideon say to Bo-Katan? “Thank you for bringing everyone together?” Well…except The Armorer…who decided that instead of going to see the Great Forge, left to take people back to the fleet. I’d think the Armorer of all Mandalorians would be most interested in seeing the Forge. Also…the only two Mandalorians that have horns on their helmets are Gideon and The Armorer. (I’m not sure if they relate to Darth Maul, I don’t think so now.) The only thing I’m unsure of is when she began working for Gideon. She clearly was taking out Stormtroopers when the Empire stormed the sewers in Season 1, so I wouldn’t think she was working with Gideon then…but when?

Wild_Lee_Coyote

I want to see the Mandalorians to run into the Mythosaur on the way back to the surface, and then Grogu tames the Mythosaur. Then we see Bo Katan ride it back to the base to save Din. Now that would be epic.

Sonofa... I just figured out the finale. Skip to my nested comment to avoid (potential) spoilers..

The other spy that will be revealed is... The Armorer. 1. She's a cult leader. She said in BoBF that she doesn't believe that anyone that doesn't follow The Way is a real Mandalorian. This whole thing with her accepting Bo-Katan and gathering non-helmetted Mandos together? Bullshit and dirty work for Gideon, the one she considers the true wielder of the Darksaber. 2. She dipped out right before the ambush on Mandalore by a bunch of beskar clad troopers. Who made that armor for them? Why was her timing so convenient? 3. Din got pulled aside for "debriefing". Guaranteed that debriefing will include the Armorer walking out and revealing herself to be on Gideons side.

Michael Stanley

Just now watching her reactions to this, I believe Din was pulled aside to be questioned about Luke. Gideon would want to know about the Jedi that defeated his troopers, and since Din has Grogu back he likely knows something.

SummitSummit

All this "The Armourer is a spy" talk makes no sense to me whatsoever. Is this more cartoon knowledge I lack? I was kind of sad the boat smashing monster was basically pointless. They could have just parked the boat and said, "We're here!" and gone into the cave and carried on. Destroying the boat served no purpose and they didn't fight the monster. It smashed their boat, they ran away, it went back to sleep.

I hated those rumors. They literally influenced my headspace and I never thought for a second that she wasn't loyal to "our side"
