Haven’t had a chance to watch yet, but curious how you’re doing. I remember being an emotional WRECK after this episode. It was difficult to imagine ever finding joy within the Whoniverse ever again.

This episode brings tears to my eyes no matter how many time I watch it. Goodbye Rose Tyler. Thank you for two amazing seasons. You will be sorely missed! I remember an intro a couple of episodes ago, where you were talking about the finale coming up. You held up a box of tissues and said you were completely ready for it. I distinctly remember thinking "Hmmm. I'm not sure you really are ready for it....." :D

I love the score when Rose goes through the void until the end of the episode. When I listen to it I get transported back to this scene. RTD knew how to implement good music.

I’m so mad that someone spoiled this episode for you. Sometimes it’s an accident but the end of a character arc shouldn’t just slip out. I’ve seen comments on reaction videos just vomiting every detail about the finale of a show or season and I cannot conceive what enjoyment people get from that. What I also see quite often, depending on the show, are people commenting obvious insinuations thinking those weren’t spoilers as in “I wonder if we’ll see that random character again” (we will) or “Oh, you like those two characters? Interesting!” (they get together next season). I hope you can experience future episodes without any spoilers. I’ve heard reactors say that they no longer read comments because of this problem; and that makes me sad but I understand it.

Yeah, it’s hard for me to stay out of the comments because I like that interaction! It was one of my favorite things when I started the channel was talking to people about stuff. But I even get spoiled by stuff on here. I would hope people on Patreon wouldn’t want to ruin surprises, but it still happens.

I don’t know if Patreon offers any moderation tools like comment approval by someone checking for spoilers; otherwise it could be helpful to only look at comments that have been up for a few hours and check if someone has posted a reply like “Spoiler above”. (Although there’s often a gray area where pointing out a spoiler might do more harm than letting an ambiguously worded comment stand on its own.) Since most spoilers are probably the result of people being careless with their comments, a standard reminder under every post could help, something like: “If you think your comment might hint at future plot points, don’t post it. Writers of obvious spoilers will get banned immediately.”

The Daleks and the Cybermen trash talking each other is one of my favorite moments of the whole show. So glad you enjoyed that as much as I did! I always look forward to your reactions, and just started Battlestar Gallactica for the first time, so love going through those episodes with you as well!

This is a really good finale, and I enjoy how much humor is sewn through the runtime because it really is a downer of the episode from the out with the whole "This is how I died" bookending. Avoids what I call the "misery porn" that creeps into stuff like BSG. Loved your reaction to the moment when we finally find out why The Doctor had been wearing the 3D glasses. And I love this as an ending for Rose; yeah, it's sad that that chapter in her life when she traveled with The Doctor is over, but she's got her mom, and a version of her dad who is very wealthy, and Mickey, so all in all things really aren't that bad for her Catherine Tate is a fairly prolific comedy actress in the UK; there's a scene from I think a Red Nose Day special with one of her recurring characters with David Tennant appearing, and if you see it somewhere, such as on the youtubes, you shouldn't watch it yet.

Everybody loves Rose, But the show as a whole gets better and better at least through Smith's era. Hope you can avoid spoilers for future arcs / stories.

There's a special hell for people who post spoilers. Companions come and companions go, but like your first doctor with Christopher, Rose being the first companion can't ever be replaced. I think this episode was even more poignant than Parting of the Ways. But my favorite stories are still to come. I'm very excited for you to see what comes next.

This is a great episode. But there are so many more great episodes. And every companion (because just like you must have the dark with the light, so must the Doctor have a companion) has their own special something they bring to the mix. I think you're going to love every companion in their own special way.

People can't seem to help winking "oh, I know something," trying to get approval from other people in threads, as if you were an idiot who can't pick up on what they're implying. (How fast you guess things in the course of episodes should make it obvious to them.) Human nature I guess.
