The last episode technically revealed Father and Hohenheim are separate. After all, Al and Gluttony were going to Father in Central whereas Hohenheim was drunk in the countryside. Just one of those little details.

The anime version of Pixar moms . . . Unfortunately yes, anime in general often goes overboard on women with large breasts (and often even larger swords/guns/weapons of war). You'll sometimes hear people talk about "fan service" in anime. In the original Full Metal Alchemist, Winry's character design is even more sexualized. Fortunately there are exceptions, but it does seem that for every Armstrong, there are hundreds of overbuilt women. Sometimes the anime is still worth it despite that. Sometimes not. Some are worse than others. It definitely can be an issue when trying to recommend anime to people >.<

This is another chance to discuss what kinds of "spoilers" actually exist in the intro: - For a brief second at the start, you can see Ling standing with the Homunculi. But blink and you'll miss it. Plus the intro gives no context for the situation nor that Greed is involved. - Kimblee shows up, but you're given no idea how he's going to be relevant to the story. - Other new characters show up. But beyond "they look cool" there's no info as to how they enter the story. So, sure in a strict definition of "spoiler", you're being shown things you haven't seen yet in the show. But practically, any way in which they're involved in the plot is still unspoiled.

Well, FMA’s creator herself has a preference for curvy women. I think it’s simply tied to the medium of anime itself. Attempts to censor anime would make it stop being anime

I think it only bothers me because Winry is so young. It sexualizes her when she's still a child and it's awkward that a woman drew her that way

For what it’s worth, the anime studios have their own animators, and they accentuate things differently than the original manga authors do. Unfortunately Arakawa isn’t immune to having her art be influenced by a male dominant culture. I haven’t read the manga, but Ive seen some comparison’s, and imo Arakawa herself draws Winry a little different.
