“Wow! That’s a cute looking plushie!” a voice said as Allice opened her eyes to see a guy with familiar blue hair standing above here.

“It’s not for sale,” Alice said, already having to deal with the rest of the girls at Obelisk Blue trying to buy it from her.

“Well, it’s cute, but most certainly not as cute as you,” the boy said, making Alice blush as she stood up to get a better look at this guy. She was still holding Kuriboh to make sure that he wouldn’t try to take it from her.

“Don’t lie, I’m not cute at all,” Alice said looking at his face. For some reason she could help but think that this guy looked familiar, perhaps it was his feminine face, but she knew that there was something about him that seemed familiar.

“You know I actually never thought that I would see a duel spirit that could become tangible for it’s partner,” the guys said, impressed with Kuriboh.

“Well, Kuriboh is a special case,” Alice said, holding Kuriboh tightly against her chest. It’s been with me for a long time, and I don’t ever want to part with them.”

“I understand how you feel. My duel spirits are like my family,” he said to her.” I’ve only known them for a while, but they’ve become very integral to my life.”

“Wait, you can see duel spirits as well?” Alice asked, shocked that she would meet another with this gift so soon.

“Of course, I can, it’s pretty cool right?” he asked her,

“The coolest,” Alice said to him. “Hmm, I don’t think I’ve seen you around before, are you a new student?”

“You could say something like that,” the boy said to her, not giving her a direct answer.

“Fine, I’ll find out eventually,” Alice said making her way to the stairs. “I’ll see you around new guy,” she said, leaving without giving her name or asking his. There was no way that he didn’t know who she was and since he came to her that meant he wanted to duel her. If that was the case, he would have to prove himself later one.
