Holdem aka Lion dick is a "Headliner" which makes him one of the higher ranking members of Kaido's crew. He's the superior of Batman and Gazelle man who are "Gifters" A headliner is among the more elite Gifters, so Holdem, while a buffoon, is not aa weakling. I also did some digging and I goofed when I hyped up how big Kaido's group is (One of your other patrons pointed this out, albeit in a polite manner). He has approximately 20,000 followers + Orochi and his Samurai which are about 8,000 to 10,000 strong. However, the real threat lies with a particular set of 9. You met Jack, who I believe is called either an "All Star" or a "Disaster". Two others like him are Kaido's top doods and one of them is easily my new favorite supporting antagonist. The other 6 are their own group and you won't see them for quite a while, but two of them are fun characters and kind of endearing despite being antagonists. Big Mom's crew is I think roughly the same size as Kaido's, but Big Mom can more easily replace the rank and file aka her chess piece soldiers with her Devil Fruit Power. Holdem, though a higher ranking Gifter, never struck me as threatening, even with his intro here. I think Zorojuro, Luffytaro, and Okiku can take him with little problems. :)

Just a reminder that the SMILE users are not the same as Devil Fruit Users. They’re the artificial bootleg devil fruits made be Ceasar Clown and Doflamingo, the side effect being they look like weird Zoans like Batman and Lion Man. The only SMILE that works 100% like a Real Devil Fruit is Momonosuke’s Dragon fruit. The reason why his works properly in comparison is because Dr. Vegapunk made that one, while Caesar and Doffy made all the rest.
