Yeah the worldbuilding and breadth of characters is probably the best thing about One Piece. It's really impressive how Oda manages to keep building up a massive world without losing track of the main story

This one was released at the All Patrons level. Maybe Curtis didn't set the visibility setting properly when he posted it or Patreon messed up the setting.

I don't think it's a spoiler to say that One Piece's Blackbeard doesn't resemble real life Blackbeard. I'd gush over how badass he was, but I'd never do him justice. Some examples being how he had lit cannon fuses in his beard to intimidate whoever he was fighting by having an almost demonic appearance (it worked). How he put gunpowder in his drinks to fuel his reputation (either for asserting dominance on his ship or just so the rumor would spread OFF his ship that he was insane, can't remember which). Yasaku and Jonny referred to Zoro as Aniki, which is more like a term for bro more than a brother. What Luffy calls him was Nii-chan, short for Oni-san/chan, which means older brother. So there was a difference in the words themselves this time. I hope that helps make things clearer for any future anime you may be watching.
