Oh, I would MUCH rather be on Hiei's bad side. Hiei will overpower and kill you with brute force, or, possibly spare you for being too weak. Kurama, well... you've seen what HE does when he's angry. Not even Koenma can sentence someone to a worse fate than that.

I think this is a much better punishment than had he died at the tournament and we never saw him again. Especially in a universe that has an afterlife. So much satisfaction with knowing he'll be spending the rest of eternity trapped in his own personal torment.

I know this is actually just a variation on his Martial Arts uniform, but can we all agree Kurama looks good in what is basically a dress? And I say this with an unblemished record of heterosexuality. But seriously, this has to be one of the most badass “kills” in the series. His reaction to killing Gamemaster was almost as heartbreaking as the boys actual death, particularly powerful was that shot last episode where he just stood there and let the room explode around him, to preoccupied with guilt to even move.

Lets be clear, it is only eternal if the tree is. So if the good guys loose then he would probably end up being freed by some random demon. As a sidenote, he is clearly a major asshole and douche, but nobody deserves eternal punishment, that is literally infinitely more punishment than what any person deserves... except a person who gives someone an eternal punishment. It is a punishment that can only be deserved by doing something infinitely bad and is therefore in itself infinitely bad if given to anyone that has not done something infinitely bad. Just saying, even if the bad guys make it in this quest of theirs they would not deserve it.

As much as I love seeing Kurama anticipate his opponents and plan his fights around their actions, seeing him just going straight to business and not messing about is definitely a whole lot better

We would need to know if he did anything infinitely bad. I feel like Elder Toguro, given the power, would. But does he have said power? I imagine not unless you count torturing someone who has an afterlife to be tortured by his torture.

Ha great minds think alike literally seconds before you said I thought you know those teeth look an awful lot like a pearl necklace and now elder toguro looks like a ugly older woman with bad taste also Hiei said the one person he didn't against him was kurama so if hiei is giving him that much respect you know kurama is pretty badass

There's nothing particularly special about those episodes (guys I know we count on Curtis bad memory for avoiding spoilers but hyping up sections is almost the same unintentional or not expectations are set when people talk about upcoming events even if they don't mention it specifically for example just saying episode 69 is fire has one assuming it is but sometimes when something is built up you can't enjoy it the same as if you'd gone in blind)

I've said a few times that I thought Kurama's plant powers were some of the coolest in the series. But the Sinning Tree is his magnum opus, his masterpiece. Ever since he started fighting with plants in the Dark Tournament I've been wanting to see your reaction to this Curtis.
