You might've caught it in the edit, but Killua pointed out the nen erased the backup tape too

One thing to bear in mind is that Ging would have absolutely no idea what Gon would be like, whether he would be a hunter, or how old he would be if he listened to it. Ging is a character left up to a lot of interpretation, so it’s interesting to see how so many viewers interpret his actions.

Can't remember if it's been mentioned before, but if this episode didn't make it abundantly clear, Togashi is a bit of a gamer. He's a big fan of the Dragon Quest series, and has stated that the first one was a favorite of his, since it was his first RPG. I don't know if it's just a meme or if there's a source for it, but people often joke that Togashi's Dragon Quest addiction was the initial reason for his many hiatuses.

It comes through with how much love there was for the console and memory card in this episode 😂

"I feel like I've heard of that happening". You didn't own a PS growing up? Yes, you could just switch the console on without a game disk to read the memory card's saves or go over other settings.

4:38 "It's not only that she (Mito) loves Gon, and knows the perils and is afraid of losing him. All that is 100% real. There's an extra layer to it though, which is that Gon leaving is her losing Ging a second time." You never stop impressing me with both your analysis and your clear and poetic way of words.
