I decided to stop watching Season 3 of Mob after I finished the end of this arc cause I wanted to watch your reactions in close unison to when I watch the final episodes of the show. This first arc started off really slow and tbh boring for me but by the climax I realized it was all setup for one of the greatest anime episodes I have ever seen, not just in Mob but in all animated shows I have ever seen. Episode 6 is something else.

Does the version you're watching not have subtitles for the Japanese text? I don't remember if you've said whether you know Japanese but there's some visual moments that might be missed if you don't.

But the girls weren't looking at him, Alex. This episode is called "Getting Carried Away". The girls were looking at Ritsu the first time, and at Teru the 2nd time. So, both Dimple and Reigen simply wanted to make sure he stays in reality, and doesn't suddenly get unfounded ideas of grandeur, which would just hurt him even more later. Dimple's always looked out for Mob, so I'm not sure why you're saying it's good that you were hard on him.
