Mistranslation this episode. The future devil doesn't say, "Your death will fucking rule" he says, "you will die in the worst way possible". I believe crunchyroll has fixed it now.

So happy to see the Angel Devil, Shark Fiend and the Violence Fiend introduced! They’re great characters with dope character designs. There’s a common fan theory that the Violence friend took over Arai’s body (Arai was Kobeni’s old partner who got died shielding her). This is because we know fiends take over dead bodies and Arai was just killed right before Violence was introduced. There’s also some personify similarities I can’t get into yet. Anyway this theory is backed up by the opening and the ending for this episode. In the opening, the Violence Fiend is the only character not in the movie theater, presumably because Arai is already shown there. The ending of this episode featuring every agent from the eternity devil arc but instead of Arai being shown, the Violence Fiend is there. None of the other newly introduced Fiends and Devils were featured despite them being important characters to this episode and the over all story.

Yeah definitely seems like whoever did the subs might’ve been a manga reader/fan and kind of imposed their own view of what the Future Devil’s personality is like into that line instead of directly translating it lol

You're face when Makima presented the bag as you waited for the reveal ( O - O ) was priceless! Makima terrifies me by how calm she is and seemingly knows more than she ever lets on. I am highly intrigued by the devils & fiends though. Being born from what people fear & how abstract that can get. The violence fiend, the curse devil, future devil, angel devil, etc. Like is there a public speaking devil? And I am legitimately surprised the spider devil isn't bigger and more powerful......so far. I know so many people with arachnophobia, myself included.

this is the only ending ive seen people actually dislike which is surprising to me since its one of my favorite. The visuals are amazing and they match the song really well.

I really enjoyed this ending. Queen Bee has some really great songs for those who are interested in checking out their music - 火炎(FIRE) and Half are personal favorites. Also, super excited for next week since it's Eve's turn.

I mean tbh, Kurose (grating guy) isn’t really saying anything about Aki that Denji hasn’t already said lmao. Even the first episode they met, Denji immediately was like “he’s probably after some boring revenge or shit” lol

It's just an assumption cause, y'know, ten fingernails. She can use it ten times and fingernails take maybe six months to grow back. Anyways, yeah it is broken, but that's only because contracts can be literally anything. The price doesn't have to be fair. For example, Denji's is; "You can have my heart. In exchange, live."

has nothing to do with people being weird, people ship guys in shows with girls all the time and no one bats an eye, I'm personally very indifferent to the idea of ships, some are ok some are good some are eh, this one I'm pretty indifferent to but I def see where people get the idea from. A general rule of thumb is that if sexuality isn't stated then straight isn't the default and it can be whatever, or if you're gonna criticize one ship criticize all the ones that aren't explicitly stated in the show.

Came here to say that since this episode was released, Fujimoto has actually confirmed this now on Twitter. It’s no longer just a fan theory lol. When asked about why the Violence Fiend was the only one of the new crew focused on in the ED and if that meant a connection between him and Arai, Fujimoto responded “THEY ARE THE SAME PERSON” lol
