I love how cold and calculated Eren is in this season compared to his past self. It's huge character development, even if it's scary.

Ahh you missed an important end credits scene! I love those Marleyan gate guards acting like a Hannes for the kids. That said Eren being completely blank faced at his grandfather having a whole breakdown in front of him, seems like eren's changed a lot

I'm loving the parallel between Gabi, Falco and the other kids with Eren, Mikasa and Armin. Especially with the Marleyan soldiers at the gates who resemble Hannes. Really shows how the two sides of the sea aren't so different

Also just an FYI there is an end-credits scene at the end of Episode 11 "Deceiver" as well (though it's less important than this one) Basically whenever the ending theme starts before there's a "to be continued" screen, probably watch until the song ends because there might be something after the credits.

Next episode its one of the best, if not THE best episode of the entire show. as a standalone episode atleast, the next one its top tier anime. after that there is a great arc.

There's something that strikes me as being very real about the kind of thing Azula and Gabi have in common. Earlier I mentioned Asuka and I think she has something similar. It's something like... the application of your gifts towards a purpose you think will please those around you. It comes off at first as strength, but deep down it's more like a desire to be loved, appreciated, and safe.

Grisha calling out to Grice has become stuck in my head for a long time now so when he said his full name on the train, I was floored. But the subtext of the Eldian experience in those words was what helped me understand how Marley was and probably why a kid like Falco, thinking like he does, was a candidate in the first place. So subtle and so poignant.

I think this episode really captures how reiner and the other warriors kind of see the younger kids as a past/inner reflection of themselves, but also feel this hope that they would turn out differently. What I get from reiner and falco's interaction in the train after their port slava war was that reiner wants falco to be the one who changes this cycle. Still not too sure,, but that's the feeling I get from it.

The reason they;re buddy is they like Willy. The Tyburs run good PR and befriend the elites of various countries. Marley is hated for it's warmongering ways but, the Tyburs are beloved for defeating the Eldians.

Yeah and the Tyburs are basically the idea of the honorary marleyan but taken to the extreme. At this point, the status isn't a lie for them like it is for many other Eldians.

You missing the post credit scene is ironically what pushed me to become a patron lol. I've made many comments on your YT AoT vids, but I never got around to telling you you're the absolute best reactor, and I've seen a LOT of AoT reactions. So when I saw you missed the last scene and didn't tack it on to the YT vid you just posted, I was disappointed for like half a second, but then I was like you know what, this guy deserves my money anyway, I ain't even mad.

About Falco doing it 'for Gabi', I'm surprised you didn't understand. One, recall Reiner's talk to Falco on the train about rescuing her from the dark future of a warrior, with all the, you know, war, and certain death in 13 years. Also, recall how even Eren picked up on Falco's crush on Gabi, when he asked if the war hero Falco didn't want to inherit the Armored titan was a girl.
