That pink cheeks line at the start of the episode is dub only line and it never fails to get a giggle out of me, especially with how personal see seems to take it lol

I think that parent-child relationship relates so much to me. There's so much I want to do to give back, but I honestly don't think I'm ready without disrupting my own well-being, which is painful to admit sometimes. I think there will be a lot of positives for Uraraka after this match. Also it's a shame that people jump on Bakugou so much even when all he's doing is trying his best. I'm kinda surprised I feel so empathetic towards him after his main role in Season 1 was a "bully" to Deku.

Nick

This episode really broke me. I really thought the fight was going to turn out differently.

Aura Y

Oh right, another favorite character point to Aizawa for defending his students!

I love how Bakugo at the end says Uraraka name when he remembers none of his classmates' name, she earned his respect. I'm super excited about next two reactions (AOT and MHA)

Xylen

Bakugo never remembers anyone's names, and calls her Pink Cheeks at the start of the match... But when he "gets serious" and charges her near the end of the fight, he calls her Uraraka. Pretty sure Kirishima is the only other student he's referred to by name at this point. That, plus the line "I definitely wouldn't call that girl frail," are a couple of great character moments for Bakugo. Just a touch of flavour. Aside from maybe at the start of the match, he didn't gloat, and he looked pretty solemn as she was taken away. He really did respect her this episode. Also, Iida said "You're so wise" in response to Tokoyami's stoicism lol

Melanie Marie

I love your reactions bc even though he has some pretty horrible traits, you also recognize Bakugo’s good qualities like his intelligence and his respect for his opponents.

agoodwintv

Yes, I like the way Bakugo ends the episode a lot, especially in contrast to the way everyone is talking about him!

Albert Rhodes

Man, being current and rewatching this one was really cool. Something you've seen hints of but is kind of a running thing is that Bakugo like... almost never remembers classmates names (with some exceptions, of course) and often doesn't even remember their quirks. It's like he really views most as extras until they make an impression on him. Plus, he's convinced he's good enough that he can always win on his own. So when he was like "Time for us to get serious... URARAKA!!!" I lowkey got chills. I remembered the "I wouldn't call that girl frail" line, but, after you spend more time with him, the fact that he actually used her name is actually pretty hype. I am STOKED for the next episode though. It sticks with you. I would say it's like a top 10 defining moment for this show so far.

The last two minutes or so, when you said Deku shouldn’t care about Todoroki not using his left side, and this being something he’ll have to deal with on his own really didn’t age well lol

minimonie__

this really gave me chunin exams vibe lol anyone else feel this way?

J Valentine

Even though Deku gives off this cry baby, spineless vibe and when confronted usually twittles his fingers and mutters to himself in this episode he stood up to Bakugo and Endeavor not for himself but for other people. Uraraka is his friend and Todoroki is an admitted rival, but he still stood his ground for them both.

Bakugo calling Uraraka “pink cheeks” at the beginning of the battle, but calling her by name at the end is my favorite detail from this episode.

MikeWest

Wow. The recipient of a great inter-generational power being pitted against the heir to a fire throne by the occupant of said throne... and by the way their destinies seem to be intertwined... and by the way he's got a burn scar on his left eye. Can't wait to meet Totoroki's dope-ass uncle. I'm sure that's coming right up.

Jupiterninja

This just occurred to me: you should react to the Ghost Stories english dub 😂😂

BubbleTea

I choked when you said phrasing. Literally. Couldn't have picked a better time to be drinking something.

Richard Lucas

She had a great strategy. But it’s like fighting the Hulk. you can have a great strategy but he’s still the Hulk.

Andre Tan

I think it’s really great that you’re able to look beyond Bakugo’s abrasive exterior and see that there’s definitely more to him than him just acting like an asshole most of the time. I’ve seen a lot of other people also turn on bakugo during this fight, like that hero in the stands who got called out by Aizawa was sorta meant to represent the audience. From the way the fight was portrayed with his attacks being powerful and ruthless and the knowledge of bakugo’s temperament It’s pretty easy to slip into the idea that bakugo should go easy on her cos she’s a girl or that she’s “frail” without considering the other side of what that means. Aizawa is there to remind us as well that bakugo also wants to become a pro hero and he is in his own way striving for that cos with what we have seen of him so far we kinda see him as a “villain” of sorts.

Richard Lucas

That’s saying something as there are so many, though i am by no means caught up.

Sean Silence

I always love the aftermath of the fight. Bakugo saying "I definitely wouldn't call that girl frail." was probably the biggest compliment he can give. Also, Uraraka's phone call with her dad gets me every time. It's so sweet and honestly some pretty great work from the voice actors.

KrimzonHawka

Ida said You're so wise to Tokoyami (Bird guy) 😉

Anonymous

her quirk doesn't just make you float, it nullifies the pull of gravity. if she touches him once his own quirk would be enough to blast himself out of the ring.

Anonymous

your reaction was deku's off screen reaction to seeing a "daddy" calling

Simon

We really need to wait 2 Days... man.

Francesca White

"i definitely wouldn't call that girl frail" such a great line from Bakugou

Erodoehtthewanderer

I love how Bakugou goes from not saying Uraraka's name and calling her “pink cheeks” to yelling her name (and acknowledging) her as a worthy opponent

agoodwintv

Yeah standing up to Endeavor especially shocked me, coming from superfan Deku

Brimmy
