teacher might be my fave character in this universe. i watched 2003 first and she was a lot more in the main cast (bc they based the whole series off only the first chapters). she's such a great mix of tragic and anger that kinda has a large influence on Ed mainly. now that she has shown her softer side too.

I'm loving these rants, over topics I myself love to indulge in with my interests in Cosmology, as well as Philosophy. It is so cool to hear your thoughts and perspectives on these far out topics. (It's also great to hear FMA:B's perspective, as I haven't watched this show since I was around 10. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if my initial interests in these subjects were born from this show...)

not sure if you noticed it, but teachers tattoo is also the symbol on Al's armor and Ed's coat. I think they wear the symbol to show they trained under her. Almost like a tribute.

I know it was a while back, episode 2 i think? But edward says a pandemic swept over the country and their mother got sick

A content creator who is really good at asking thought provoking questions reacts to an episode that asks very thought provoking questions I have a feeling this’ll be good Edit: On a side note, I really can’t wait for you to get to the end of this series even though it’ll be a while lol, just some really great episodes coming

Yay, we finally get to meet Izumi - she's such a great character! Just to jog your memory a bit: In episode 2, I think, they mention that an epidemic swept the country and that Ed and Al's mother died from it.

The symbol is called the Flamel after the real life alchemist Nicholas Flamel who is believed to have discovered the philosopher's stone

After the series is over, you should watch the OVA's. There's one in particular I'd like to see your reaction to.

I love this episode cause im a big believer in the fact that every living and non living thing in this universe helps contribute to a bigger flow either by existing or ceasing to exist it is all part of what keeps the universe existing even if we cannot begin to imagine what the short life of a tiny ant in this one planet in the vast universe means to something soo large and cosmic in scale.

I've been grappling with the concept of All is One, One is All since I read the manga for the first time. It makes a lot of intuitive sense if I think of it as an incredibly complex mechanical system with innumerable moving parts. If we each make up some of those parts, all interacting with each other, then it produces a net effect that is much larger than what any one part could be capable of or comprehend. In the same vein, I've also recently started to feel like there's this popular perception of man and manmade things being somehow removed nature and the rest of the world that is far from the reality. I'm sure that it's not healthy, but I haven't been able to put together why yet. Maybe I'll figure it out eventually. Great reaction as always, see you for the next one :)

Nothing gets me to tear up consistently quite like "It's okay to hurt" It's hard to remember sometimes and this is such a beautiful reminder that grieving is l helpful

"In the same vein, I've also recently started to feel like there's this popular perception of man and manmade things being somehow removed nature and the rest of the world" ..................................................................................................................I like to view these things more as a part of a natural adaptation on the part of man. An ant can carry many times its own bodyweight over great distances due to a natural adaptation of its body's structure. The human, instead of adapting more dense bones and core muscles, uses its "adaptive organ" the brain to evolve slightly with the invention of the wheel, the cart, the pulley, etc. until we end up with something like a forklift, trains, or long haul trucks. Great food for thought.

I've been waiting for you to watch this specific episode! It is one of the reasons I thought you would love this show. It is so philosophically mature. Just your cup of tea :)
