Hey Elijah, I hope you see this. Amazing reaction to one of my fav parts of Volume 1. So you should react to the end credit bits (Volume 7 and 9 doesn't have them, but all the rest does), one exeption to this is Volume 2. It has been stated by creators of the show that it is not canon anymore, I won't spoil anything, just saying that it would make things confusing later on since that bit is not relevant anymore. (And it would lessen an interaction later on between characters if you watch it at the end of Volume 2)

Girl, you have no idea how badly I've been waiting to see your reaction for these episodes!! When you first mentioned that Blake's bow looked like cat ears, I couldn't freaking wait until you finally saw the Reveal that Blake did actually have cat ears and that she is actually a Faunus. I love how excited you get everytime Blake is on screen. Your rwby videos are one of the few things that are helping me keep my sanity, so thank you so much for your videos!! like others have said, the soundtrack for RWBY is really important (like how you picked up on ruby's theme during the episode!) and the character leitmotifs are scattered throughout the show if you know what to listen for! (for example, jaune and pyrrha's scenes in the previous episodes had a recurring leitmotif) and the end credit song for volume 1 is a blake-centric song called "wings"

With the reveal in this episode, there's some neat clues to go back to previous ones and see. Beginning of episode 8, watch Blake's bow whenever one of the other people show up. Her ears twitch slightly the instant she detects them coming before she turns her head to look their way.

alright now that i’ve had a chance to actually watch lol… 1. our mystery lady villain is hot it’s ok you can say it 2. it’s been 9 volumes and Penny’s “sure is windy today” is still in my top 5 favorite jokes in rwby 3. your reaction to the faunus reveal was perfect and i can’t wait for you to see her story unfold. she’s my favorite catgirl. the song that was playing when she took her bow off and in the credits is called Wings. it’s Blake’s v1 song and it breaks my heart 4. Penny is the best! the animation didn’t really do it justice but her swords come out of her backpack

Well this one is gonna do well on youtube :D Your reaction to the ear reveal was superb and very satisfying as a fan of the show and that's all I'm gonna say about that (18:41 specifically for anyone curious). And as another commenter put it, volume 1 really is an appetizer of so much to come. This little show has so very much ahead. Fun fact: between volumes 1 and 2 the fans had more or less established ship names for the various pairings and the creators were well aware. (We often refer to the creators of RWBY as CRWBY, pronounced "crew-bee" as in the crew who makes RWBY)

I was waiting for you reaction to Blake's cat ears, was everything I was hoping for and more XD As for Penny its quick but there's a short form between Penny's sword attaching themselves to the airship and her pulling it back you seen strings. Don't know if you're going to react to the soundtracks or not (may have to be patron only with what you said with how youtube is about music, it would be so fun to see you react if you do) but if you do our girls have character songs Red like Roses part 1 & 2 is Ruby. Fact the singer for songs Case Lee Williams sings part 2 with her mom so keep the mother/daughter bit in mind when listening to this song Mirror Mirror part 1 & 2 is Weiss, really gives a look at her under rich girl persona From Shadows is Blake and Adam, the lyrics each singer sings really says a lot about their different views I Burn is Yang, there is an uncensored version if you end up finding.

So to clear up a misconception you seem to have, Blake does NOT know Sun. This is the first time she has met him. Is it rushed and poorly written that she latched on to him and told him her life story when their only interaction was him winking at her? Yeah, very much so XD. Thankfully he's built up as a character from here on out but it's always awkward to watch that part cause it doesn't make sense for Blake to tell him that and feels like it's just a vehicle for us to find out her backstory lol

Yayyy!!! I’ve been doing this 🌹❄️🥷🔥 but now I can do the real one 🌹❄️🐈‍⬛🔥 Jokes aside, I love Blake so much! About the thing with the ears, Miles and Kerry (both main writers) were asked about Blake’s ‘human’ ears, and they admitted they just thought it would look weird to not have them there. The problem of making new models could have also been a factor, notice how everyone has the same body type with very few tweaks? Small budget 😅 Myself and many others headcanon that Blake’s human ears don’t function, because that would interfere with her cat ears’ ability to locate sound direction.

Btw, small detail about that "Queen has pawns" message Ozpin got. If you look at the sender name, it's sent by "Qrow". That name may seem familiar cause it's the uncle Ruby mentioned in the very first chapter that taught her to fight with a scythe. It's understandable if you didn't get the connection since it's spelled with a Q but pronounced as "crow" lol

When you watch season 2, make sure you have a doctor nearby. Some of the revelations are going to give you a heart attack. The ending of episode 3 will blow. your. freaking. mind. Maybe not as much as when you gay panic but still. You are going want to go as far at least episode 4 for you first Vol 2 reaction. Or, if you look you should be able to find the entier Volume in one video.

i have a feeling that this will not be the last time you panic over rwby ladies, but I had a feeling you would react that way to the girl at the end (not sure if her name was revealed before season 2, but don't want to spoil if it was). I'm really happy that you finished season 1 and enjoyed it. It's fine, but I think things just get more fine tuned in season 2 and onward, not as much explanation is needed and they were able to focus on more important stuff. glad you like it so much, I hope you continue with the two ep format, the eps get longer than in season 1 but are still shorter than most shows

Really nice reaction, especially to our dear Blake's cat ears ^^ Also, I'm sure someone said it already but here I say it again. The Rwby lore is so rich and vast, and so are the characters. And between every season ( or volume in this case ) there's a soundtrack for each volume. If you want to understand better the characters i suggest you react to those soundtracks, ( those include extended versions of theme songs as well you may be familiar with) In order not to get spoiled you should react to the volume 1 soundtrack after volume 1, to the volume 2 soundtrack after volume 2 and so on. It is a very very common thing among the RWBY reactors to react to the soundtracks since they're important and very well written to dive into the characters personnalities and struggles and all. it basically adds so much to the experience. Again, i know you have some issues with music in youtube (unlike others), but maybe you can do it a patreon exclusive ( Por favoor ^^ *said in cute voice by blake with rounded eyes and downed cat ears ^^) Anyways, in any case, thank you a lot for your great reactions

About YouTube and copyrights, it seems to depend on how a youtuber runs their channel. I'm not quite sure but i heard there's some differences according someone having a professional YouTube vs a regular one, and then again, there is the behind the scenes aspects behind every professional youtube account that may differ from on another. depending on the settings they have or something. So, I don't know how it works exactly but i know some reactors may have some issues and some not while reacting to the exact same thing. I know roosterteeth itself never ever had issues with long unedited reactions and that the crew even did the necessary for the reactors not to hase some issues anymore, since they encourage them. But I don't know how it is nowadays, since i think the company structure changed or something ( sorry i don't make a lot of sense, I'm french and i struggle sometimes with the english language)

Yes Jeff has been working on getting them all back up. They aren't listed as RWBY but all the songs up to V8 seem to be back. If u go to Jeff Williams on Spotify or apple music or other official music sites, they are in the albums marked as "songs part 1-8". Volume 9 is still taking time, probably due to the fact that Jeff doesn't have the rights to those ones, Casey does. But they are working to get them all back up

Also, about the parallel between the Faunus and real world oppression: Weiss’s family business, the Schnee Dust Company are based on the real life company De Beers, an old company specializing in diamonds and other luxury jewelry. They became infamous for having slaves do the labor in their diamond mines, and for having horrifying working conditions for them. The same way the Schnee Dust Company uses Faunus as slave labor for their Dust mines, which is one of the things The White Fang fought against. Hence why Blake and Adam were attacking a Schnee Dust Company train used to transport their Dust.

Episode 15: Oh, you find kitty-eared Blake adorable? Just wait until Kitty-Eared Child Blake. Episode 16: Yep, there it is. :P Hoping you plan to do a dedicated soundtrack review/react. I've mentioned before, but FlyntofRWBY on YT has some good lyric/fanart videos of each volume up to 7 and parts of 8/9. Not strictly a spoiler, but every three volumes is roughly an Arc (though volume 9 kind of bucks the theme a tad)

Haven't seen anyone mention this so, fun fact: there was a behind the scenes that showed them doing doing mo-cap for the show, walking around in the parking lot in heels. Since the crew was mostly or even all guys at the time, that's why Blake's walk looked so goofy haha.

Please don't do this. Ice Queendom is only a loosely canon spin-off that relies too heavily on later season characterization/information to view it as part of a first time watch through. Most importantly, there are several future characters in it that we haven't met yet who would end up spoiled. (Plus, they were far less subtle about where certain ships in the show were going than in earlier volumes). Ice Queendom's really written as a fun side adventure to watch once you've gotten to at least the [Redacted] Arc in V7, but can only be watched safely following V4 without any major spoilers.

Except it doesn’t? Yes we see a few characters that we got introduced to in vol 4, but it just gives more context to them when you officially meet them. And yes the villain resolution might be a little weird without seeing vol 3 but remember when we first saw that scene and didn’t get any real explanation till like vol 6? Like I get it if you might not be the biggest fan of that series/storyline but no one said you’d have to watch her reaction to it if she decided to watch it.
