It should be noted the show isn't an exact 1 to 1 retelling of the game but gets the spirit of it and does a good job at story telling decisions. Very good adaption

"Unimaginably awful villians" Ya know, that's not quite true, and it makes it worse. This isn't in any way a spoiler: We get to see some of the briarwoods' past at some point (which we actually didn't see in campaign at all—it was first shown in this series), and it makes it all so much worse just how believable they are in their evilness.
