Better late than never! Finally was able to get through Far Cry 4 this weekend, and here's my review. It was... okay. I didn't love it.

Far Cry 4 - The Hollow Min

Always gorgeous, sometimes thrilling, and overwhelmingly shallow. Developer: Ubisoft Montreal Publisher: Ubisoft Format: PC (reviewed), PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One Released: November 18, 2014 If there's one thing Far Cry 4 has taught me, it's that jamming random syringes into my arms, legs, and neck is not only perfectly harmless, but the key to a successful foreign trip.

So as a villain, how does Pagan Min compare to Zinyak?

Anonymous

I'd be more willing to have sex with Pagan; he seems less... pointy.

The funny thing is. having played some Ubisoft AAA Games and don't like there concept that much anymore I know already from any new Ubisoft Game that I don't want it. No other Publisher is THAT

- Predictable. Sorry, messed upt something.

I love that summary Jim. Makes me wonder why I read through so much pseudo-intellectual analytical BS from other review sites just to figure out how much they liked playing the damn game.

Yup that's what i thought was coming after the bit of gameplay i saw on Jim's channel, and others. Makes my psyched for Far Cry 4: Blood Dragon 2 though.

'Overstaying it's welcome' seems to be Ubisofts MO these days. Getting the same feeling when playing Asscreed a Black Flag, hasn't played one since 2, so I'm not as 'tired'of the core experience, but the naval stuff was fantastically novel. But as with Far Cry here, after a while it just gets to become a bit of a slog.

Hey Jim, by any chance, are you planning on playing/reviewing Dragon Age: Inquisition? After reading this review, I'd be quite curious to read your thoughts about that game. Keep up the good work!

It's kind of like all the bad things of FarCry 2 collide head-on with all the good things of FarCry 3; leaving behind a huge, densely-packed wreckage that no-one will stop and look at for long, but appreciated the quick, cursory glance.

Great review, I really enjoyed Far Cry 3 so will give this a go after Xmas.

Oh yes! I'd be really interested in reading that review.
