Go Godot!

Hey everyone!

I wanted to give you an update on how everything is going. Specifically, how the port of OWH over to the Godot engine is going and what the art situation is. Today, I have reached a major milestone. All the UI in the game has been completed! I am really loving the new engine and using Dialogic has been so much better than using Tyranobuilder. Here are a few screenshots of my progress:

Here we have the new main menu along with the title screen. The buttons are looking much nicer and I can actually have the config button located on the title screen (take that Tyranobuilder).

Next we have a familiar scene of Ginger as she is about to kick EX’s ass. Notice our new menus down the bottom left. They are for the pause menu and history log.

I have tried to keep the UI itself familiar, but I have done a bit of tweaking of things like opacity so that you can see Molly and Ginger’s sexy legs even during dialogue.

Here is something completely new for the Godot version. A threat tracker interface that shows you how aware the Regime is to your operations.

New Art(ists)

I am currently working with a few new artists to continue making art for OWH. My main concern is keeping style consistency. Fortunately, two new artists have stepped up to the challenge. Here is a WIP sketch of General Vera:

Where to Now?

I have started the work on re-adding the introduction which will be modified slightly with a new prologue that focuses on the Dictator and General Vera as well as a slightly different Molly/Ex relationship dynamic. Then I will release an alpha version of the game (which will include an empty operation hub) for patreons to test. Thank you to everyone who has decided to stick with me through this rough development patch and I look forward to brining you more content soon.
