Squeeze!

Ok, one huge fudge up on my side when it comes to men's fashion...you don't wear suspenders AND a belt together. It's totally nonsensical. And a fashion conscious guy like Jack would especially not do such a foolish thing...yet, here we are...because I got the derpies XD

By the time I notice that mistake I already drew way too many panels with him in it...so instead I turned it around in Walter's dialogue, pretending all of this was planned! (while it truly wasn't ^^")

I really like the first panel with the squeeze. I was so worried when I roughed the page because I felt this pose will be sooooo difficult and hard to draw...I'm destined to screw this up. Instead I really like how it turned out. Dynamic, movement, expressions. I'm really happy how it looks. Also, as you may know due to 'in SECURITY', I really like when inanimate objects express a characters emotions (like with Sedine's hair ribbon often mimicking her antics). So Jack's glasses and bowtie jumping off his face and neck is a really sweet detail for me personally ^^

Also, dabbling again a bit into the nature of cats. I mean, what would be the point of a comic about catboys if they don't act like cats, right?

It's been said that cats always find their way home. Not sure how true that is or if there's like a area limit to it (like, a lost cat will find its way across counties but not across states etc.). But since we already dabbled into a more supernatural element with Mino's good luck ability and the nine lives, might as well go full force and utilize other myths and fun facts in this comics. In other words, yes, Walter found his way back home to Jack simply by putting his mind to it. Or in other words: "Ein Kater kennt den weg"...Which is actually a song by the band 'Samsas Traum'.

They were my favorite band back when I was an edgy teen. And, although I still listen to them here and there, I'm not as obsessed with their works nowadays. However, I thought making a reference to that song was a nice little nod to them and my past self. On top of that that sentence sounds so pretty ('a (tom)cat knows the way'...c'mon, that's just really cute). The song itself is also one of their more mellow and gentler works. To sum it up, it's performed from the first person perspective and about expressing gratitude towards a person who's presents helped the singer to cope with life, fears and such. It's a really gentle piece (which can't be said about most of ST's music. ...well, thanks for letting me babble about that ^^

On a funny note, since 'Kater' is also a word for hangover, if you punch that title into Google translate it'll give you 'a hangover knows the way'. Which is kinda funny because....yeah, drunk people often speak what's on their minds and once the alcohol has worn off...you sometimes know what's cooking :P

OK, that's it for this weeks update. We are approaching the finale of this chapter and...it's not going to be pleasant (I'm afraid).

Thanks for reading and have a nice Sunday.

It's funny...I love giving out hugs but I don't like being hugged or touched by other people. I also wore suspenders once but it was a pain wearing them so I gave up lol. I smiled when I saw Jack in the first page, he's so adorable when his tail is puffed~

Actually you can and a lot of men do wear suspenders and belts. This is especially true if you have accessories on your belt, like a phone case, gun, etc. Most cops do and many detectives and just a lot of men in general. You just don't see the suspenders because they are under the top shirt.

Thank you. Same here. I'm very picky when it comes to physical contact. Even with close friends and relatives it's a bit awkward. However, giving someone a pat on the shoulder or such is no issue. I guess it's like being in control ^^" Also, last time I wore suspenders was back in Kindergarten. I don't hate them but...I guess I prefer looking at them over wearing them XD

I din't think of it in that term but you are right. As utility belt (or just as fashion element in any way) both elements should work perfectly fine. Completely overlooked that aspect, thanks for pointing that out ^^
