Look who's over for dinner WIP (Patreon)

There were a couple things which weren't properly addressed in this arc and which made me a bit sad in the hint sight :(

One was why Hubbs came over in the first place and the other one why he didn't celebrate Thanksgiving with his mom (...well, it's kinda one thing XD)

Here the explanation why he was invited for dinner. Actually Sam invited only Ellie (who's parents don't live nearby and therefore she was alone) who then asked to bring someone along. So she invited Hubbs over, who thought his pal Al is asking him to watch the Thanksgiving football game with him on TV (therefore the football he brought along)

We noticed too late that this misunderstanding wasn't address properly. So we shoehorned in some dialogue in which he addresses the game in panel 2.

The reason he wasn't celebrating with his mom...well, I hope to get back to that some other time since we didn't find any space for this after all. But in the strip on the 11.21. he'll give a hint :)

Biggest change was done in panel two, not only dialogue wise. I wanted them to look more like a couple (otherwise the parents reaction in the last panel would made no sense). So Ellie is glomping on Hubbs, dragging him in. I really like how it turned out.

Aside of that, Sam's mom turned on her Fujoshi-mode by being more happy than astound seeing the new guests. This was our way to turn off her screeching and turn her mood more appealing.

Sedine's dad dialogue gave me a bit of a headache. Originally he said: 'those clothes...I just lost my appetite'. I was worried he would be seen as too judging. After all, the flashback arc and Ellie's transformation was a while back. So I didn't fully bank on people remembering where the clothes came from. Thankfully, pretty much everyone got what he was referring to. ^^
