Tutorial Intro Preview (Patreon)

The premise of the tutorial is that the Drama Club is rehearsing a school play about a serial killer, and they have invited Ayano to play the role of the killer.

This provides a scenario in which the player receives instructions on how to commit murder and get away with it in a "safe" setting with no judgement, no permanent consequences, and no possibility for failure. The player is allowed to practice any aspect of the process as many times as they want by selecting it from a list. I plan to provide around 15 scenarios for the player to choose from, each of which is designed to guide the player through a different aspect of the game.

(Emphasis is on making it a "modular" feature so that I can add new tutorials in the future with minimal effort.)

The tutorial begins with a short cutscene where Kokona asks Ayano for help. This cutscene will have voice acting. (I already contacted the original voice actress for Kokona and confirmed her availability.)

The cutscene will have two outcomes: Player accepts, and player declines. Preliminary work on the first half of the cutscene can be seen above. If you notice anything janky about it, don't worry; it'll be cleaned up before it's added to the game.

In a future Patreon post, I can show off some of the actual gameplay of the tutorial. I'll touch it up a bit first before recording footage of it, though.
