It's been a very difficult journey, but we've finally arrived at a very important milestone. Osana is complete, and the official demo is now available!

In this video, I take the opportunity to debunk a lot of misconceptions like "Osana took 6 years" and "every rival is going to take 6 years". This video also goes in-depth about the reasoning for why I wanted to spend so much time building a content-rich, feature-complete demo. Furthermore, the video also covers why I want to hold a crowdfunding campaign, how it would affect development speed, and what'll happen if the crowdfunding campaign fails.

Thank you very, very much for sticking with me throughout all of the ups and downs of the past 8 months, and thank you for supporting the development of Yandere Simulator!

I downloaded the demo, and after the sponsor screen, the game goes black. There music, but nothing else.

i got this too. try pressing enter or "e" and see if part of the menu shows up. when i do this i can see text, but the game background is not present. i think it's some gpu/driver issue.

I'm playing the demo right now. So far some issues I have is it's hard to see the heart arrow on the starting menu when making a selection it camoflauges a bit with the background I think. Also with the dialouge boxes it may be a good idea to have an auto button. There doesnt seem to be a way to hold a button down to scroll through the task menu on a game pad also.The dialouge at 7:30 between osana and raibaru had the word 'check' spelled wrong. I'll post more if I find anything else but I'll try to keep it brief. =w=

Yeah, the heart arrow bothers me, too. I'll definitely look into improving that in a future build.

Even though I knew it was coming (since you keep Patrons informed), congratulations on completing the demo! I always had faith in you. I look forward to the crowdfunding and hope it's a success. I'll do my part. Sorry I can't give any constructive takes on the demo itself -- I'm in between PCs now. I hope YOU feel better today; you've proved your critics wrong in the best way possible.

Congratulations on this major milestone! I have not so far played the game (and I won't for a time as I expect bugs like any new major release). What I would like to know is: - Do we have that ingame walkthrough that was mentioned in previous updates? - Can we save the game yet?

I'm glad to see that the game has progressed to this point, in spite of... circumstances. I can't wait to play the demo as soon as I have free time, and I'm already setting money aside for when the crowdfunding campaign starts up.

I need to keep playing to see if the FPS problems were fixed. They occurred after registering all the NPCs and then toggling their outlines. The playable character looks extremely out of focus, blurry. I tried fixing that with the new graphical settings to no avail. I also found a half naked NPC walking into a bush. I have screenshots.

We have "Schemes", which are basically in-game walkthroughs - or, the closest I could get to them. There is a saving/loading feature, but it can be a bit buggy sometimes. I'm still fixing bugs related to it.

Since Osana is out long enough, I am downloading the demo version. I would like to know whether the demo version downloaded from the yandere simulator site is the current version of 18th September or an earlier one.

Completely new guy here. Never played the game, never watched the gameplay part of the videos. Never played Hitman either and just a few levels of stealth games like thief... So, I am the guy that doesn't know how these games work and still wants to play the game. Where can I send the new-blood's feedback? For example, I don't remember where half of the buttons are so a PDF to go with the download that would show us that keyboard shortcuts would be useful. I understand that the game is not meant for complete noobs, but I would like to give it a try. I find the premise much more interesting than similar games of the genre. I believe it would be beneficial for the developer if the game was more "approachable" by people that haven't followed the development carefully for the past couple of years and played the debug modes etc.
