Is it cool if I switch out one of my two movie recommendations? I'd like to switch out Manchester by the Sea with The Power of the Dog, directed by Jane Campion and is in conversation for Best Picture at the next year's Oscars. I’ve posted this before so sorry if it counts as spam :)

Stranger Than Fiction made a poll! It's totally gonna get squashed by all these heavy hitters but it's worth watching. It's a quirky and endearing little dramedy with a rare sincere and understated Will Ferrell performance. It pleasantly surprised me.

I am really surprised there is not more love for Night of the Hunter. We need fewer good movies in these polls. We got 2 Kubrick's, Amadeus, Die Hard and a non-crystal skull Indiana Jones here. No fair...

I think not enough people have seen The Night of the Hunter! I’m grateful it was shown in a film class I took 20 years ago so I had the opportunity to watch it and analyze it with everybody.

I certainly would've been ecstatic if Stalker got a reaction video; however I was just grateful to be able to vote for it every week for two plus months. Stalker was my introduction to Tarkovsky. Maybe it'll be on these polls again some time in to future, and that'll be cool too. But I agree with you too, these are a great selection of films to choose from.

Hi James! New patron here... it was your heartfelt reactions to Schindler's List and It's a Wonderful Life that brought me in. Big votes from me for Dr. Strangelove and Eyes Wide Shut. I was wondering, have you reacted to or seen 2001: A Space Odyssey? My own personal favorite Kubrick film and IMHO one of the greatest films of all time. I'm also curious if you've seen many Hitchcock films. Really loving your content...keep the dream!

Not gonna lie this is gonna sound snobby as hell. But I hate when a good reaction channels get more of a Main Stream fan base because they always go from reacting to cult classics and films with a bit more edge like American History X and La haine to more fuckboy commercial darling films like Die hard and Indiana Jones... wish there was a separate poll for Commercial films and another for more art house or even genuinely good critically acclaimed films.

I mean sure I get that, but we’ve also have a bunch more examples of films such as French films, underrated sci-fi films, war films, and a lot of other films that are on the channel. Personally feel the grand scope of films we’ve watched on here speak for themselves rather than just one poll you’ve seen. Just my thoughts though! Just keep voting is all I can say, I think the pacing of films I’ve been uncovering myself and with the community have been a great journey. Hope you feel better dude! Extra note: hold up, are you saying Die Hard and Indiana Jones aren’t good because they have a bigger audience or…?

Oh dude, my apologies if it came off as something bad on my end haha. I honestly had no bad intentions with that comment! Was only just responding from a neutral place cause I get it hahaha. As of right now, I personally know I won’t ever let it get to the point where Marvel and Dwayne The Rock Johnson films are dominating the polls and channel haha. There are several transcendent movies on this list, and "Into the Wild" will never win, because most people haven't seen it. But I do agree, it will connect with James on every level. He should just pick it himself, for his own benefit.

The Last Crusade is a solid end to the trilogy. Can't believe we forgot to remind you!! I expected the DieHard and Dr Strangeglove to be favourites to win the poll. Great films. Still voted for Harold and Maude and Night of the Hunter though lol. But solid list either way!
