I generally liked the manga a lot more than the film, but Beat Takeshi really elevates the teacher role so much compared to the manga version.

This is one of my absolute favourite films, always loved this, and I really enjoyed watching it through again with you, and I think I'll have to finally get a hold of the manga. This is a bit of a long shot, but I'd love to see you react to a film called Uzumaki (alternatively known as Spiral), which was also based on a manga (by Junji Ito), it's a really strange and atmospheric film, and another of my favourites.
