Modding Diary - I gave babies jaundice (Patreon)

 Hi guys! I hope you all are well! 😍

Following last week, I finished the "add iron to milk" interaction.

To add iron supplement to milk you just click on the supplement object and select "Add Iron To Milk" while having milk in your sims inventory

 it will ask you which bottle of milk you want to add iron to your sim will take out a dropper

 and put a few drops of iron into the milk then give it a good shake to shake it up

the milk will say "With Added Iron" afterwards which can be given to babies who has anemia to help them recover faster

Then I worked on giving babies jaundice, which will cause their faces and bodies to look more yellow than usual. It was a delicate balance between giving them just enough yellowness to make it obvious that something is wrong but not too much that it makes them look like a simpson character.

 babies who have jaundice can be treated with phototherapy using bili lights. Doctors at the hospital should turn this light on autonomously when your baby has jaundice, or you can turn it on yourself manually. I hope the blue light doesnt look too daunting but if it does please feel free to let me know.

once your baby has recovered from either anemia or jaundice you will get a notification to let you know. Believe it or not this took me forever and a half to make and I had to rework my entire illness system just to get them to show up 🥲

For this update I want to make at least one more illness for the babies, and after that I want to make it so that friends and families can visit your sim and their babies at the hospital.

I want to thank you all for always supporting me and always being so patient. Some of you have asked when this update will be coming out, the truth is I am working my hardest and its coming out whenever I finish making it. I want to release the update in a state that is bug free and fun, and it takes time to achieve both. I would absolutely love to make a couple of custom animations for the friends and family visit, such as one that allows other sims to give your sim flowers during their visit, or say hi to the baby through the incubator. I think it will really make the experience more special. 🥺but animation is time consuming, so please bare with me for a little longer!
