Picnic with Gael this morning and I think we all know how that went. Paid bills, corralled my dogs, snuck out while they weren't looking so I could take up two parking spots at the home improvement store to buy doors and get the house ready to be painted. Have to work tomorrow as the 80 hour work week this week wasn't enough, but today, I can enjoy the sun.

Exhausting. My mom is having a party and I'm cleaning the house extra carefully since my cousin is bringing her toddlers over. The last time I was ill prepared for toddlers in my house, it resulted in a ten year stain on my carpet when my cousins found some nail polish and tried to put it on by pouring the stuff on their hands and it spilled all over the white carpet.

It's been so lovely! My husband and I took our kids to go see Beauty and the Beast. It was so good. I wasn't even too embarrassed that I cried--it was my favorite Disney movie growing up, and it was magical to see the live action version. I guess I always had a thing for a guy who growls. 😁 Hope you all are well! 💕

I've spent most of today watching movies I love, organizing my DVDs/BluRays (shut up) and just chillin'... Yesterday is a fog. It took WAY TOO MUCH pain meds to get my pain under control enough to function. So, I don't remember most of last night. haha (Mr. was home to keep an eye on the kids and me, so I wasn't at risk of any craziness!)

My weekend is going great! I'm enjoying being outside doing my springtime yard work and a bit of landscaping and creative artwork. The Home To-Do list never ends, but I am so thrilled to be able to get out for now in the refreshing sunshine and open air minus the pollen, haha! I want to get as much stuff caught up as I can without pushing past my limits before I see my neurosurgeon in 17 days for my spinal issues. I admit I am fairly anxious about the high probability of surgery being the only treatment option to 'fix' the problems. The closer it gets, the more my anxiety and insomnia is kicking in. If I have to have neurosurgery, then so be it. Sooo...Me, I'm trying to stay as busy as possible without overdoing it by getting outside and throwing in some of my creativity to keep my mind off it and pacify myself. After a super-extra-busy week, I slept until 4 pm yesterday, then made everyone here some vegetables in korma sauce for dinner. Now I plan to relish my 9 remaining days off work by doing all the things I haven't had time for in a while: baking, stitching, gardening, reading, and maybe *finally* getting to the National Museum of the American Indian for more than just a quick meal with my girlfriends. Actually, I have not heard this usage. It is a slang term for people. Over here, we use "guys," "homies," "y'all" (if you are Southern), etc. I like peoplings, though! Ask any English questions you want -- I may have to brush off my really rusty German!

Good Wednesday evening from California! I have so many celebrity crushes...Robert Pattinson was the most recent.
