Dearest Amanda, I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while, me and my nose miners are having a tough time. I'm excited to go back and read/hear everything I've missed. Love to you and yours, Boo x

Thank you for sharing so honestly ladies, I wish this kind of honesty was the common practice, I think it would make that guilt we feel so much easier to bear, and to forgive of ourselves. I'm a mother of three, they're aged 18, 14 and 12. I did my undergraduate degree as a single parent when my youngest went to full time school, and that was hard, but fine. I did a lot of all night study sessions, and did all of my self teaching at home, so I was home with them more than I was at uni. Then I started work full time, and gradually, over 12 months of juggling the long hours away from home, health problems for myself and my children, and the usual crap life throws at us all, guilt, and the almost impossible balancing act had totally crushed me. I have spent two years fighting panic attacks, agoraphobia and a whole lot of self-loathing at my utter failure. I am dusting myself off now, and my focus has changed. I know I can't do everything. I'll master the balancing act one day, and perhaps get a gag for the internal voice that never stops talking, and is ever so harsh and critical. I applaud all working mothers, woman who chase their dreams and those whose art (which is science in my case) is their vocation, and I applaud the fathers who truly have their backs, like your fine men. It's so valuable to us as women and mothers, and to our children, who deserve to see us in our full inspiring, working (whatever that means for you), and creative glory. Thank you again ladies, you are wonderful and beautiful humans x

Hi Amanda, hi community, I could use your help. Shamefully I have to admit that I missed the art of Missy Higgins up to this wonderful podcast. So you might help me with a recommendation which album might be the right to start filling this gap. Thank you so much

My personal favourite is 'The Sound of White' album. Happy listening. She's an amazing human and an amazing artist.
