hi everyone.

quickie: i'm chatting live with leslie salmon jones starting at 5pm EST (that's NYC time, and it's 11 am for me here in NZ). these chats have been just wonderful, they're patron-only and then the archive is live for all people. come join us and bring your questions, thoughts, fears, and hopes. we're gonna breathe together. we need it.

i chose leslie this week for a reason. we need to breathe, we need to ground down. we need to remember the bigger picture. leslie is gonna help us.

i'm really tired, and i bet you are too. i'm just bone-ass goddamn tired. i am trying not to obsessively check the news. 

i would have liked to just stay in bed with ash and a pile of books this rainy new zealand weekend and make occasional trips to the kitchen, chicken coop and vegetable garden...but yesterday we boarded two planes, and here we are in dunedin. 

i have never been this far south on the globe...it's beautiful...and it is cold.

i have my show here tonight at the regent theatre and tomorrow we have our patron party on quarantine island. there may be SNOW tomorrow!!!! a ferry in the snow in dunedin sounds like a good song to me....come ready for the cold, people.
