greetings from havelock north. i just finished a 2-hour meeting (now a weekly occurrence) about the upcoming podcast and that shit is on fire....so, yeah, be happy about that. xanthea is helping me put the podcast together, and i'm so lucky to have her here in NZ with me...she's armed with a zoom, and we are brewing coffees and recording new intros and working on a big ol' launch (currently in late sept) to give these podcast guests the attention they deserve. 

and i'm trying to go slower in my life in general....i'm wobbly right now. i feel like i'm treading water in a cold pond, but it's okay. i took ash to drag queen storytime yesterday at the hastings library and it made everything ALL OKAY. 

for an hour, everything was david bowie stories, self-love, freedom and sparkles.

this is coco and erika flash...they are queens from taranaki.

for now....a super-quick update about the upcoming tour dates here in my weird new home turf....as i'm sure you probably know, the government has decided to keep aotearoa new zealand in level 2 until further notice, and that means no events with more 100 people.

given that, we've talked with all the venues and decided to simply DELAY the entire tour - that seems wisest. 

auckland is anybody's guess; i doubt auckalnd is going to be out of level 2 by october 2nd, but we can pray. we will keep y'all in auckland posted about that show. i'm hoping to be able to do something small and intimate for patrons only if auckland hits and stays in level 2....we can find a way.
