Thank you, Amanda. I didn't know about Jason's Dad. I feel like I need to make something now. I will. Anyway, all the best for the rest of your travels. Wish like crazy I could be there for New Zealand.

I listent to this appropriately on the 9th in my bed in Detroit with my cat purring on my chest. I too much prefer people's houses to hotels. I am glad that you still are doing this sort of thing! I hope the rain helps the land :-) thank you for sharing your experience.

T Nonya

PS the lady who I sat next to at the Detroit concert is a patron of yours because of your writing, and has a daughter my age. She hadn't listened to your music but thought you were the bee's knees and came along anyhow. She really enjoyed the show. She brought along her husband, and said her daughter would never understand that her mother liked this sort of thing! I would estimate she for sure is in her sixties. So- You have 'adult' friends and fans! Shocking, I know... but part of life and wonderful! We're all in a continual evolution of years.

also, thank you for letting the patreon know about Jason's dad. I've been off social media for a while now. I will reach out to him 💓

Thank you for the morning ramble, it's such a miracle when a soul fits into another on a walk with the dog and headphones :) couldn't stop yawning! and I see that others too.. It's so funny, empathy all around.. The hotel vs. couchsurfing is a great way of looking at our human differences and understand how our trust receptors and feeling of safety work, i will keep knitting these ideas in my head. Stay dry and enjoy the cities 💜

You're a great narrator Amanda, I thoroughly enjoyed that. Thanks! Spewing (how Aussie of me) I don't live in Sydney as that Pitt St church would've been such a good place for an open forum. I can't believe I missed this tour! The last gig I saw on that note was Roisin Murphy at the Forum here in Melbourne, OMG did she belt it out of the park, fuck that was a great show!! Also I disagree with that Sydney Morning Herald reviewer who said that Bruce Springsteen's a better songwriter than you. Horses for courses, I really don't think there's any comparison but he's far too hetero male for me in a certain way I can't relate to, I prefer your work obviously lol.

I listened to this voicrambel sitting under a blanket put over like a tent. A wonderful stream of warmth literally and mentally. Thank you!

Why are you surprised that someone in their sixties is an Amanda Palmer fan? I'm 75 and discovered her music and writing as late as last summer :-)

T Nonya

I am not surprised. I was surprised that Amanda was surprised! 😆 The 'shocking, I know' part was said more tongue in cheek. Music to me is ageless. My mom likes a lot of the bands I listen to, and is 62. 🤷

Well, I just found my new favorite way to start any day. Thank you for stoking the love and trust and safety hearths of the world with your work every day.
