PATRON SHINTAIDO TOMORROW

Patreons of Dublin! The pre-concert Shintaido practices on this tour in Bexhill-on-Sea, Cardiff, Cambridge, and Cork have proven phenomenally exciting and sharing this experience of connection in the afternoon before the concerts is... Good. So we're bringing it to Dublin as well.

The pre-concert what? Shintaido, a modern Japanese art of body movement and expression of life. Read more about it at http://www.shintaido.co.uk/what-is-shintaido/ or you can watch a 5-minute video about it at http://shintaido.weebly.com/video.html

...for complete beginners, people in any kind of physical condition. Here we are in Bexhill out on the beach. And here we are in a yoga studio in Cardiff.

And Thursday the 24th the weather report is good, so we will be at St Stephen's Green near the Bandstand https://goo.gl/maps/iBV19DoScUckczcy9

4:30 - 5:30 pm

I am busking my way through this tour at Amanda's invitation, so this is a pay-what-you-wish 0 - €20 thing. Wear comfy pants for movement.

Questions? Feel free to email me at shintaido@dfranklin.org or WhatsApp +420608534383.

I'm David Franklin (a.k.a. manta) and I'm traveling with Amanda Palmer & crew offering Shintaido movement practices. I'm a Shintaido instructor, visual artist, performance artist, and video- and filmmakerI and was part of the same art scene in Boston in the late 90s and early 2000s where the Dresden Dolls first made their debut. I also BTW worked with another long-time Amanda Palmer collaborator Michael Pope to produce the Dresden Dolls first two music videos, "Girl Anachronism" and "Coin-Operated Boy," and the experimental film/performance "Neovoxer."

i love you all

Your music is like nothing else I own and your show was like nothing else I’ve seen. From beginning to end it felt like you gave us absolutely everything of yourself. It really was incredible and moving and funny and sad. I’ve certainly never seen a rockstar light the candle at our table before their show! You are a great host but I think you were hard on yourself. You’re an astonishing musician and performer. Thanks for coming to Cork.

Hi Amanda,

I was at the Cambridge show - do you think you could share the pre show playlist? Literally the soundtrack to my life so far! So many memories around some of those songs, it would be great to have the whole playlist on Spotify etc? Thanks!

Katie Ní Mhaoláin

Could I please get guest list for two? Katie Ni Mhaolain. Thanks!

Are the guest list tickets the same as ordinary tickets?

Hi Amanda, I am one of those introverts who gets a fright when people are overtly being social like that at parties and I have to warm up first, so I didn’t go and say hi to you and now I am sorry I didn’t, I’m 43, sounds like I’m 17. The show was amazing and I brought along some people who will be fans forever. If there are a couple of tickets left for Dublin, I would be very grateful. Kerstin Walsh Hope you get to recharge!

Thanks for last night. What an emotional rollercoaster. I've never seen a show that made me feel so much before.

It was an incredibly raw and intimate performance. We really enjoyed the show. Thank you for your incredible authenticity and for being you.

It was amazing. Thank you for coming to us and being so open and honest. I feel honoured to have seen that show. I know it must have been difficult, it looked difficult and some members of the crowd were difficult, but know that there was love there too. I can't remember the last time I clapped that hard. xxx

Yes! It’s a seated show so all tickets will be an assigned seat in the venue.

An amazing show and the apolitical lobby conversation was a new experience for me ! I loved it, and thanks for the beer! The show inspired me to become a patron, I have just joined!!! I'm delighted to support you to create art, without having to put up with parasitic entities. It was emotional, open, raw and totally inspiring!
