hola comrades!

greetings from a secret little video shoot on the way outskirts of london... hopefully this secret won't stay a secret long and we'll get it out by the end of the month; without giving it away it is pithy and political in nature.  here are a couple of sneaky set photos by gabrielle motola (she is back on tour with us, hooray!)

i'm literally sitting in the basement of the video-shoot set with michael who is literally taking dictation for this post because my hands have been rendered unusable due to the nature of the secret video shoot.  it will all make sense soon.

we are back on tour TOMORROW starting in cork and then heading to the rest of ireland. the show in dublin is almost sold out but there are plenty of tickets for everywhere else, please keep spreading the word.  all of the show info with start and curfew times is below.

before i hit you with ireland info here are some of the photos from cardiff and cambridge we had an absolutely wonderful time in both cities... thank you for everyone who came to the shintaido gatherings before the shows.  it's a slightly unorthodox thing to do before a show but i actually found it incredibly comforting to gather up with everybody and holler like weirdos.

if you're still confused about shintaido and why we're doing it, you can read all about it and david franklin here

and now corkonians, we will be bringing shintaido to your city before the show as well

Details: Wednesday 23 October, 4:30 - 5:30 pm

here are a couple of live photos from gary lloyd from the cambridge show....

we hit our curfew so i continued our show in the lobby with some help from some new friends
here is someone who grabbed me for a photo after shintaido...i didn't catch your name but your children are beautiful!

How do I sign up for the Shintaido again? And how much is it? Super excited for the show - can't believe it's here already!

Went to the shintaido at Cambridge and wasn't planning on taking part but thought it would help keep me warm. Glad I joined in as not only did it keep me warm I really enjoyed it. The show after was amazing and meeting you after, having my back signed and getting a hug was overwhelming. Thanks Amanda for everything, can't wait for London.

Thank you so much for an amazing experience in Cambridge! I almost didn't go, as anxiety screamed at me all the way from Peterborough. I told my fiancée to turn around and take me back home three times, but he refused. And thank fuck he did! He didn't come with me to the show, or even to Cambridge, because our animals are really bad at taking care of themselves, because they're animals. But I think I've made a new fan simply by raving about how amazing it all was. It really felt like going to meet an old friend. <3 Thank you for a show that broke every fibre of my heart. Thank you for singing all those songs about me and so many people I know - and don't know. And thank you for hugging me so tightly afterwards that it put some pieces of that broken heart back together again. Also thank you for scribbling some random love in my book so I can ink it on my body! In short; thank you for being you. I love you too!

Amanda, I have been harrassing Alex...to alert you to the tweets I've been sending to you about connecting with Blindboy while you are in IRELAND. He's the other person I support on patreon. I jumped on his bandwagon at the beginning, just like I did with you. You guys need to meet. Have drinks. Do a podcast. Go to each other's gigs. He's also in Australia in February - doing live podcasts. He is a champion of mental health, while being a font of wisdom and knowledge and cracking satire. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE connect...make my heart happy. You will know and understand each other and be of great value to each other's artistic and emotional and intellectual journey's. Please please please connect with Blindboy! He's also an Author, TV political satirist, hip-hop anarchist, Irish Historian and is possibly the kindest human on the planet - in tandem with yourself. And he's FUNNY AS FUCK. Find him on Twitter, Instagram and youtube as @rubberbandits or listen to his podcast (The Blindboy Podcast) please??? And then once you find each other, I can sleep. :) lol LOVE YOU. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN SYDNEY. YOUR'E ALWAYS WELCOME TO COUCH SURF AT MINE. XOXOXOX

Hi I’m in Cork I would love a pair of tickets Kerstin Walsh is the name

I would love to get my mum a Cork ticket! She took an afternoon off nursing her best friend/my aunt through cancer to go to your London pub gathering at my request, where she hugged you and cried and told me every detail. After nursing her for months and easing her transition, we just buried that friend last week. My mum is back in Ireland now and I know it would mean the world to her to experience the catharsis of your show - of this show in particular, I think. Full name: Deborah Doherty (+1 if possible)

Thank you Gary Lloyd for the picture, that is me and my littles. And thank you Amanda for taking the time, the kids loved it. They had some they are still talking about it and have some questions and comments. Have sent you a message with those.

Hi Frankie, if you already have tickets you’ll be all set. Just make sure the name the tickets are in matches the ID of whomever is picking them up.

She’s just told me it’ll be a bit of a rush to get there (from Tipperary, 2 hours there and back) but she can try - are there by any chance any spots for Limerick instead? She will try to get to this one if not! Thank you so much. It is really appreciated. I’m away in Germany at the moment so trying to get her some emotional help in whatever form. 🖤
