HALLOCHEN

very quick one from the road from edinburgh-wedding back to london (it was amazing, i’ll try to post some photos).

me/some of the crew are looking for CRASH SPACE and things to DO in stuttgart !!!

i‘ve decided to reschedule some of my flights given the fact that my flight luck in that last week has been appalling (everything has been very tight and late) and i don’t want to risk flying on show days unless it’s absolutey necessary.

so i just decided to forgo dinner with ash and neil on sept 17 and fly into stuttgart instead, which means adding an extra hotel night which is goddamn expensive and also you know i hate staying in hotels unless i gotta. there’s also a couple of crew who would love to have a be done instead of having to sleep on the tour bus for a few days ...

1. is there anyone in stuttgart we can crash with?

if there is one empty house / place we could all crash...we need anywhere between 1-4 beds. we can hotel the rest, and we can split up and head to separate places, but that’s never fun.

the crew would be there sept til the show and if the joint is close close close to the venue, night of the show as well (sept 18th).

it needs to be pretty central and close enough to the venue (within a few miles...nothing super out of town) and our/my only requirements are wifi (a huge plus for work) and a decent nights sleep (no howling construction next door) because the run coming up is a brutal one. a real bed is key, floor crashing in someone’s kitchen on a tour like this one is not so ideal. this couch surfer is getting old. and i need enough privacy before and after the show that i can keep my head and voice together.

the crew member/s are arriving early the 16th.

ill be getting in LATE the night of the 17th!!!

WHAT YOU GOT?

just hit me in comments with the basic deal (no need to name the actual address, but maybe the distance to the venue and airport) and include your email or twitter handle so i can DM you.

if you’re not able to post your email i’ll message you via patreon.

we always hook up our crash hosts with merch and tickets and love - we will do whatever we can to show our gratitude.

OKAY NOW

2. IS THERE ANYTHING AWESOME we must see in stuttgart on the show day?? amazing coffee shops near the venue? i won’t have ash with me so kids stuff unecessary. life changing art shows up? TEACH US.

3. there are still tons of tickets for the show that night at theaterhaus in stuttgart. there are still tickets for ALL THE GERMAN DATES and GRAZ, luxembourg, antwerpen and paris!!

Stuttgart has a pretty (in the modern way) library!

Hi Amanda, a friend of mine has a house 15-20 minutes away from the venue. If you're interested you can DM me via Twitter @daliagrmbl. Old House with two Cats, two kitchen, two bathrooms and an agyptian exchange student.

I asked Evelyne and she invites you and/or your crew to stay in the house as long as it is needed. The place is in Stuttgart-Hofen and has 4 rooms with beds/sofa beds/mattresses you could use.

Hi Amanda, - very close to the location (in walking distance) you have the Cafe Bar GRUENEN (http://www.grnn.de/ ), a small hidden coffee place with a great "Mittagstisch" to get lunch - more central I can recommend the CAFE DA (http://cafeda.de/): great coffee, pastries, breakfast, lunch and if it's not raining you can sit enjoying a calm side street - the KUNSTMUSEUM (https://kunstmuseum-stuttgart.de/), directly at the Schlossplatz has interesting exhibitions and afterwards you can enjoy coffee & cake on the rooftop restaurant. PS: I would have loved to host you and the band in my apartment, but being in my 9. month pregnant I will be happy if I make it through the concert and doubt anyone would have a good night sleep if the kid decides to come early ;)

Hey Amanda, I have space for up to 7 people. :) Hit me up if no one is allergic to cats!

The Stuttgart Stadtmuseum is really cool and has interactive museum displays and English audio guide things (about 2-4 hours, depending on your lingering http://www.stadtpalais-stuttgart.de/) If you're willing to take a train places, get the Baden-Wuerttemberger Karte which is good for 24 hours for multiple lines and lets you go anywhere in the entire Staat of BW, which makes it easy to get to the Porsche museum (a 2-3 hour museum) and the Mercedes-Benz museum (an all-day affair, around 6-8 hours, really cool design). Depending on how much time you have, Wilhelma is beautiful (Art Nouvea + baroque architectural pieces + zoo + botanical garden), but it's definitely going to be a few hours out of your day. It's got a train stop, though, so not hard to get to. If you just want to visit a city for wandering, Esslingen am Neckar (also accessible by train, about a 45 minute ride, iirc) is beautiful - it retains most of its Fachwerkhäuser (the old German style houses). It's beautiful, well-preserved, and has a restaurant called "The Unicorn" (Der Einhorn) that has really good, seasonally influenced, traditional German food (and if you're there on Wednesday, I think that's when they have their farmer's market, with flowers and bread and fruits and veggies and wine). You should also check if there is a Besen open - essentially, a vineyard, that opens a restaurant in the front of its fields for a few weeks a year, serves food and wine, and you can buy bottles of wine that are delicious. Any local should be able to help you find if there's one open nearby. I recommend a Trollinger grape wine if you get the chance.

Hy Amanda, are you considering adding another show for Vienna? I saw you last time you were in Vienna, at the second show, it was amazing. So many things have happened since, abortion, marriage... Would have loved to see you love ❤️

I live 15 minutes away from the Theaterhaus by U-Bahn. I am currently splitting up from my (soon-to-be-ex-)husband and my appartment is ready to be filled with love again. I have 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a big dinning room, a balcony, 3 cats and booze.

I haven’t been to Stuttgart and I have no idea what can be done there. Another gave in Berlin or Munich, I know a couple of places. Good luck finding apartments.
