I've received a few notes on the latest video about the inaccuracy of my Tom Scott impression and that's fair. But you should know I went into a lot of trouble to get it as accurate as possible. In fact, I was coached by the man himself!

I thought just the Tom Scott impression alone was great. And then THIS comes out.

Another Pat Sharp reference!

hahahaha This is awesome! I got your impression, but I would've never imagined it was (not) endorsed by the Scott himself. So cool!

Beautiful! I thought your impression was excellent, and that's probably the problem! It's too subtle for people to immediately register who it is. Keep up the great work, Cap'n!

This is amazing. Well freakin' done.

did you guys really meet or was it just another illusion?

It's snippets like this that makes supporting your Patreon worthwhile.

I was not expecting this!

That's not really Tom Scott! I can tell from some of the pixels!

This is really good!

I believe it is Tom. I tried to spot the giveaways that Tom here is not actually with Alan, but I found nothing, eyes-to-eyes angle looks fine, shadows are fine and all that. Maybe it's just done really well, but it seems that they were physically together in that room.

Coming as a New Zealander here, it sounded australian to me

I couldn't be prouder when I tell people I'm the mother of your children. OK, OK, I'm a man, but it is true that I'm a patreon supporter, and that should count for something.

Spot on with the one-take celebration, tho. Gave me a good chuckle.

I'm one of those people who thought CD didn't have the accent down correctly: but that's probably because Tom is from the Midlands area of the UK like myself (in fact, a few years ago I moved to Mansfield where Tom is originally from), he was educated in Yorkshire and has a very very slight twang (I've got relatives there) and currently lives/works in London (where I worked for a few years) - so Tom's accent sounds very "normal/neutral" to me and hence just a bit of difference throws it off... I wish I could say *exactly* what was wrong with CDs version, but :(

I love how skeptical Captain D has made us towards YouTube videos. I'm still wondering whether Tom and Alan actually were together in the same room. It looks real, but Alan is a wizard.... 🤔
