I was just going to watch the normal episode and do the watch along later but now I have to see the whole movie again.

Waiting a month to watch Avengers is gonna be hard! But this was such a fun time. So happy you're enjoying this series so much! Loving the theories

Joe Blankenship

Red Skull took an earlier form of the super soldier serum and it burned off his skin as a side effect. If I'm not mistaken, that's why his face look like that.

That was great, thanks Ashleigh. You asked some great questions that may be answered, eventually. At your current pace you'll find out everything somewhere in 2023.

Robert Reichle

Hulk will probably always remain at the bottom of the list. The problem that movie has is that these movies just keep getting better and better. Loving it now at this point is a great sign because... it's just getting going. :) Buckle up.

I get lost sometimes trying to follow along when it's time for end credit scenes, so it was easy to tell Ashley watched the preview for Avengers scene, but I couldn't tell if she watched the other end credits scene. Have we told her that sometimes there are several extra scenes and that you really just have to watch all the way until there are literally zero seconds left of the movie to make sure you aren't missing anything?

Kevin Mowery

Also there on Disney+ is The Rocketeer, from 1991, from the same director, also set around the same time (in the 1930s). It's pretty good, and I'd recommend it. I was very disappointed that they didn't slip a little Rocketeer cameo in here somehow.

Can't wait until you see Guardians of the Galaxy

Stick with release order. Without having seen Thor first, you wouldn't have recognized the stuff about Odin and the tree symbol at the start.

JHB

Did you catch the Raiders of the Lost Ark reference? "And the Fuehrer digs for trinkets in the desert."

Awesome reaction Ash, had a great time! This, for me, is the first truely epic scale marvel movie. The first to have a shooting budget to afford a true cinematic storyline that spanned the globe, with sweeping vistas, on location sets, etc etc. It raised the bar by an order of magnitude matched only by Guardians and not really beaten until Infinity War.

Would it be possible to get a running time that the film is at in the future please?

Oouga

Ashley, you might have been told, but the Tesseract (Odin's Square) was shown in the end credit scene of Thor. And is not the same element Tony created. As a point of interest, spell check corrected me on how to spell Tesseract. I got it wrong. Go MCU for even invading the spell check!

Hi Ashleigh, I’ve been a fan for a while now, and today, took the heroic leap over the explosions, (see what I topically did there?), and landed (barely) on the Patreon side. I’m your newest Patreaudience. Glad to finally see full reactions. (I guess because we’re almost at month end, is why my payment was cancelled even though my card has lots of money still available. Thanks, Patreon designers for that. I tried to send a direct message, but I guess my payment won’t officially kick in until the 1st. Fantastic Captain America reaction! Anyhoo… I’d better hurry, or I’ll be late for your Iron Man and Thor full reactions…. Cheers

thats not a Raiders of the Lost Ark reference, Hitler ACTUALLY did that....

The element that Tony created has a similar power power as the tesseract that Howard studied for 40+ years. He was trying to recreate it and couldn't with his resources, but he "knew the recipe" so to speak.

Kade (Sydney, AU)

Tesseract is a real mathematical object. It is a 4-diemnsional cube. That's why it is in the spell check. 🙃

Tesseract is also great metal band if you're into that sort of thing ;)
