Nature's first green is gold...

Chazzie3679

Hey Ashleigh...is this the theatrical version or the director's cut? I'm having trouble keeping in sync after only a few minutes.

Andy H.

THAT'S why I didn't recognize a lot of the scenes! I kept thinking "How is it that I forgot all this?" I remember the original cut being a lot more sad too, for some reason.

David Patterson

Same sync issue for me. The song started earlier in her version.

Kenton Kruger

Had never sat and watched this whole movie before, it just never interested me. If nothing else, like you, this at least scratched a "must see" movie off my list.

Joe Blankenship

Yeah, this movie is not so great, but I loved the book back in school. This one needs to be remade and be more like the book.

David Patterson

Ashleigh has the 'Complete Novel' version.

Kristal Warner

There is a special extended edition with an additional thirty sum minutes of footage.

Moni Castaneda

Love you but I think I'm skipping this one...

Keepitcam

Had to watch the movie and read the book in school lol " stay gold Ponyboy" lol

Oouga

Two Bit (Micky Muse Shirt) was Emilio Estevez. Soda Pop was Rob Lowe. And Steve Randall (the best friend of Soda Pop) was Tom Cruise. It was his first role.

Oouga

Also, Tom Cruise deliberately chipped his teeth for the role because he felt it was more authentic. he later had his teeth fixed.

James Cain

Can we start watching good movies again?

Jill Peterson

False. They were damaged playing hockey. In fact, he was so insecure about it, he avoided photo shoots.

Jill Peterson

Emilio was 22 at filming. Patrick Swayze was 31 upon the film’s release.

Jill Peterson

This was Tom Cruise‘s third role. His first was a romance with Brook Shields called, Endless Love, and his second was Taps.

Ouch! 😂 I did like "The Producers" reaction. I'm not afraid to admit that. But this movie...No thanks.

RX2904

Yeah, the movies Ashleigh's been watching lately were not bad, but not exactly super entertaining either. Waiting for another BIG movie.

Kenton Kruger

I do find all of this amusing. So many "timeless classics", but when push comes to shove there's actually very few that have near universal acceptance of being great, and a lot of those she's done. Then, any time she does one of the bigger, popular films a lot of people on here pop off about how she's doing movies other reactors have already done. She really is in a no win in many respects. Oh, and add in the people on here constantly pushing their personal picks that were never popular, often for good reason. Edit to add a "what do I know?" here. Just went to look at her channel and some of the "Wtf?" picks are getting a ton of views, while good films are getting middling numbers.

Tyler Foster

While I do not think that reactors need to worry about what other reactors are doing, I can also see how every channel doing, say, Airplane! might result in fewer views for those videos across the board.
