Nothing to do with the movie but visiting Tennessee it’s beautiful up here

Tyler Foster

Free pizza guard is Lou Ferrigno, who played The Hulk on TV in the 1970s.

Tyler Foster

I don't like this one very much (I'm with the TikTokers), but the fact that you did only makes me think you'll like Thor and Captain America even more than I thought you were going to (and I already expected you would).

Joseph Ricks

It's going to be a while before you get to The Avengers, but I am already excited for the build

Seeing this movie literally over a decade later makes me kinda bummed we never got another Hulk movie There's so much you can do with this character, and they keep it to just "army chase, romance, monster fight". (To be fair, I did just finish reading Immortal Hulk series of comics, and that blew almost every other Hulk story out of the water).

The security guard who accepted the pizza is Lou Ferrigno. He was the Hulk on TV. I know I saw this movie when it first came out but I remembered absolutely nothing about it. That's the problem with a lot of these CGI driven movies. I've seen so many they just all blend together. I think it's good if Ashleigh does one MCU movie a month. That way she has a chance to absorb and think about it. It may take her two years to watch them all but it's taken 13 years to tell the story so far so that shouldn't be a big deal.

The reason you hear mixed things about The Hulk movie is probably because people are referencing the one with Eric Bana, which came out a few years before this one. Superhero movies are always hit or miss. The first two Batman movies with Micheal Keaton might be the best of the genre. Every Batman movie since, with the exception of Heath Ledger as the Joker, has been either bad or ridiculous. The first two Iron Man movies were great but the third one was terrible. If you go back to Tobey Maguires Spiderman, again, the first two were awesome and the third one sucked as did the one in 2012 with Andrew Garfield. I can't comment on anything after that because I got burnt out on Superhero movies by then and totally lost interest in watching them.

I never really liked the Hulk movies, but in the Avengers series, they did a really good job. The CGI was much better with the passage of time. Liv Tyler, the daughter of Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), was also famous as Arwen (Elf, daughter of Elrond) in the Lord of the Rings movies, and Bruce Willis' daughter in Armageddon.

Cristina Collins-Armstrong

The biggest problem with the two Hulk movies is that neither one really leads into the Avengers movie. The best Hulk in my opinion, Mark Ruffalo, does not show up until that film and the events in the two Hulk films are not mentioned. I really hope that the next film in your series is Captain America: The First Avenger. If you are watching in date order of when things happen in the films, this is the first as it takes place in WWII. Here is a link to the chart I used when I did a rewatch over the pandemic: https://www.reddit.com/r/Marvel/comments/edkxfj/how_long_would_it_take_to_watch_the_marvel_movies/

She's watching in telease order, making Ironman 2 next, then Thor, then CA:TFA.

Congratulations. You just watched the FIRST and ONLY Edward Norton Hulk movie. He’s really too good of an actor to play Bruce Banner in future Avengers movies. Not to say the movies aren’t worth while. They say he was too “difficult” to work with-which probably means he cost too much $$$. Maybe you can look at American History X sometime. A criminal redemption/ prison movie where the only black guy is not a sweet old grandpa man! I’m talking about Shawshank. As stated before, the part of Red was supposed to be an Irish guy. Or maybe check out Death to Smoochy. A mostly forgotten comedy with Robin Williams that came out after Fight Club. I like to think of that one as Tyler Durden’s return to good mental health! (Almost 😅)

Tyler Foster

I would go to bat for both Spider-Man 3 (overstuffed and a little sloppy but pretty good), and REALLY go to bat for Iron Man 3, which I think is hands down the best MCU movie, and one of the few that is well-written enough to hold up even outside of being a fun spectacle (which by the way, there's nothing wrong with that!).

Gio Vidrio

It’s been a hot min since I’ve revisited this movie. Most Marvel movies tbh. I love that Tony is recruiting Bruce Banner towards the end instead of Nick Fury who’s played by Sam Jackson. Hopefully you keep making them on different days instead of Fridays if we wanna keep the Marvel ball rolling. I’m glad you’re enjoying them. But yeah, as others might have said Ed Norton Hulk gets recast with Mark Ruffalo. Still a great choice but will throw you off a bit once you get to The Avengers.

I think she should do the FIRST MARVEL movie.....BLADE!

Howard the Duck is a Marvel comic book movie that came out before Blade. There were many Captain Americas and Spidermans before that too. Just to name a couple. Awful Punisher...

Anonymous

I meant the only good Marvel movie that came out first.

Vicky phillips

Pizza guy is lou ferrigno the original Incredible Hulk

Anonymous

edge tidbit: the bad hulk is called Abomination. The more you know🌟

Anonymous

Need Captain America, The First Avenger!!!!

HercEl

Bad Hulk is Abomination and Mr Blue would become a character known as The Leader, sadly Hulk is the only thing from this movie to go on into the MCU.

Anonymous

I’m glad you reacted to this film. There were a number of references to the Hulk TV Show from the 70’s. While I bet you didn’t know that was Lou Ferrigno, the original (and some would say the best) Hulk, played the security guard bribed by the pizza; he also provided the voice of the Hulk in the movie, when he says “Hulk Smash”. Hope you continue with the MCU, and I hope in your free time you watch the pilot episode of the Hulk TV Show of the 70’s.

James Falato

How does "Millennial Marvel Friday Festival" sound?!? And yes, I agree with your Reactions of "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk"... Entertaining, Exciting, and Energetic!!! NEXT!!!...

My apologies, for some reason I thought you were watching the older version...which sucks. Well done, you picked the right one. I was concerned you would watch the first one and be totally turned off to the Hulk. This one is pretty good. Glad you liked it. BTW, the guy who he gave the pizza to is Lou Ferrigno who played the original Hulk in the 1970s TV show. It was duel actors, Bill Bixby played Bruce Banner and Lou Ferrigno played the Hulk.

Anonymous

Also, I think you may have missed it since you're not familiar with the TV show but when he says, "don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." That is a reference to the show. Bill Bixby would say that in almost every episode.

I had a nightmare that Armageddon popped up as a MMM pick the other night :)

The cryogenics/liquid nitrogen thingie reminded me of a scary movie from 1981 called "The Entity" starring Barbara Hershey...might be worth a look at Hallobeans

Manuel Johnen

People love that movie and hail it as somewhat of a scary genre classic, I personally find it to be a total bore and quite lame... And don't apologize for nothing, I'm not one of those guys, you can bring up whatever movie you want... just don't let people blindly run into "terrible ghost rape movie" without telling them it's "terrible ghost rape movie"... :P edit: By the way, just to make myself clear, because English isn't my first language (hard to believe, I know... :P)... I have a problem with the "terrible" part, not with the "ghost rape" part. I'm sure somewhere out there is a great ghost rape movie... but "The Entity" sure as shit isn't it. "The Entity" is hot garbage... :)

Anonymous

OK gotcha it's all good :)

Manuel Johnen

"The Changeling" is a better movie quality-wise than "The Entity", though... I still prefer "Exorcist III" for my George C. Scott fix... now, THAT'S a great movie...
