All set for another X-Men adventure Nat 💛

Randee Carreno

I'm downloading this right now so that I can watch it later tonight. 😊 I've been enjoying the X-Men series. I think that "Logan" is the next one. And that was the other one that I've seen besides "Days of Future Past". Looking forward to watching this reaction this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

asia roberson

Did she see Deadpool 1 already?

Danishprince

I really disliked this one when watching it the first time so hopefully it can become enjoyable with your commentary!

ButtyOh

Ive always believed that everything after The last Stand (not including the Deadpool films because they dont count as Xmen movies) was terrible. Basically just a large pile of garbage So I'd given up by the time that this film came out but i decided to take this reaction as a chance to finally sit down and watch it Starting to remember why I'd stopped

Chief

Hey Nat - check out Noblechairs Icon - was a total game changer for me. Thought I might regret spending the money, but was worth every penny!

PickettsChargingPort

In my opinion it's the weakest of all the x-men movies, including Wolverine Origins and New Mutants. I haven't seen Dark Phoenix, though.

Simon Bauer

"wait both of them?!" lmao i actually laughed at that its so true hahaha

Anonymous

Welp I guess we have too….😆

Anonymous

Can’t wait for the Logan reaction, forget a great superhero film, just a great film period.

Adam Grunther

I’m so excited to see your reaction to Logan. It’s not just the best X-Men movie. It is the best Marvel movie of all time in my opinion.

Anonymous

This for me is at the very bottom of the list. I can’t even be critical, it’s just baaaaaaad.

Anonymous

Also just a tag to “can’t we have a nice moment” comment, that’s a bit of the issue I have with this and other Singer X Men films they’re all such downers.

Calo Grsf

Hi Nat, thanks for your reaction, once again you have managed to "redeem" a film (it still bad though) 😆, you were so funny all along 😄, it's a rare talent to give off so much positivity with a film like this hahaha Of course, you are always true to yourself, the tears will never leave you 😆 I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Thomas Malley

That was a fun reaction, and I got to enjoy Apocalypse a lot more than I did the first time watching, so thank you for that! :)

Anonymous

As an American you probably have a caffeine addiction, we all do.

Darryl Low

That was a really cool reaction Nat. Another epic story that was well executed. John Ottman's score is just so good. He also works as an editor, and has also directed. Your "Fluffy Chickens!" exclamation was a genuine Ted Lasso fizzy water moment, and your "Easy, breezy, beautiful. Cover Girl" line was just awesome 😂 The guy cast as Angel was a different actor, Ben Hardy, and you should recognise him as the guy across the street in the movie you had a hand in, The Voyeurs 😊 Thanks for an amazing video today Nat 💛

Jayson Phillips

Cant wait for next one... also don't forget about rise of the phoenix and New mutants!

Anonymous

My opinion of course, but i think you need to do X-men Dark Phoenix and then New Mutants, Deadpool 2, then do Logan. just to wrap up all the X-Men related movies. then i would move on to Spider Man, and maybe do some Fantastic Four, just to get you acquainted for Marvel Studios Fantastic Four down the line

Jason Gillman

Nobody has mentioned it yet, but I highly recommend checking out this deleted scene of them going to the mall. I understand why they cut it for pacing reasons, the movie was too long already, but it’s a really fun scene. Looking forward to Logan and presumably Spider-Man next week! https://youtu.be/w7rfP7dYEak

Baron Imhoof

The television show Apocalypse was watching with Storm was the 2nd episode of season 2 of the original Star Trek: "Who Mourns for Adonis?"

Anonymous

Ugh Apocalypse

Lee Gannon

Psylocke is indeed a telepath and telekinetic. The character previously appeared in X-Men the Last Stand. In the comics she is actually English.

Lee Gannon

The woman with Stan Lee in his cameo was his real.life wife Joan Lee a former English model.

Daniel Bastos

Oh my god, the next movie is Logan? I'll need some beer to watch along.

Philip

Thank you for another great reaction, Nat! Now that you know Magneto is Peter's father and that Peter is Wanda's twin brother, I am assuming you will make the connection that Magneto is also Wanda's father. With that being said, when WandaVision first aired, most of us comic book nerds kept theorizing that we would somehow see Magneto pop up in the series - especially after seeing who they used to recast Pietro.

Myles Away

The decade hoping in this series is so ridiculous and pointless. The only reason this movie is set in the 80s is because someone wanted it to be set in the 80s. It adds nothing from a story perspective. They haven't aged a day in 20 years? This can make sense for Mystique and Logan but for everyone else it is absurd. They could have kept the series set in the 70s and it'd be semi plausible. In Dark Phoenix they jump another decade and none of the young students introduced in this movie have aged either. It's just another terrible decision in a long list of terrible decisions.

Myles Away

I mean, Havok would be over 40 years old by this point. That's madness. The actor is like 25.

Chief

Also, note on the end credits scene (since I’m fairly sure the MCU will drop most/all of this and start over), Essex Corp was Essex Corporation - a company run by a villain genius Nathaniel Essex, who is genetically known as Mr. Sinister. The fact that they never got around to including him in the movies is a tragedy, and I believe they cast and even filmed scenes with Jon Hamm in the role for one film before cutting it. He’s an age-old mutant, born in Victorian England, and a long arch-enemy of the X-Men, and they wove his character in with the likes of Mengele and Rasputin in various storylines.

Kate Herzig

I actually like the majority of the X-Men films. I know people complain about continuity and ages and blah blah blah, but this comes before a time where there was an overseer of franchises like the MCU has in Kevin Fiege, but I just look at these films like comic books as opposed to perfectly continued stories. It's a problem I've had with the MCU having to be so interconnected. It's also just made the mass population expect all franchises to be that way and it can disappoint fans when I don't think all films in this genre have to be what the MCU is. It can hinder things as well as have great payoffs. There's pros and cons both ways. I just like to look at what the film I'm watching is giving me and I find the majority of these fun and entertaining and a bit more thought provoking than some of its counterparts. But that's what the X-Men should be doing. Now, I am excited to see what Feige does with them, but I won't lie, I really will miss McAvoy and Fassbender. They're outstanding in every film, no matter how you feel about it.

Joe Blankenship

This one has a lot of haters but I enjoy it. I can watch Jennifer Lawrence in anything and McAvoy and Fassbender are good. Sansa is a good Jean Grey. But I'm not a big fan of Apocalypse. His whole look and his demeanor. Nothing like the Apocalypse I knew from the saturday morning X-Men cartoon.

NotlobParrot

One more week until Logan! I can't believe we're finally here. Wow.

pedantech

The saddest part of this whole experience was realizing Natalie didn't share the same joy from the Knight Rider intro playing in the background of one of the scenes.

Opti_Frog

You can really tell Jennifer Lawrence was so done with X-Men by this point. Her acting is practially on auto-pilot all throughout the movie, and her full body make-up is used sparingly and is like nothing like it once was. 😅

Leaf on the Wind

As a factory worker, I can say that the least accurate part of this movie is that some other worker at that factory ratted him out. Mutant or not, you save a guy's life on the job (doesn't matter how you feel about either of them), you get a free pass for whatever the fuck you want.

Daniel Vezina

Funny thing, Kurt "NightCrawler" is actually the son of Mystique and Azezel. The Demon guy from first class.

Wu Sha Ling

Post credit scene is a reference to Nathaniel Essex, aka mr. Sinister. This is a dead end and merely an easter egg. The story would have involved century long manipulation, alternate futures and a whole bunch of Jean/Scott Summers family tree genetic meddling. Suffice to say, not very compelling movie material, tho it was fascinating in the comics.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

I still feel like someday we'll get the X-Men movie(s) that lives up to the legacy. That said, I actually enjoyed this one, it's not perfect by any measure but it had a few moments, parts that redeemed the whole, kinda. It was probably Nat's reaction too, she called it out on Bryan Singer's brand of cheese and I respect that. I think the struggle with the franchise is there are SO MANY great characters in the X-Men universe it's a real burden to find a way to utilize as many as the audience would like in a way that isn't ham handed, that's why I think it would be better as a show. And even though I was already a teenager when the animated series aired I would be lying if I said I didn't watch it if I happened to get home from school in time. That's why I tend to give these movies more leeway, it's a franchise that can be easily bogged down in so many tangents and so much detail, it's tough. I mean, for instance, although I love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine I have to admit there's still just a little part of me that wants to yell out, "he's supposed to be short!" In the comics he was short, stout, and hairy, with a surly attitude (they got that right I think), exactly like an actual wolverine, it's not a particularly large animal but pound for pound the most powerful and ferocious mammal there is, bears won't even fuck with wolverines lol. Anyway, I guess some of the original comic book creators' intent is bound to be lost in a cinematic market place, that said, loved this reaction.

Robert Reichle

Would be great for a movie series that's willing to actually take the time to build a real world and a timeline that makes sense. This one could never stick with anything for more than a couple of movies before blowing everything up. No patience at all in these movies.

Robert Reichle

They need a production team that has patience to work through a long term plan. They need to stick to just a few core characters for a while and forget the rest until it makes sense to bring more in. They need to actually allow the villains from the comics to be VILLAINS in the movies (I'm looking at you, Mystique!).

Mister Lou

LOGAN!! Can't Wait! Loved your reaction to The Wolverine and it's director James Mangold is back to bring us Logan! So, I'm just so hyped to revisit it with you!

Logan Kerlee

:) Really enjoyed watching this reaction! It was so much fun. I'm a big fan of the X-Men comics so this movie (like all of the others) bugged me quite a bit. While this one isn't as awful as some, I was sorely disappointed with how easily Apocalypse was handled. I strongly urge anyone that isn't familiar with the character to do a bit of independent research on him. After, you may enjoy this less but also you'll have a deeper understanding of the character(s) involved in this world. Growing up, I watched the X-Men cartoons EVERY Saturday morning, It was a ritual, more or less. Some of the best episodes in the series (while not accurate to the comics either) were the Apocalypse episodes. I truly enjoyed how gripping they felt and how much the X-Men team (and the whole world) struggled to defeat him. To be honest, that's what irked me most about this. Apocalypse was uber powerful. They showed a TINY bit of his strength off in this. The way they dealt with Archangel's story-line was mega dumb.. ugh. There's so much to bitch about.. I'll cut it short and just say that the movie was entertaining and very fun. It's a solid Summer movie - but that's it. It isn't one that's worth re-watching down the road. Glad you enjoyed it though! :D

Keith Jacobsen

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTHTjgSuJ4M There's the Pitch Meeting for Xmen Apocalypse, if you're interested, now that you've seen it. PS Don't know if it's been pointed out Nat, but on most (not all) of the Xmen films, when the 20th Century Fox logo fades out, the "X" in it fades out a split second later than the rest. This one included.

Richard Maurer

This is the second time I've watched this and can now narrow down my general dislike of this movie to two main problems, the terrible continuity and Apocalypse himself. Apocalypse is the worst problem, maybe because I'm a comic fan, as the comic version is much more intimidating both in size and presence. I just didn't buy into this version at all. I know some people don't like CGI characters, but some characters like Apocalypse need to be CGI. Just think about the Hulk and Thanos - can anyone really think they would been better as non-CGI characters?

PickettsChargingPort

Did they eventually confirm that? It was always hinted at that he was mystique's kid. The azezel angle must be new'ish. I mean 'new' as in since 1990 or so. Yeah, im out of the loop on my x-men books.

Thomas Malley

No one noticed, but you have a typo in the title of this post :) Sorry, my autism compels me to point it out, but I don't really care:) Even I didn't catch it despite having come back to this post about 8 times since you posted it.

Thomas Malley

I actually think that his motivation was pretty well established just from the first opening monologue. People with absolute power will think that they are meant to rule. It's not in particularly something you can relate to, but I can understand it.

Anonymous

yes "apocalpyse" is my favorite.

As somone who have this kind of job in europe i can say there is always somone who rats. And in comunism period of poland, ratting in foctories was something often happening. I dont mean everybody ratted but there was always someone who was eye and ear of menagment. Sorry for mistakes im not natvi english speaker :)

JarHead0351

Natalie, you got to set your mic lvl - most the time is fine and able to hear you along with my TV - but when you scream, people in the next state call to have me lower your sound -- lol - Hey love that you are into the movie like most of us are too and some catches you off gaurd (Priceless) - Priceless Reaction which is why I watch along with you

Rich Gunzz

I had an awesome time rewatching X-men apocalypse with you. You have an huge emotional impact on me when I’m watching these movies again. For example when you get all flustered and emotional during the movie and even begin to tears on your face. I makes me have the same reaction and I love it and I love you for it. When you finally watch “Logan” your gonna make me cry like a baby I know it

MakaPeji

I'm glad you enjoyed this movie as much as i did. I also love that these people in the comments are losing their minds over you liking it. lmao Don't skip any movies just because someone else didn't like it, you've proven time and again that you have enjoyed things most don't.

Connor Ellis

Banshee and Angel were captured and experimented on by Trask (Peter Dinklage).

Nat sees Magneto: He looks great Nat sees Magneto's family: Oh nooooo. They're all going to die :'(

glad im not the only one that absorbs her emotions when that happens too

Wolverine hasn’t met Jean or Scott yet. He hasn’t at this age in any timeline. He joins the X-men later in life and since Charles wasn’t there and he didn’t see Hank on top of all the trauma he’s suffering from mentally he is quite feral. Striker tracked him down (I assume since the ending of DoFP showed mystique saving wolverine disguised as Striker) and put in the adimantium anyways.

Anonymous

Not a "cute" chair but I recommend the WorkPro Quantum 9000 Series ergonomic chair. Not Herman Miller quality but close and for a fraction of the cost.

Edward Of DOOM

The Logan that met Jean and Scott early in the 70's was the consciousness from the future, when he returned to the future, the past-version of Logan returned, which is the version Stryker experimented on. "Weapon X" (Logan) was completely feral when released from Alkali Lake, and only because Jean gave him a few memories of his past was he able to regain his human side and not remain a feral killing machine. There is SO MANY continuity errors in the series, it's tough to iron them all out as the writers went along. so I commend them from at least addressing SOME of them. I found it sad that Wanda only made a cameo in Days of Future Past, and this is 10 years later and we don't get a teenage version of her. Also, Jean's original powers didn't include the Phoenix powers, but I feel they added it to foreshadow the next movie.

Edward Of DOOM

Personally, I feel that you should watch Dark Phoenix before Logan. Dark Phoenix takes place during an important part of the comic timeline, and DEFINITELY comes before Logan on the timeline, even if it was released in theaters after Logan. You'll understand when you watch Logan first and scratch your head after Dark Phoenix. Edit: I think you had a lot of moments I laughed harder at you than the movie, one of my favorites was "Wait... is this how he goes bald??" and "Oh! The single tear! *gushes*"

Jon Hoover

Is Parzival in the Oasis pretending he's in a XMen movie?

FatLittleButterfly

Yeah, days of future past is basically how they can reboot the series and make more movies that are different in the same time period

Thomas Richter

When Magneto shouts in the forest: "Is this what you want from me?!" He is actually shouting to the writers.

Edward Of DOOM

Would have been amazing if they had added a cameo of his version of Cyclops in RPO, wouldn't it?

You didn't catch Alex and Scott SUMMERS?

In the comics - Angel's wings were a lot worse off. https://cdn3.whatculture.com/images/2019/03/42067c5dcb2e92c4-600x338.jpg He was pinned to the wall in a sewer by some big harpoons.
