Happy Hump Day! Help me pick a smaller series of movies to dive into next week :)

Comments

Anonymous

Natalie it’s Spider-Man season. There’s no way anything that has to do with Spider-Man doesn’t win.

Anonymous

Its really unfortunate that Matrix: resurrections was as bad as it was, but Reloaded and Revolutions are good solid movies. (CGI is a little sus....but storywise still good)

Anonymous

So many great choices!

Louis Augeri

The Raimi movies are a must before you see No Way Home. They’ve got some of the greatest comic book villains ever to appear in film.

David Blake

I hope The Matrix wins! ❤️🙏

Darryl Low

I'll go with Spidey. As much as I want to see you watch the new Star Wars movies Nat, we don't need to start World War III over here on your Patreon 😋 And thanks for introducing me to the greeting Happy Hump Day 😊

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Natalie! 😊 The Raimi Spider-Man series definitely has my vote.

Daniel Casillas

You should watch both the Raimi trilogy and the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man films

Ross Stewart

Spider mans before far from home. It’s neeeeeeded

Anonymous

You should see The Amazing Spider-Man movies before No Way Home, they're not the best films but Andrew Garfield is amazing, and you'll get to learn the backstories of the villains

Anonymous

I am a huge spiderman fan hes my favorite and it is the year of spiderman so of course he gonna win but Id still like a reaction for the Star wars trilogy

Rey

Yea gotta go with spiderman for this, you know with no way home approaching your reaction and all

Jason Dolan

You also HAVE to watch Andrew Garfield's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN films so you know who Lizard and Electro are.

Anonymous

I love the Raimi series, but I voted for everything else, need more variety instead of superhero stuff every week

Anonymous

If you want to keep going with marvel, you should probably catch up on all the previous spiderman movies.

Anonymous

Raimi Spider-Man movies, followed by the Garfield Spider-Man movies before No Way Home.

Grigsy

Spiderman 3 dancing Toby.

G. T. Blackwell

You gotta do Spider-verse at some point!

Anonymous

All of these are worth checking out at some point, but it looks like there's a clear winner now, especially considering the new Spider Man movie is out!

Brandon Scott

I would vote for the Spider-Man movies a thousand times if Patreon would let me. I don’t even really like the Toby McGuire movie all that much but if you’re going to be watching No Way Home you need to watch those and the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man. So I’m all about it. Can’t wait!

Anonymous

You will want to go through the old Spiderman films. Tobey and Garfield...

noshanelle

hoping she watches all spider man movies (plus daredevil) before nwh!!

Danishprince

I would love to see your reaction to the new Star Wars Trilogy but now is not the time - It's Spider time <3

JayyDTR

The Raimi and Garfield movies are a must!

Mike LL

The only thing wrong with this poll is it should have listed the Raimi/Garfield Spider-Man movies

tezster

So happy when the polls actually reflect my personal preference, because it seldom happens!

Brian Leonard

Might as well watch all the spider-movies you haven't seen yet, including Venom 1 & 2.

Sean

We have to get through Tobey and Andrew's Spider-man films, even though the latter ones aren't amazing (Andrew did a good job though).

Joe Blankenship

The Raimi Spiderman movies are a lot of fun.

Anonymous

You absolutely need to watch the Raimi Spider-Man and the Mark Webb Amazing Spider-Man ones also if you plan on doing anything with No Way Home

Anonymous

Please don't yell at me if you've already done this, but what about the John Wick series?

Erik Stevenson

Hmmm, interesting poll choices! I'm going with Raimi Spider-Man series because I've been meaning to revisit them anyway since No Way Home came out.

Anonymous

I hope to see all of those here eventually, but the Spider-man trilogy (and after that the two Amazing Spider-man films) are kinda required for the new MCU Spider-man, so those feel most important right now :)

Inhuman Paradox

Raimi AND Webb Spider-Man films. They are necessary to understand No Way Home.

Tiago Borges

Spider-man is super hyped right now, so you don' t want to be left out! You should consider watching "Scott Pilgrim vs the World" in the future

Eik104

I didn't find resurrections that bad, but maybe because I expected so much worse. I think it sets up for some interesting next movies, hopefully

Anonymous

Yes, I agree with other people. If you intend on watching No Way Home, you need to watch these Spiderman movies plus the Andrew Garfield ones first so to better understand the multiverse thing they are starting.

NFXx

The Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy 100%. It’s absolutely necessary, mandatory to watch the trilogy and The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 after the trilogy, but also Venom and Venom Let There be Carnage as well before watching No Way Home. Otherwise you’ll be confused about 90% of the film. Also hope you watch Hawkeye before. Not to give away anything to big but there a connection to Hawkeye and Now Way Home.

Eik104

Hated all the new Star Wars, but it's been a while since I've seen them, so I'll give them a chance if they win. Maybe I'll stand corrected.

nataliegold

I would never yell at your Edward :) haha I have not seen it! It’s totally on my list

Anonymous

Love all the options. Still hoping for The Hobbit someday to complete the Middle Earth saga!

Anonymous

Has to be Spider-Man man and Amazing Spider-Man

Jason Gillman

What an incredibly difficult decision. Voted for Spider-Man but really hoping you do the others eventually too, especially The Matrix

Al Baughman

I'd vote for watching Spider-man trilogy and the 2 Amazing Spider-man movies before the new one, No Way Home comes to video probably late Feb. We'll all have more fun that way!

Ahmad Zain

Also please watch The Amazing Spider-man movies 1& 2 & watch venom and venom let there be carnage before you see spider-man no way home

Lisa Tosti

Definitely Spider-Man and hoping that you add the Amazing Spider-Man movies as well! I haven't watched them all in so long and it will be so fun rewatching them all, especially now that you have watched Into the Spiderverse and before you watch No Way Home

Anonymous

Honestly, these are all great choices, but I'm really looking forward to the day you watch the new Star Wars sequel trilogy! There is a lot of hate towards those films, but I think they're pretty great, especially The Last Jedi, which is amazing! Hope you enjoy them! = )

loopkill

No Way Home prereqs are where it's at!

Kalle-Tapani Isomaa

Raimi Spider-Man movies absolutely. I can't tell you why it is important but it is to watch them at this point.

Ryan

Oh gotta go with Spidey all the way. In fact I say drop everything else your doing, bang out Logan and DP2 real quick and then focus on Spiderman going forward.

Eric Janssen

You've already seen Civil War, so the secret's out 🤫, but now that Sony is working their Venom-verse into the MCU, you might need, yes, that stupid third movie as well.

Saifu

Should definitely watch Tobey and Andrew's Spidey movies before No Way Home digital release drops next month. For Star Wars, I don't recommend watching the sequel trilogy anytime soon, at least there's really no rush for it. The main Star Wars stories that they are focusing on telling right now are all revolving around the prequel and original trilogy era. I would suggest giving Solo: A Star Wars Story a shot though.

Eric Janssen

The low vote for the Hobbit Trilogy is encouraging--With education and exposure, we can help end "Naive LOTR fans putting too much trust in Peter Jackson and excited to watch the Hobbit Trilogy afterwards, or even before" in our lifetime. Lord, what a trio of dumpster fires.

Anonymous

Dammit. I've been asking for the Star Wars new trilogy ever since I signed up for this patreon a year ago and it was good to finally see it on a pol...until I saw that the Raimi trilogy was up against it; and I was like FUCK - Raimi will win because of the whole world being so attached to that trilogy. The way I see it, EVERY reactioner covers the Raimi trilogy, and no one ever covers the Star Wars sequel trilogy; it would be nice to get some content you don't see anywhere else. I've seen all the movies in question, so for me it isn't so much about what I care to re-watch. I am curious as all Hell of what NAT would think of the new trilogy of Star Wars films, because the Raimi trilogy universally tends to receive the SAME reactions and feedback from everyone, whereas the Star Wars sequels tend to be a more MIXED bag of opinions. I would rather hear Nat's take on something less widely received, personally. But that's just me.

Inhuman Paradox

The reason the Raimi trilogy is winning is relevancy. The Sequel Trilogy isn't as relevant to anything new in pop culture right now while the Raimi trilogy is.

Jomero

The LOTR movies is what people like to think their D&D campaign is like. The Hobbit movies is what their campaign is actually like. I liked The Hobbit movies and I'm not ashamed.

swoop_13-37

Just watched Deadpool...... Seems like you didn't get the Ferris buellers day off reference at the end.... Have you never seen it before?

Anonymous

Woo! Been wanting you to start the Raimi trilogy, especially since you’re going through the X-Men movies. I’d love to see the Star Wars sequel trilogy after though!

Anonymous

The Raimi movies are only tolerable. The villains are good but I am not a fan of Tobey Maguire or Kirsten Dunst.

Anonymous

You are closing in on Spiderman No Way Home. If you haven't watched the original 3 Spider man movies and The Amazing Spider-Man films, I heavily suggest you get it done before hand.

Ilsuk Yang

Raimi trilogy for sure, and the Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2. As much as I like the other movies on this list, the Raimi trilogy is the best overall trilogy on the list (I would say this regardless of the "No Way Home" hype). I think you should do all of these at some point, but there's no rush. I also agree with the person who suggested the John Wick trilogy

Richard Maurer

I wouldn't watch if you did the Sequel Trilogy - they're worse than GoT season 8, imo. The difference between LotR and The Hobbit is that Peter Jackson was mostly left alone on LotR, while on The Hobbit the studio was heavily involved, and it shows. There are some good parts, most notably the Smaug segment, but overall the artistry of LotR is replaced with corparate influence - which is never good. The Matrix should have ended with the first movie. That leaves Raimi Spiderman - the first two are quite good, the third not so much (except if you like cringe -then "Bully Maguire" is for you). You should watch the two Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies also.

Jayson Phillips

I know people hate hobbit and new star wars.. but... You need to watch them all so that you can form your own opinion.

JarHead0351

you got some heavy hitters choices, but they don't stand against The Hobbit, which is a must if you enjoyed the LOTR and any of the rest on the list would be a good 2nd place -- glad it isn't my reaction choice, keep in mind you will never please everyone so also put your choice into the picking

Myles Away

The only good content on here is the Raimi Spider-Man series and even that one is mixed. In my opinion, the rest are all terrible but I would still be interested in seeing your reaction because it'd be interesting to see what you think. But I think seeing Spider-man sooner rather than later is in your best movie viewing experience interests.

Anonymous

Booo Spiderman👎🏿 trilogy. Been waiting on Star Wars since u finished the 1st 6. Now we gotta wait even longer. Wtf🙄

Anonymous

Agree , new star wars to see what you think is more fun than Spider-Man , not sure what people are doing , dang democracy haha

Anonymous

I can already see that Spider-man is going to win this handedly. Well deserved. The fact that she only recognized Green Goblin in her trailer review shows that for her to fully enjoy, and not be confused by No Way Home when she watches it. She must see the Raimi trilogy, and the Amazing Spider-man duo movies. I've been waiting for her to do the sequel trilogies too, but we all already know she is going to watch No Way Home whenever it arrives on a streaming platform. So if she's going to be the least bit confused. She needs to see these five movies. Be patient. She'll get to these other series eventually. And to Natalie. I noticed several commenters saying you have to watch the two Venom movies as well. You can if you want. They won't really fill any blanks. In fact Ted Lasso will have prepared you more for anything that anyone thinks Venom will prepare you. You can watch them whenever you want.

Anonymous

That is Sam Raimi all the way back when movies have no woke agenda and message

Inverse Voltage

I honestly don't think the Third "Star Wars" trilogy should even be considered the same series. I didn't even bother watching the last movie after the second one was such bull***t. But the Raimi Series is great. The Amzing Spider-man series was really good as well. I've heard the Spiderman series described in this way. Tobey Maguire was the best Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield was the best Spider-man, and Tom Holland is pretty damn good at both of them.

Anonymous

The Sam Rami Spiderman trilogy and then the Andrew Garfield ones should definitely be watched before you watch Spiderman No Way Home

JayF

Raimi SM 1 and 2 are the only movies worth watching on this poll IMO.

Kathryn Harvey

This is not an equally matched competition, lol.

RandomAndysChannel

Can't wait for you to watch all 3 of the raimi/tobey spiderman trilogy!!! WHOOO!!!!

Arioch

None of the above are worth watching. :D

Julian Calzada

Raimi please! If only you could also fit in the Garfields, that would be epic prep for No Way Home :D

Jack Mellor

Gotta be done. Best to re-jog your memory on the Spidey films that came before. I did for like the billionth time before I saw NWH 😂 made it all the more fun!

NotlobParrot

Don't worry, everyone. There's no way she isn't seeing the huge numbers for the Raimi Trilogy in the vote, and the 347 comments begging her to watch them before NWH. 😃🤓

YodatheHobbit

LOL at getting the person who you think is the best Peter Parker's name wrong. SO INFORMED!

Ben Gilshenan

the eternals also just got to disney plus so that should be on the horizon soon too

warcrimes

Jesus the Raimi Spiderman stuff did NOT age well. I'm trying to hold out for Logan but except for Dune I haven't watched a reaction in a few months.

Anonymous

Hell yeah , the Raimi trilogy are classics . Such good movies, you're gonna love them

Ryan Whelan

Seen a lot of superhero films would be good to see you watch the matrix

Anonymous

have you ever thought about the Snyder's JusticeLeague trilogy? MoS, BvS utimate cut, JL snyder cut )

Anonymous

Yes!!! Raimi Spiderman trilogy for the W

Anonymous

I most amazed there's (as of posting) 433 nutballs out there that torture themselves watching the sequel trilogy more than once.

Rich Gunzz

I could watch The Force Awakens with you no problem but watching the 2 movies that come after is like getting my teeth drilled with no anesthesia

JayF

These films are only related by genre so they aren't a true trilogy but I'd love to see you react to Tombstone, Unforgiven, and True Grit (the 2010 remake).

Warren Van Wyck

I’d rather watch Solo: A Star Wars Story with you before the sequel trilogy. Just throwing that idea out there.

Nicholas Hentges

The sequel trilogy was great until rise of Skywalker, it is truly just terrible and makes watching the whole trilogy pretty pointless.

Adam Stanley

Rami spiderman then the amazing spiderman and hopefully by then far from home will be on a streaming service.

Ellis Hugh

The Last Jedi was an absolute abomination and actually made watching the entire FRANCHISE pretty pointless. The Rise of Skywalker was just a lame, awkward attempt to retcon as much of the damage done by Rian and the Last Jedi as they could. The entire trilogy never should have been made, honestly - or at least, not made by the same individuals for the same reasons. Let someone who actually 1) loves Star Wars and 2) respects the fans be the ones to make these movies.

Sammy Rebbo

Voted for Star Wars and The Hobbit but there's pretty much no way the Raimi Spider-Man movies are going to lose this one.

Aaron Chandler

As someone who learned the hard way that novocain doesn't work for me, I can confirm this is a true statement.

Eric Janssen

There are very few such things as a “Franchise-Killer”, that are so bad as to singlehandedly sour the taste of a franchise for good, to the point that the audience hopes it never comes back: Lost World:Jurassic Park 2…Batman & Robin…Marvel’s Black Widow…The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies….Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindewald… And The Last Jedi killed the biggest franchise of them all. 😞

Anonymous

I've seen quite a few comments from people who have strong negative opinions on the Star Wars sequels, and while I understand where they come from I really disagree with them. I've been a fan of Star Wars for basically my whole life, loved the OT, the prequels, the various shows both animated and now live action, AND the sequels too. Star Wars has always tried new things and expanded the kind of stories that it tells. It's inevitable that some people will dislike newer stories and they often have the loudest opinions but I wanted to add a voice of positivity to contrast. I love these movies. The Last Jedi may be my favourite of the Saga, and so I would be super interested in seeing whether you enjoy them!

Anonymous

Voted for Raimi Spider-man. We're winning this one.

Keith Jacobsen

Nat, I'm sure others have already mentioned it, but Spider-man 3 is...pretty rough, but who knows, you may like it. It's good for a laugh anyways.

Edward Of DOOM

If you haven't watched the latest SM movie, please take time out to watch the originals. The Multiverse is depending on you. With great viewing comes great responsibility.

YannickWega

It's the birthplace of one of the greatest meme's in history! Bully Maguire xD

Nicholas Sulikowski

If you do the rest of The Matrix series, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure to watch The Animatrix before Reloaded. It too is on HBO Max. It fleshes out a number of themes and concepts, and also includes a really well done prequel that explains the humans vs. machines war and how humanity lost and how The Matrix was born. There's also a CGI animated short that leads right into Reloaded in the piece. Highly recommended and frankly very essential. Mandatory, I would say. Note: The HBO Max version seems to have restructured The Animatrix in chronological order. And so The Animatrix title card ends up appearing towards the end of the film awkwardly, right before the last chronological short "Final Flight of the Osiris". It's still very good, though.

The Raimi and Amazing Spider-Man films are essential

clint brunke

Should get into the show "the expanse" 6 seasons of amazing sci-fi and realistic science .

Anonymous

I would love to see you reacting to the other Marvel Disney+ shows like Hawkeye and TFATWS, but between all of this stuff, it definitely has to be 7,8 and 9 of Star Wars. Like, I love the Raimi Spidey movies, I grew up on them, but for me, it's more of a nostalgia thing. I can see how the new Star Wars trilogy can be interesting to look at :)

Anonymous

The spider man movies are overrated

Josie Lawson

I get watching the rain I Spider-Man movie but want to see your reaction to the new Star Wars movies so much

clint brunke

I want both the new star wars and the first two Spiderman. Skip the third lol

Anonymous

I sort of wish the JJ Abrams movies had not have been made..... And any Matrix sequels (after seeing them)
