Hope we get more Ted Lasso soon!

Which subtitles are you using? The English or English (CC)? The English (CC) aren't as accurate as the English subtitles.

I love this episode because nobody ever expects them to vote to end the game. We get a much better insight into some of our main characters to understand their motivations better. It makes the series feel fuller and raises the stakes even more.

FYI, in the scene where Sang-Woo's in the bathtub, he was trying to commit suicide. Lighting a charcoal briquette in an enclosed space is a common form of suicide in South Korea. It's the equivalent of having your car running in a closed garage.

I certainly wasn't expecting them to leave the island in the 2nd episode, and then for them to want to risk everything to go back. One guy went through the wringer, literally. Well, his hand did. Youch! Really excited to see what happens in the next round. Thanks again for watching this show Nat, and for a great reaction today 💛

Futures are a contract/agreement that you will purchase an asset at a agreed upon price and date. You can use them to speculate on if an asset will become more or less valuable depending on what is happening in the market you are operating in. It’s very easy to make or lose a whole lot of money very quickly when dealing with futures. It’s also very easy to do something illegal; you get insider information that something will happen that will increase or decrease the value of an asset, so you can bet against or for whatever you think will happen. It’s much more like gambling than most other market activities.

So looking forward to seeing your thoughts on this as the series progresses. It feels like this was only ever made with a S. Korean audience in mind, and just happened to be the right thing at the right time to explode into becoming this international hit. Hope you enjoy it the way we have, if enjoy is even the right word! I've just finished watching Ted Lasso too, which was inspired by your videos here, so thank you for that. :) If you're going to do a poll for the next series at some point soon, one thing your channel is missing is puppets! The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is without doubt one of the overall best things I've seen in years. If you include it, hopefully others feel the same.

Another awesome reaction! And look at you and Sae-byeok (the girl) sharing a brain already. Badass ladies unite!

Every reactor I watch makes the same assumption that only one person may win the game. But at no time did any of the people in masks ever say that only one person could win. At least not that I ever noticed. If I missed it, please let me know.

Cory Silver

She's aware she's using the wrong ones, she filmed 1 and 2 back to back, should be on the better subs for 3 on.

I love how we all have heads full of trivia from watching all those "Things you missed" videos. My favorite bit of trivia is the joke we missed. So for the "Futures" thing. We knew Sang-Woo lost his money in trading stock futures that went down, but the word also means "gifts" in Korean. So there's confusion, that Sang-Woo lost millions of won buying gifts for people. Just a little wordplay joke that went over our heads.

Dry ramen is yummy! As a kid I grew up eating a lot of it. You just have to find the right flavor and you're good to go. :) For a minute I was going to comment asking why you didn't do your intro but then I remembered that you filmed this alongside the previous video, both episodes one and two together. Glad that I remembered! haha, still though I'd of liked to hear your thoughts on the episode upon completing it. That's the real reason why I subscribe to you on here, on Patreon. I enjoy hearing your thoughts/opinions and seeing how you express them about each individual show/movie. I really enjoyed the episode. It showed the player's lives and let us know that they really don't have much to live for in their lives and how having all of that money would make such a difference! This episode was also pretty darn light on the violence, be prepared for more gruesome stuff later.

Obsolyeet

It's interesting that this episode's title of "Hell" turns out to be their private lives and not the island they voluntarily return to.

Would love to try dry ramen but, as I get older, I worry about cracking the old teeth on super textured (but yummy) foods like candy, popcorn, dry ramen or even hard mixed nuts.

Jomero

I've never eaten dried ramen. But I do have a ritual when I (used to, Keto now) eat it. While it was in the package and still dry, I'd mash and pound it until the noodles were essentially just small pieces and chunks. Then I'd cook it. Don't know why I prefer it that way over the long noodles, but I do.

Thomas Yanez

It's worse than that. I agree, every reactor does seem to make that same assumption, despite the fact that during the scene where the guy is telling them about the games, he actually says "Those who win all six games will get a handsome cash prize." The dialogue is practically stating directly that there can be multiple winners. Or, at least heavily implying it. "Those who win all six games" could still refer to just a single person if there is a last-man-standing game at the end. But, the implication is that multiple can win, and the players often speak of their future in terms of 'when we win the money'. At this point in the show, that's all the information we have to work wtih.

Joe Blankenship

I've sampled a few bites of dry ramen before. It's okay. Crunchy and cracker like. But I usually eat ramen, cooked, drain out all the water, and squirt sriracha on it.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

She must be watching with a VPN or something, seems like the translations in the captions are slightly different and so are the Netflix intros. I watched this the first time with the dubbing, which I thought wasn't so bad, but then again I used to watch a lot of Kung Fu movies when I was a kid lol

Dooly

Eating ramen dry is rather common.

Ansan is a light industrial city located near Seoul, where a lot of immigrant workers from less developed countries live and work. They usually need an employment permit to stay, which requires a guarantee from their employers. Just like Ali's boss, some employers exploit the system. Without employer's guarantee, those immigrant workers will lose their employment permit and become illegal immigrants. So the employer can do whatever they want. Not every employers are evil, but there are good amount of racist-penny pinching-blood sucking-cold hearted employers. Like Ali's boss. From Seoul to Ansan, it takes around an hour and half by bus/subway. By walk, it'll takes around 7~8 hour. And from the way Ali saying he can walk, we can assume that it's not the first time Ali walked way home just to save some money.

It was nice to rewatch this one, I haven't seen it since it first came out. Can't wait for the "Days Of Future Past" reaction

In Korean culture it's taboo to have any kind of relationship with someone of the opposite sex when you're in romantic relationship. Being alone with an ex, I'm sure, is a big no-no.
