GLORIOUS PURPOSE! ...wait... Not yet.

Darryl Low

Thanks for another Marvel reaction on my birthday Nat. Looking forward to watching it later on this evening 💛

If anyone needs help syncing the reaction to the episode on Disney+ you can try out this browser extension that I developed: https://www.casper.live/ You can pause and jump around in the reaction and everything is kept in sync. My recommended "offset" for this reaction is 2.7.

Nat I know you haven't read the comics/watched the cartoons but things like the mantle of captain America being passed down after a hero dies/retires happens ALOT

Simon Bauer

Tyler! Filming! lolllll might wanna get a little sign on the door

Anonymous

Poor Tyler. lol

Ian Forbes

You got pizza without Tyler?!? For shame! 😉😆. Not sure if you caught the line about the people coming to the airport to stop Karli being “the Power Broker’s men”. Just so any future mention of the Power Broker has more context for you. And the actor playing John Walker is Wyatt Russell (yes, Kurt’s son).

Calo Grsf

Thanks Nat for your great reaction! 😄 It's so nice to see you enjoying the show, and the look on your face at the end is just great, when you realize who it is haha (I can't wait for the next reactions haha) And don't worry about the interruption, pizza is the most important thing in life, you should have joined Tyler! 😆🍕😋 I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Aaron Lovik

So, the actor for Budget Cap is the son of Kurt Russell, our very own Ego. Bucky is James Buchanan Barnes. And the main theme throughout the show is what it takes to be Captain America, also how easy it is to fall short. My own random notes while watching lol.

Anonymous

Yep, Zemo is back (from Civil War). He's a highlight of the show IMO.

Randee Carreno

Happy Marvel Tuesday, Natalie! 😊 This is one of my favorite episodes. The actor that plays John Walker, the new Captain America, is Kurt Russell's son Wyatt. He does a great job with this role. One of my favorite moments in this episode is when Sam & Bucky have their joint therapy session. I think that I read in an interview that the moment during that scene where Sam and Bucky were trying to figure out how to sit during the staring exercise was improvised by Anthony Mackie & Sebastian Stan. LOL! I had read up on the character of Isiah Bradley after this episode originally came out. I knew that he was from the comics. And his story in the comics is pretty much the same as in the show. And he was the first black Captain America while Steve was in the ice in the comics. Actually, Zemo was in the 3rd Captain America movie, "Captain America: Civil War". He was the one that killed the Wakandan king T'Chaka(T'Challa's father), and framed Bucky for it. Zemo is one of the best parts of this show. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Please never question the importance of timing for pizza.

john collins

PIZZA NOT URGENT???? I'm on Tylers side lol

Ilsuk Yang

Good on you for recognizing Zemo (although that was the third Captain America movie, not the second)! For someone who's only seen the MCU once, you're quite good at recognizing characters/actors you've only seen in one (or two) MCU movies!

Mitchell Scott

YOU GOT PIZZA WITHOUT HIM??

Lee Gannon

The music the band was playing near the beginning was Star -Spangled Man from the first Captain America film when Steve was on tour.

MakaPeji

I knew you would love this show, to hell with everyone who said to skip it. The new cap sounds like a good guy, some might even say a hero. He is a highly decorated member of the military and already fights for good. He doesn't like the spotlight or having to show off, he just wants to do the job. I don't get why people just automatically talk trash about him. Loved your reaction, stay blessed :)

Brandon

When life happens while you're filming a reaction. Don't sweat it.😆 I really dig this series despite some flaws. They were forced to make story changes in editing because it was written before the pandemic... and it was about a pandemic. Those vaccines the Flag Smashers had in those trucks are some of the leftover stuff from that part of the story. I just finished film school so I'm weirdly obsessed with post production and editorial issues that take place behind the scenes.

Ian

Happy birthday buddy 🎉🎊🥳🎁🍺🎂

Ian

Fun reaction Nat those two sure have good banter it's great they make you laugh, me too 😄 buckys real name is James Buchanan Barnes 👍 pizza is definitely important if its the right pizza 🍕 😋 have a slice for me 🙂 thanks for the marvel content this week thrones tomorrow and I can't wait for that episode it's going to be great 💛

Travis

I’m not sure if you missed it from the first episode but they tried to bring in Falcon to replace Steve as the next Captain America but he turned them down. That’s why they had the whole scene of him donating the shield.

Joe Blankenship

Speaking of pizza, you need to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The live action movie from 1990.

Kathryn Harvey

To answer your question, Walker's actor is Wyatt Russell (Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn's son) and he's very, very, very talented.

Myles Away

People, as in the large masses, are easily pleased. They want continuity. They don't care that he isn't Steve Rogers. They are cheering for the costume. They're football fans essentially. They rooting for a uniform and colours more than a person/team.

It Hurt A Lot

We're all with Tyler on this one. You gotta get it before it's gone

Darryl Low

This was certainly a great episode with a fine line in banter between the 2 leads. Some good action scenes too. Thanks for your video today Nat. Really enjoyed your reaction, and enjoyed both your boys causing mayhem with their offscreen antics 😄

TYLER I'M FILMING!!! All spouses/SO's can relate :D

This_Jedi_crafts

Don't be "cross with" Tyler - you guys (at least from your Insta stories and pics) are a great looking couple. Forgive the "slave to the pizza!!!" ;D ;D ;D

chicks dig me

Anyone know where to get these vids outside of Disney?

Allan Rumberger

So much so that the rarely-used term "mantle" is basically every-day vocabulary in superhero comics. I'm actually not sure I've seen or heard it used in any other context.

Allan Rumberger

It's not legally available anywhere outside of Disney+. I would assume they'll have a physical media release eventually.

"I RECOGNIZE THAT GUY FROM TH TH FH DH BH BBH DH DH CAPTAIN AMERICA THE 2nD MOVIE" i died laughing that reaction was so good

Erik Stevenson

I could be wrong, but I don't think there's ever an actual indication that they tried to get Falcon to replace Steve as Captain America; he wasn't what they were looking for.

Erik Stevenson

Great reaction Nat! There are some incredible moments in this show, this episode made me pretty stoked to revisit them.

Kevin Bartelen

Well... you whistle better than I can at least.

Jon Hoover

Did Tyler get pizza for all of us??? It's not nice to not get snacks for the whole class.

Chelsea

I personally dislike Walker because he's all ego. He is absolutely arrogant and jist because he's a good soldier doesn't mean he is a good person. In this episode he was trying to order Bucky and Sam around, calling Bucky an "asset" (which rubs me wrong because that's how Hydra referred to him), and denigrating them to sidekicks when he called them "Cap's Wingmen." Walker has to earn respect and trust and he thinks that because he has the shield that he's entitled to all that. No one followed Steve because he was Captain America, they followed him because he was Steve Rogers. And Walker paid no mind to really listen to Bucky and Sam, of he took 2 seconds to really understand the attitude Bucky was giving him, he might have realized that this is so hard for Bucky, considering Steve was like family to him. But Walker doesn't care. That's why everyone is so hard on him, he comes up on the scene and just order two guys who literally saved the universe. Like no dude, show some respect. Especially to Bucky who literally helped Steve become the Cap everyone respected ...by being there for Steve before the war and staying with him after being a POW and being tortured. I have no respect or tolerance for Walker. #NotMyCap

Misty Crom

The creators, in the making of (Assembled on Disney+) said that they were aiming, tonally/comedy-wise for Lethal Weapon. I'd say they hit the mark.

Brian Jones

Wait, wait wait.......WTF Nat.... You got pizza without him?? :)

Anonymous

15 seconds into the episode "Oh it's this prick". No joke, I laughed so loud at that i scared my dog. Thanks for that. Haha

Yani Dodge

This wasn't my favorite series the first time I watched it but I'm really enjoying watching them with you! Can't wait for the next ones, stay golden! :)

Dani

Can't believe she didn't recognize Zemo straight away lol. Great reaction tho.

Anonymous

I don’t know… pizza is pretty urgent.

Ortizmo2000

Pizza is a food group, FYI. Its OWN food group. Good lord, woman.

Connor Ellis

oof. 3rd Cap Film, Civil War.

Misty Crom

I did love the "He's from the other movie!"-esque reaction to seeing Zemo. There'll be a few other faces you'll recognise too. But don't worry, it'll be super easy; barely an inconvenience.

Anonymous

Go easy on Tyler. Lol

Doug Watson

Since Wyatt is Russel's son does that mean that Walker and Star Lord are brothers?

Garrick Smalley

"Maybe this guy will be alright." Yep all will be fine.

SmokeAndACoffee

Absolutely love the pizza interruption moment! xD

Anonymous

John Walker is played by Wyatt Russell, son of Kurt Russell, who played Ego in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.

Kathryn Harvey

with the two of them you kind of have to assume they improv like 90% of the scenes they're in.

Anonymous

Absolutely loving your reactions to this show so far! Disney does a really great job at making Walker an unlikeable character, though I've seen a lot of disappointing reactions where there is straight up hate for him. I've been enjoying getting to see you discussing the grey between the black and white, and I'm really hoping you keep that up through to the end of the series, even when they might make that difficult.

Anonymous

James Buchanan Barnes; Is Bucky's full name.

Anonymous

In Tyler's defense, pizza is important 🤘🤣

Michael G. Munz

A pizza is never early. Nor is it late. It arrives precisely when the cosmos means it to.
