Happy westeros Wednesday Nat / everyone been excited for this episode from the moment you started season 6 can't wait to see the look on your face plus Ian mcshane is great love him in American gods and ofcourse John wick so I'm just going to get right into it 💛oh hey koda 🐶always great to see him 🙂

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Natalie! 😊 I'm getting this downloaded right now so that I can watch it later tonight. I can't believe that we're winding down S6 already. It's been a really good season so far. Looking forward to watching this reaction this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Natalie, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd love a time stamp for the actual HBO static intro start, I own the episodes so mine don't have the recaps :) I know not many episodes have scenes before the intro so this one is kind of the exception but just a thought! Thank you, I'm excited for another great reaction!

Stannis staying still last season was trash. Just lazy D&D shit man it's frustrating. They didn't understand his character at all.

Anonymous

They were killed just because of their religion. Plain and simple. They may have raided the settlement in horses, killed everyone, picked up the few valuable resources they had and leave. That's why you only get 1 scream from the start of the raid. It could have lasted a few minutes so Sandor didn't have enough time to get there.

Darryl Low

Loved how you were so surprised, that you missed your starting cue Maestro Nat 😄 and it was great to see and hear Koda back again. Thanks for a great reaction today Nat 💛

The brotherhood are half cool and half religious fanatics. My guess is they probably took issue with a community of followers of the Seven building a sept and living nearby. Funny story about Ian McShane (he plays the septon who saved the Hound). He accidentally spoiled that the Hound was going to come back during a press event and many fans got mad at him, to which he responded “I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think get a f***ing life. It’s only tits and dragons.” What a legend!

Brandon

So speechless at the start. 😆 I think the Riverrun siege story is a perfect example of how they didn't just abandon the books later on. They make changes but it's the same basic premise. You get to read their thoughts, so you learn Jaime grew up admiring the Blackfish and other knights in the way young boys grow up watching pro athletes today. Now, he's stuck dealing with a man he respects that has no respect for him.

NotlobParrot

(Still managing to properly conduct while dumbstruck by The Hound) 👏👏👏

Tranquil_Gnome

I forgot this episode was in this season. Loved the reaction. The special guest priest is Ian McShane. He did the voice of Ti Lung, the bad guy, in Kung Fu Panda. Such a good a good scene between the Queen of Thorns, Margaery, and the Nun. Then the Queen of Thorns and Cersei. And Bronn! And Lady Mormont!!! Jon, next time listen to Sansa! This is one of my favorite episode for season six. And Yara just told Theon "get busy living or get busy dying." Who knew she was a Shawshank fan.

Thomas Yanez

Stannis stayed at or near The Wall for most of a full book and part of another. That wasn't D&D.

Aaron Lovik

I'm guessing because of the Hounds limp and how far away he was chopping wood, he wasn't able to make it back to camp in time.

Thomas Yanez

I think it was more likely that he missed most of the raid while chopping wood, since he only heard the noise when he stopped get something to drink.

couldn't agree more, especially where that storyline is leading up to in the books...

Kenton Kruger

The return of The Hound was the first huge crappy fan service to my mind. As much as I enjoyed the character bringing him back seemed hollow. At least with Jon there was a story behind it, and having him die and come back forwarded the plot, allowing him to leave the night's watch without breaking his vows, etc.

Dante

I agree bringing him back was definitely fan servicy, but they did intentionally never show him die on-screen. The whole re-introduction arc with the religious people was fine not great but I enjoyed where they took his character from here and I think it was mostly done well through the rest of the series so I'm actually glad they did it.

Calo Grsf

Thank you Nat for your reaction! 😄 Your intro was magical, you were so confused 😆 and you finally met Lady Mormont haha Great reaction, now the Hound is back! I was so happy the first time I saw this episode 😆 But I really liked how you feel about Theon, despite his actions you have empathy for him, you have a big heart 💛I really can't wait for the next reactions! And finally Koda is back! He's so cuuute haha I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Brian Jones

That man is a legend. He certified that with Deadwood. Quite possibly the best written show as far as dialogue on TV. :)

Owen James McBrearty

The Riverrun arc really highlights how much Jaime has changed. Watch how he tries to take Riverrun. Completely different from the Jaime who ran Ned Stark down on the street sof Kings Landing.

MakaPeji

Loved the reaction. A note on the fast traveling. In past seasons it took a long time to get places, they said it took months to get from Kingslanding to Winterfell. The time it took Jon and Sansa to travel to the different houses is how much time has past in this one episode. It may seem like teleporting but its really been a month or two. I know people get shitty about the teleporting. Stay blessed :)

Jai Nelson

I just wanted to tell you to pay attention to the score at the beginning of 6x10. It’s an amazing piece of music, and utilizes piano for the first time in the show.

Ilsuk Yang

Ah, yes! You've finally seen the fierce Lady Lyanna Mormont! On another note, I see that you've also noticed how fast people are getting from one place to another. This is a result of Benniof and Weiss running out of source material and not knowing what to do. This is part of what I mean by season 6 being part great scenes and part inconsistent and bad writing. It is what it is, but it's still mostly enjoyable at this point. Unfortunately, you're almost at season 7 and 8 (which I consider one season since they're both shortened seasons) where the inconsistencies start overtaking the series. Oh, there's still good parts to it, but it's not the same as the first four/five seasons.

Laura Thornley

This episode gives me hope that the Gravedigger theory is correct in the books.

Joe Blankenship

Ah, I knew when that cold open hit, we were in for a surprise. The Hound’s still got more asses to kick.

Andrew Clifton

Yea it's not a big deal. They don't have to show every single trip lol. You also have to realize that time jumps around in this show and not everything you see is happening simultaneously.

Anonymous

go fuck yourself. maybe you're too fucking stupid to understand this complicated of a show or something but stop tryna have her read some bullshit negative comment about the entire season that she hasn't even finished watching yet. what are you fucking SLOW? and yes, people like you make me mad af

Anonymous

"The Lord of Light isn't done with you yet."

Al Baughman

any reaction with Koda get 2 thumbs up from me!

Ellis Hugh

I think this was the first cold open of the entire series. Oh, and mother-fucking Lyanna Mormont!!! Just wait... The members of the Brotherhood were rogue and definitely bad people... but they justified killing those those people and taking their belongings because, according to the Lord of Light, they were infidels and blasphemers.

Tadpoleaxe

3 cold openings.

Marty McGee

I've remarked on the whole time thing before where characters seem to jump instantaneously across the map. I get that we don't need to see them traveling from place to place. What is becoming increasingly jarring is that in one storyline, it may take place over a couple of days or even hours (the Hound, Arya, King's Landing). Whereas in the same episode another storyline takes place over weeks or months (Jon and Sansa). There's no consistent basis for time so it's more confusing to track. This has always been present in the show, but earlier seasons did a better job of blending it all together. It is becoming even less consistent now. It feels like a cheat or a plot device. I do like that they brought the Hound back even if it is a bit far-fetched. I really enjoy what they do with him from here on out. Oh and Lyanna Mormont is a freaking boss!!

Great reaction Nat. I get the frustration with the time jumps bit this happens a lot in this show bc it takes months to travel anywhere. They often skip the journey part. You also have to realize that there are time jumps and everything isn't happening simultaneously. Can't wait to watch the rest of this season with you.

A Vicarious View

When it comes to time scales and rapid travel times, this is nothing new to the series or the books. Just look at the very first episode of the first season: Jon Arryn dies in kings landing, they have a funeral, and then the whole royal court packs up and travels an entire Month to get to Winterfell in less than half the episode. They spend the second episode traveling an entire month back to King's Landing. Another example is Dany. She is married in the first episode and is noticeably pregnant by episode 3 which usually happens early in the 2nd trimester(4-6 months). She is then nearly ready to pop by episode 9. Tyrion has been spanning 2 different continents! Jon and Sansa are just zig-zagging among some smaller houses of the North to gain men on the way to Winterfell. The North is very large but it's not as far as heading to King's Landing so it's not too strange to fit several locations into this episode. It's probably only been a few weeks for them. Maybe a month? Nothing of note is happening on the road between them so why include it? And just because someone is in the same place for an entire season doesn't mean it's only been a short time. It can take weeks between raven messages but characters get them within minutes in the show. Try to be understanding of these time jumps. They have been happening this whole time and will continue to happen moving forward. I'd say each season averages about a year. Season 1 was the last year of a 10 year summer, Autumn has lasted about 5 years, and Winter is Coming!

I swear, Ned and Cat didn't care about Rickon as much as Natalie does.

Dante

My favorite score in the show until 8x3

Anonymous

LOL. When I saw the scene with the Hound start I said, "She's going to miss the opening credits queue." :)

Robb Hollen

Same. I skip the intro and pause right after the episode director fades out, then you can do quick pauses on either side to get synced. Seems to work pretty well.

Gwenhwyfar Aine

Now that you've caught up to the end of the season, I just noticed. I think Cercei was finally willing to work with the Tyrell's to help get rid of the Sparrows. But when The Queen of Thorns was so harsh, she just then decided to get rid of them all in one fell swoop. The look in her face was like "fine, burn them all"

Gwenhwyfar Aine

It would make more sense if a Lord of Light priestess had saved Arya. I think they went overboard with the stab wounds.

Guns

her little, i dont understand how this and how that, how is it this and how they did that..... is actually starting to extremely annoy me. JUST ENJOY THE SHOW jesus christ

Joshua Sutton

I disagree I believe and actually, i would bet on it that Rob Stark's Wife (Telsa) got stabbed more It beginning to sound like People are trying to find fault on everything if you are so good why don't you direct a TV program and see how long you last Hmm

Jake H

I am so confused, let me see if I've got this right; When Gilly and Sam gently make love, you are repulsed, but when Yara sucks an enslaved whores tits you are amused because, oh look happy lesbian love out in the open? You are a very strange person, probably not one I would ever want to hang out with given the choice.
