Season 5 is good but season 6 is probably one of my favourites

Happy Tuesday, Natalie! 😊 Downloading this right now to watch later tonight. I can't believe that we're almost halfway through S5. This has been a really good season so far. I'm looking forward to watching this reaction this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Ian

Happy thrones Tuesday Nat and all yesterday was a lovely surprise it really was 😉 onwards with season 5 we go looking forward to this got My snacks got my drink let's get started 💛

The first time I saw this and Melisandre says "You know nothing Jon Snow" my jaw dropped. I still get shivers when it happens.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Yeah Sansa and the Boltons are at Winterfell, if you notice in that episode everyone around them was busy making repairs. Oh but the crypts are a dead giveaway by now. The hairball in the throat sound whenever Baelish shows up 😆 They say snake tastes like chicken, bet it's great in a taco. Well it's not just about Oberyn, the Dornish are like the Northerners, fiercely proud, and they feel even less culturally connected to the rest of Westeros, has to do with their history. For one their ancestry is somewhat different, they're descended from Rhoynars (Rob's wife Talissa was a Rhoynar), from Essos, which is why they have similar features to people from Essos, and Dorne was never defeated by the Targaryeans, they became the seventh kingdom after a hundred year guerilla war and by truce, not conquest. That's why the Martell words are "Unbowed, unbent, unbroken," and why their rulers are called princes, not lords. Barristan the Bold went out like a boss, love that actor, he's grandpa Joe in Derry Girls. You'll know what we meant about the dark turn... I guess it's not that surprising it's just, when I saw it (it's not just one thing) I was saying to myself, was that really necessary?

Thanks Nat, I loved this new nice reaction! 😁 "Rrrrr", "What do you want b****", ""Don't f*** her Jon!" so lovely but so awesome and funny from you 🤣, always you react pefectly haha What more could we want? 😆 Seriously, why does it go by so fast? 😭 I am literally starving for your reactions 😆, I can't wait the next episode haha! I hope you're fine, take care, be save and stay golden! 💛

Now that's a cliff hanger! Jaime's duel was tense because the other guy had the high ground, but he found a way to defeat him. A sword in the hand, is worth 2 in the bush 😄 Thanks for a fine video today Nat 💛

lol, your intro conversation is essentially 10,000 reddit threads that we all toiled through and debated to the ends of the earth for years while waiting for these episodes to come out in real time. This season has some great character combos. Jorah + Tyrion is great, and Jamie + Bron is great.

You probably worked it out by the crypts but they defs are in Winterfell. Plus Stannis mentioning that Roose Bolton is there as well. Also really enjoyed getting back into WandaVision with you. Your commentary on the way the show was filmed showing the difference between a multicam sitcom and single cam drama was pretty interesting. Keep it up, season 5 gets better and better.

I used to only look forward to the weekend and dreaded whenever the weekdays came around, but now I'm excited for the weekdays cuz of your reactions haha

Kevin Anand

The Dorne plot in the show is so weird. In the books, the dornish love Myrcella. They don't want to kill her, they literally want to crown her queen.

Paul Gibbons

Nat's so over Baelish isn't she.

I guess this is a good time to put together the information that you've gotten about the Tourny at Harrenhall because it really is a big part of how everything got started. This all occurred about 17 years ago, just before Robert's Rebellion. Below is the story that everyone in the show knows, but there are a lot of questions that we don't know. People from all Seven Kingdoms were there for the biggest tourney ever. The entire Stark family was there, including Lyanna Stark, who was betrothed to Lord Robert Baratheon. Lyanna was as headstrong, brave, and "unladylike" as Arya. She was an excellent rider, talented with the bow and lance, and quite beautiful with black hair. A teenage Littlefinger was there as well. Prince Rhaegar competed, and even though King Aerys was so fearful that everyone was out to get him, he attended. During the opening ceremonies, Jaime Lannister was admitted to the Kingsguard, but the King made him return to King's Landing immediately instead of competing. During the feast, Prince Rhaegar sang, and the Stark brothers teased Lyanna who appeared to cry at his song. Early on, some young knights roughed up Meera Reed's father, Howland Reed, due to his shortness. Lyanna let him sit with them to view the tourney. During the tourney, a mystery knight, the Knight of the Laughing Tree (who did not take off his helm) appeared in the joust and defeated them. This mystery knight demanded that their lord punish them for Howland's bad treatment, then the mystery knight disappeared, never to be seen again. Mad King Aerys thought that the mystery knight was another enemy, and demanded that Prince Rhaegar find him, but all he found was a shield with a laughing tree sigel on it. In the end, Prince Rhegar won, the prize being the opportunity to name a woman the Queen of Love and Beauty. He rode past his own wife, Elia of Dorne and laid the crown of blue winter roses on Lyanna's lap. A few days later, the eldest Stark, Brandon Stark was told that Lyanna had been abducted by Prince Rhaegar and several men. Brandon was on his way to Riverrun to marry his betrothed, Catelyn Tully, but he rode instead to Kings Landing and shouted for Rhaegar to come out to die, not knowing that he was not there. King Aerys arrested him and demanded that his father come to answer for his crime of plotting the prince's murder. Lord Rickard Stark, along with a host of 200 men rode to King's Landing. None would ever return North. Lord Stark was burned alive, and Brandon was strangled to death. The Mad King sent a raven to Lord Jon Arryn who was training Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon and demanded that he turn them over to him. Lord Arryn refused and started Robert's Rebellion.

They carved the seven pointed star on their foreheads in honor of the seven gods that most of Westeros worships expect in the people of the North who worship the "old" gods and pray before the white trees with the faces. You can see the seven pointed star in the background of many shots around their churches. The "Seven" who really are seven aspects of one god are the Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, and the Stranger (death). Bran is under the roots of one of those white face-trees, aka weirwood trees, studying with the Three-Eyed Raven and the Children of the Forest. Finally, Arya is at the House of Black and White, a temple to the god of death, the many faced god. They say it has many faces as every culture has a god of death. In the House, there are many statues of the various gods. People go there mainly to die or end their suffering. All are welcome. Valar Morghulis. The Faceless men run the House and help all those who come regardless of culture or station in life. Valar Dohaeris.

Great as always

Barriston was done dirty by the writers.

This was one of the few episodes i wished Joffrey was still alive. Confronting Joff on the the steps of the sept would have meant the end of the Faithful militant. (or King Robert for all it matters)

Myles Away

Say what you will about Joffrey .... he would not have let the Sparrows get away with arresting Loras.

Obsolyeet

Guys, please be careful here in the comments. Just stick to the current or previous episodes for the sake of everyone's enjoyment with the reactions. No one has blatantly given out spoilers lately, but will keep dropping hints, and winks and nods about what is around the corner. The problem with trying to tiptoe the line of what is acceptable or not (and this will sound rude but), is that some people are more clever than others. And they require fewer dots to connect the dots. Just please let the reactions and the comments happen naturally. Some people are probably watching this with Natalie for the first time. I always found it counterproductive to hint at spoilers if the goal is to have someone love the show as much as you (we) do. (These comments aren't directed at the people above. I just felt it was a good time to throw this out there.) Thank you.

Myles Away

Also, what I love about this show is how people react differently to characters. I love Melisandre and would 100% be in the Lord of Light cult.

Jill Finlayson

True! Especially after Loras helped save them all from Stannis at the end of season 2, how quickly Cersai seems to forget!

Bryce Hatley

Ser Barristan the Bold, stripped of his honor in King's Landing by the undermining hand of Cersei - mocked/laughed at on his way out. Vowing himself as a knight, stating he will die as a knight; that he did, with the utmost honor and bad-assery.

Ethan Plumer

I totally agree. Also, taking the implicit to the explicit, Nat is one of those who only requires a few dots.

Lock_Down

Hard home will be next week 😭

WackySwacky

The Dornish storyline in the show really has no relation to the Dornish storyline in the books. They are completely different. Also, Barristan never dies in the books.

Sour

Lmao Nat your face when Mel says “you know nothing Jon Snow” was the best.

Al Baughman

I don't think Dany got her moneys worth out of the Unsullied if they can be so easily beaten by some street thugs

Joe Blankenship

Yeah, super creepy when the Red Woman turned around and basically said Igrytte's catchphrase.

WackySwacky

He had the most useless death in the show. The showrunners literally just killed him off because they didn't like the actor and couldn't be bothered to adapt the character's story from the books.

For the watch

Daniel Vezina

Look up the tourney of Harrenhal, really whorth knowing

Daniel Vezina

No Bran and Rickon this season, not really a spoiler, everybody who watch the show back then knew we wouldn't see them until season 6

Michael G. Munz

Osha is busy ensuring proper work safety conditions for the people of the North.

Anonymous

All of King’s Landing would have been able to hear King Robert bellowing as he stomped down the street with his hammer

Jomero

No Bran and Rickon. And Gendry is still out there row-row-rowing his boat too.

Gryff

Ahh yes S4E5 Let the bad writing and slow spiraling death of the show begin. Characters start being dumb, forgetting things they've done. Changing how they behave from last season. Entirely missing characters.

darby72

Just a quick question for Nat: How many babies are acceptable to be killed and eaten by the dragons while Dany is trying to train them? 1? 5? 50?

Henri

Considering her dragon went months and months with only one incident of attacking a human, i would bet that the number before being fully 'trained' (as much as you can train a dragon) would probably be in the single digits, maybe low double digits, which as a proportion of the millions of people under her rule doesn't seem that horrific. Sure it's sad but thats no reason to punish her dragons just for living their lives. And also let's remember that these are DRAGONS not golden retrievers; unless you want to just lock them in a vault to wither and die (which for a flying creature is especially cruel), there are gonna be accidents.

chicks dig me

220, 221, whatever it takes.

Nettles

I wonder what side the Starks in the crypts would be on?
