I know this was posted over 2 years ago, so I suspect no one will see this. In the motel scene Bale went full Patrick Bateman., I wonder if this was intentional?

Ryan

I saw your comment, got no answers for you tho.

Kevin Anand

I'm so excited to watch this tonight!

Jeff Smith

Awesome! Watching this one tonight! Thanks Nat!!

Anonymous

Please watch wandavision 🙏🏻❤🙌🏼 first 2 episodes are shorts, like 20 minutes, something like that. And the rest 35, 40 minutes... Pleaseeee

Anonymous

Was not expecting this; very nice

Anonymous

So excited to watch this trilogy along with you!

Anonymous

Good stuff Natalie. This is a good movie. If you’re going to continue with the superhero movies, have you seen the original Superman with Christopher Reeve (and it’s sequel)? Still the best - and the FIRST - superhero movie.

Anonymous

Hopefully DC starts getting some love

Ian

Saving this til tomorrow after my 2nd jab just incase I end up feeling rubbish as always thankyou Nat for a wonderful week of reactions have a great weekend and stay golden 💛

Randee Carreno

Happy Friday, Natalie! 😊 I'm downloading this movie reaction to watch tonight. This one will be a re-watch for me. However, it's been awhile since I've seen it. I remember most of the cast. The other two I've only seen bits and pieces of. I'm really looking forward to watching this trilogy with you. And I can't wait to re-watch this reaction this evening. Have a great day! 😊 Stay Golden! 💛

Anonymous

Really looking forward to the moment when Batman saves Joffrey Baratheon. Her reaction is gonna be priceless :D

Anonymous

Any excuse to watch this film again I'll happily take!

Danishprince

A shame DC doesn't have as many solid movies as Marvel. So much potential for great stories to be told but the ball just got dropped most of the time

Aaron Chandler

Can't wait to be done with work so that I can grab a drink (a strong one), grab a snack, and get into this movie.

Dooly

No its not. There’s Batman: That Movie with Adam West that came out a decade earlier or Flash Gordon or many other superhero serials that came out in the 30s to 50s.

Jomero

"I admit to having seen one of these..." Me: "Oh no. Please don't say Dark Knight. Please don't say Dark Knight." "It was the third one." Me, while waving a hand at my computer screen: "Psssssh. You saw the worst and most forgettable one. You're completely fine."

Joe Blankenship

Hatwoman is back to watch Batman!

Salmonero

Holy hell! In just a few weeks, you've become one of my favorite Patreons.. Been so fun rewatching GoT again.. Loved the Marvel journey and I'm so hyped for the Batman Trilogy!! Everything is super easy to sync up too! Not to mention, I've paid double the $ before.. for far less content! Hope everybody has a great weekend ✌

Axl Jones

lets goooooooooooooo

Jenny Tolls

I actually can’t believe you’ve never seen any of the Dark Knight lol that trilogy was a cultural phenomenon

Luis Torrefranca

Hey, cool stuff on jab #2. Hope you feel better soon. I was dragging for a couple days both times.

Inhuman Paradox

You know a trilogy's great when you can call TDKRises, a pretty good film, the "worst" one.

Tay Schumaker

You already called out my biggest criticism about this trilogy (which I love). Nolan really isn’t very good at directing action. Which is weird since he does so many action movies.

Ben Wheeler

I don't know if you recognize him (I'm writing this during his parents' funeral) but you've seen the chairman of the Wayne board in Blade Runner--he's Roy Batty! Christopher Nolan does like to use actors multiple times. R'as al Ghul (Ken Watanabe) was also in Inception as Saito, Tom Hardy (Bane) was Eames, Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy) was Robert Fisher, Michael Cane as Leo DiCaprio's father in law, Marion Cotilliard (Talia al Ghul) as Mal

Ilsuk Yang

That kid is indeed the actor who plays Joffrey

Darryl Low

It's a week for everyone getting their 2nd jab. I'm getting mine on Sunday night. Slightly apprehensive about it. Hope you are feeling better Nat and over the worst. Not seen this movie for a good while and really enjoyed watching along with you. It's definitely a well made movie with a lot of good performances, and the pulsing score is really great. Thanks for today's video, and all your work this week Nat. And your chosen thumbnail today definitely makes me smile. Have an awesome weekend 💛

Luis Torrefranca

Gary Oldman (Commissioner Gordon) is amazing. Chameleon with the different roles he takes on. The Professional, Harry Potter, Dracula, Book of Eli, Lost in Space, etc. So cool.

Christopher Boscarino

You should watch "The Prestige" if you haven't seen it- another Chris Nolan movie with almost all of the same actors from this trilogy and Inception, plus Hugh Jackman. It's really good.

Anonymous

How dare he take you to the third film in a great trilogy. I hope you dumped him for that! ;)

Scott Greene

Hands down, my favorite of all comic book-derived movies. I read Batman comics as a kid, and saw the TV show. I went to each of the four movies that came out between 1989 and 1997. Some, I liked. But this was the Batman movie I'd been waiting for all my life, without realizing it. A Batman movie that was about Bruce Wayne first and foremost.

Anonymous

I always love revisiting "Batman Begins." "The Dark Knight" gets all the shine, and deservingly so. But "Batman Begins" was a great movie in its own right, that finally placed Batman front-and-centre in his own movie, and set the template for the trilogy. While the next two films have more memorable villains, Batman is still at the centre, and has a legitimate character arc through the 3 movies. Can't wait to see you and everyone else react/revisit this great iteration of the character.

Calo Grsf

Thank you Nat for this perfect reaction 😄 ! A perfect mix between your absolutely magical laughter/smiles and the tears that are impossible to keep away from you haha I love this movie, with a great cast (Gary Oldman is one of my favorites) And yes, King Joffrey was there haha, and your comment about Lucius made me laugh out loud 😆 I'm excited as hell for the second movie, I already know in advance that your reaction will be magical haha, but you should know there are several versions of the Joker, Ledger's Joker and Phoenix's Joker are not the same I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Anonymous

"Begins" was kind of his first foray into that. His direction of action in this movie was a definite criticism at the time. However, as the trilogy goes on, you'll see that the way he directs the action evolves. Much less cutting, and letting the performers/stunt guys do their thing without losing a sense of the choreography.

Patrick Egan

I know a lot of people consider The Dark Knight to be the best of the trilogy, but I still prefer Batman Begins. The way it's all woven around the theme of fear was so expertly done. I also prefer this version of the Batsuit compared to the other two movies. This movie was kind of the beginning of "Liam Neeson is a badass action star", a few years later he'd do the first Taken movie. Yes, Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in TDK is amazing, I can't wait to see your reaction to it :)

My_Cousin_Mose

I know they are popular around here but I'm NOT a marvel guy at all. Its not that I don't like superheroes it's that they are just not my brand of comedy and are overall too light. This is my kind of superhero movie. The third may have some flaws but I'm a fan of this entire trilogy.

Tristan Ryan Cox

Awesome can't wait to watch your reaction to The Dark Knight trilogy. It is gonna be a journey.

LudicDave

Bateman Begins.

Anonymous

Anyone else shocked about how little Natalie knew about the character of Batman? For years I've always thought regardless of whether you've seen a Batman movie or not the characters back story is so culturally imbedded through osmosis that it is impossible to not know. I was legit shocked lol. Perhaps my major fandom of the character has inflated my expectations a little.

Anonymous

So glad you enjoyed this movie! You’re in for a heck of a ride. Regarding casting, one thing to warn you about in the next movie so you don’t get confused is that Rachel was recast. Katie Holmes didn’t want to return, so they tapped Maggie Gyllenhaal to play the role instead.

Anonymous

Ugh Dude, Spoiler on Marion Cottillard, her name in the film was Miranda Tate.

Darryl Low

Nat was able to sing the Batman theme tune, what more do you need! lol

Anonymous

It's a bit surreal to see someone discovering elements of Batman for the first time. Very fun!

DarkJokester

That was an amazing reaction to one my favorite movies next to The Dark Knight. A first time reaction to a good movie is an incredible thing to behold and the next movie is even better than this one... can't hardly wait :D

Anonymous

It was nice watching this movie with you. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Lee Gannon

There was a animated anthology called Batman Gotham Knight set between the first two films. It stars Kevin Conroy who many consider to be the voice of Batman.

Danishprince

Despite you feeling under the weather and feeling unfocused it was still an incredible reaction <3

Ortizmo2000

And thus begins an awwwwwwwwwwesome cinematic journey. I love this series so much.

Petteri Ahlberg

Once again, really awesome reaction! Thank you so much :)

Vidcutter

I lost it when Nat said she hadn't seen the Dark Knight -- what I would give to be able to experience it for the first time all over again. Watching it with Nat is gonna be closest thing and I'm here for it

Anonymous

Batman Begins is definitely less unique today. But when it got released, it really revolutionized the genre. Still my favorite superhero movie, despite this

Robert Haynes

This was awesome. If you are ever looking for a great Gary Oldman movie, Bram Stoker's Dracula would be a ton of fun to watch. One of my favorites. Also, you should watch Big Trouble in Little China some time. It's silly and fun and pulpy!

Thomas Malley

As always I tend to understand and get the plot and all the emotional entanglements and meanings MUCH better after having watched along with you. Your ongoing commentary is uplifting, inspiring, informative, funny and just downright charming. Thank you for providing a good beginning to my weekend. Looking forward to the next alFred Friday.

YYZHawk

It is impossible to understate how EXCITED we all are for you to watch The Dark Knight

Mike LL

Another great reaction by Nat. I've never liked the first 45 minutes of this movie, the story is so disjointed, but the movie really is very good when Bruce becomes Batman. The middle act of this trilogy stands head and shoulders above the beginning and the ending that is worth while to see the whole thing. The musical score of this movie really stands out, it is the best thing about it. On to the much much better second chapter.

This_Jedi_crafts

I think this set of movies did so well because it took on such a dark tone and tried to base it (somewhat) in "reality" (if that's entirely possible). But it was a huge relief from all the iterations of the franchise prior to Chris Nolan taking it on. As always - so fun to see the movie through the eyes of someone else. Great reaction and hoping your symptoms dissipate quickly. I had no major aches or pains but was fatigued for a couple of days (and just slept like a bear).

Matthew Periolat

I know you’re not going to listen to me, but you were absolutely fine. And frankly, aches and pains a small price to pay to be safe. Isn’t this movie FUN? You can see where the template for realistic portrayals of superheroes that they came back to for the first Iron Man was really started by Nolan. And I’m constantly delighted by how much you enjoy Gary Oldman as he is a favorite of mine among modern actors. I’d recommend more, but don’t want to spoil when he will show up again! And yes, Ken Watanabi was in Inception so some elements of Chris Nolan’s troop is here. Perhaps more to come. 😁 And I know EVERYONE will comment on it, but I was just sitting here waiting for Batman to meet Joffrey. Such a shame, Batman could have solved so many problems for Westeros YEARS ago. Oh and everything you have heard about Dark Knight? It’s absolutely true. And I cannot wait. Still Golden.

Alex B

Omg not knowing Batman’s parents origin on crime alley blew my mind, glad to hear you partially knew the story, thought everyone had heard it 100 times by now lmao

Opti_Frog

Hey look! Taserface! 😆 I know most people are obsessed with The Dark Knight, but Begins is my favourite Batman film.

Anonymous

You don't need to apologize for being out of it after your second covid shot. I felt like I had the flue the entire day after my second. Didn't help that I had covid for the first time 91 days after I had the first shot(They dont't let you you get the vaccine if it's been 90 days since you've been diagnosed with covid 19) Enjoyed this as I have with most reactions. It's like watching it for the first time with a friend who hasn't seen it

Misty Crom

Fantastic reaction, and even though Amazon's version was desynching a little, was still great to re-watch. Such an amazing cast, and love the lines, the little bits of humour. Also, if you'd maybe be interested to watch something very different with Heath Ledger, I'd very, very much recommend A Knight's Tale. Might be a few more faces there you'll recognise too. Is also a great movie for when you want something more upbeat/fun.

Joe Blankenship

You’re not wrong about Gary Oldman. He looks like a completely different person from movie to movie. And don’t worry about being achy and foggy. If you hadn’t said anything, we might not have even noticed. I got my first shot yesterday. My arm is a bit sore, but not too bad. I also tried willing myself not to have side effects. Anyway, you’re in for a treat on the next one. Heath Ledger is amazing as the Joker. I remember when I heard about him being cast, I wasn’t sure it was a good choice. I liked him in A Knight’s Tale and 10 Things I Hate About You, but couldn’t picture him as the Joker. By the way, A Knight’s Tale would be a good movie to react to. A big chunk of the cast is people from movies and shows you’ve watched with us.

Basit

I got pizza for this!

Michael Labs

The symptoms you were describing didn't really affect your performance to a great extent that I noticed. I hope things go the same way it did after my first shot; fine in about 24 hours. I'm very much looking forward to your introduction to the Joker in the next movie. Also; probably got it late but; Dr. Crane is the villain named "Scarecrow" and given what he did to folk... it is an appropriate name.

Vincent Valentin

ugh, really can't stand batman as a character any more. just get some therapy dude and stop spending your money to beat up poor people some of whom need therapy themselves. batman reads like libertarian porn.

Thomas Malley

Yeah that was super interesting hearing her speculate on how things were going to go down. I kept thinking 'wow... she's going in completely fresh. what a fantastic treat' :) made it feel more like watching it for the first time.

Anonymous

I’m so stoked that you’re reacting to this movie trilogy! These are possibly my favorite movies and yeah I cannot wait until you react to the Dark Knight. I don’t want to overhype it, but it’s awesome. Get better soon!

Anonymous

Glad you enjoyed this. It's in my Top 20 of all time. I might be a little late for you to read this, but a spoiler free warning for The Dark Knight.

Anonymous

Rachel is recast as a different actor. Maggie Gilenhall plays her. (Pretty sure I spelled that wrong)

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

The first movie I saw Gary Oldman in was TRUE ROMANCE* (talk about being a chameleon, apart from being unrecognizable, he was pretty intense in that role), then Leon (The Professional), then The Fifth Element, it was years before I found out he was British. Those Brits really have it on us as far as dialects and accents, that's why I'm so impressed by American actors like Tessa Thompson, I swore she was British. Brad Pitt in SNATCH* is another stand out American actor doing an incredible job with Irish-ish accent, I've even heard Irish people say he did a bang up job in that. I needed to read the subtitles but they were laughing at the fact that they understood every word he said. You'd probably think otherwise but apparently even Scottish people have trouble doing Irish accents. * = Do yourself a favor and check these two movies out, True Romance and Snatch, both great, Snatch is a bit more fun but True Romance is a cinema of cool movie with a great cast, worth a watch.

Anonymous

He introduced the Batusi in the next one

Travis

You were right about the toxins effect on Rachel. It was so intense that she actually morphs into Maggie Gyllenhall in the second movie.

—thoughtstorms—Keith—

Ironic that Pitt was so great at the strong Irish (is 'Pikey' ok to say\write?) accent, since he was panned pretty hard for the Irish he did in the Devil's Own. Accents and dialects are a mostly thankless part of acting. 'Weren't there any ____ actors you could have cast?' (*Irish, in that case.) Kevin Costner was unfairly torn to shreds for Robinhood Prince of Thieves... he had no time before shooting began to study dialect, so the director assured everyone that they would ADR it before release. Then he couldn't be buggered to make good on that, and a quite good film is besmirched and Costner's rep took an undeserved, massive hit.

—thoughtstorms—Keith—

Agreed, although this "Batmobile"\"Tumbler" is a masterpiece! Natalie accidentally watched these in the order i recommend. Weakest to best. Dark Knight is one of the absolute best films of all time. SO many huge ideas! SO well done. I have tried to learn never to overhype a work because it might diminish a person's enjoyment ("It was great, but it didn't cure cancer, the common cold, and traffic jams like you said it would!") -- but DK needs no asterisk for being a "superhero" or "comic book" movie. It belongs right with the best of all time. (I am hoping Natalie doesn't read these sub-comments before the next installment.)

Anonymous

I tried to watch this along with the version on Amazon Prime but I found that the film stream kept getting ahead of the Youtube video - did anyone else notice this? Was there some framerate difference? Haven't noticed this on other videos.

Peter Hudson

The next one actually has Heath Ledger's final completed role and he got an oscar for it. While this movie's about fear the next one is definitely summed up by a word, and I think it's the best superhero movie ever made. IMDB still has it in the top 10 of their 250 list

Peter Hudson

The repeated lines with different contexts is something Nolan always does, like the lines in Inception about taking a leap of faith and being young men together again

MakaPeji

Lets get one thing clear, this movie trilogy has nothing to do with the DC universe. These three movies are a stand alone trilogy that is not cannon to the DC universe. Lovely reaction as always.

Ian

Great reaction nattie being under the weather too bless you 🤗 Michael Caine is amazing indeed, Gary Oldman too who is amazing in the darkest hour portraying winstin Churchill, btw you are correct in holes they do climb and find onions 🙂 Stanley yelnats that is 😛 hope you feel better soon Nat ty as always and stay golden 💛

Cripkie

Never understood the fear of bats myself. Just little mammals that fly to me. On a scale of things that fly in Australia, bats are cute. Our birds are much more malicious. Our bats just stink real bad. Like rotten marijuana is the closest thing I can think to their guano.

Cripkie

Sometimes your intuition scares me, after i giggle of course. Maybe there is something in that old tale of women's intuituin. Maybe its just a heightened social intelligence that women on average seem to have.

Tyler

I highly highly recommend The Prestige, one of Nolan's best and most underrated films.

Marcell

What? lol. That doesn't make much sense. How does he beat up poor people? You mean the villain's henchmen? Cause every superhero does that. He probably should get therapy, but then so should spiderman, wanda, and many other heroes. And libertarian? How? lol.

Texadan

Fun watching. I really liked this one because they chose vllians not known to the general ppublic - Ras. Al Ghul and the Scarecrow.

Dan Careaga

Agreed, but I would recommend watching the first 3 episodes as one.

Tranquil_Gnome

IMDB confirmed. That was Jack Gleeson aka Joffery from GoT. About 6 years between the movie and the show. Looks to have been 12 yo for Batman but he can play younger. For GoT he would have been18 at the start.

Anonymous

The one thing that never made any sense about Ra’s al Ghul’s plan was the microwave water vaporizer. According to the movie, it vaporizes any nearby water source. Just gone, POOF! And what are humans seventy percent made of?

Nicholas Sulikowski

I gotta point this out. The actor playing Mr. Earle, the guy in charge of Wayne Enterprises who fires Lucius Fox, is played by Rutger Hauer. You've seen him before in Blade Runner, where he played Roy Batty, the really strong replicant who was the last to go down. "I've....seen things you people wouldn't believe." Yeah, that guy.

Anonymous

Not only that, but the actor who played the Waynes’ murderer was the Night King in several seasons of GoT. He was also in the second season of The Mandalorian. He was the Imperial officer with the southern accent that was killed by Mayfield.

My Toasty Toast

That’s a great eye you have that kid is the actor who has payed Joffrey! It’s actually a lot easier for English/UK people to do American accents than Americans doing accents from the UK. It’s a lot easier to drop the inflections than mimic them, which is why so often English actors portray Americans

Kevin Mowery

My day after the second dose, I had to attend a phone conference for work, then took the rest of the day off, laid on my couch, and kept checking my temperature (103 degrees) to make sure it didn't go so high that I felt I needed to call an ambulance, just in case. Great commentary, though. If you hadn't said you weren't feeling well, I wouldn't have guessed.

JarHead0351

Get well - This renewed the Batman movies and Bale did a good job as Batman - I even liked the Lego Batman - Password - "Ironman Sucks" lol

Martin Heron

It's 100% Joffrey.

Al Baughman

grats on shot #2! excellent reaction, couldn't really tell you weren't feeling great, other than the gatorade & ibuprofen lol

Chris Lane- Venturi 3D

I like this movie but it does feel a bit too long. I wouldn't mind seeing about 15-20 minutes cut from it, but it seems I might be the only person thinking that? Anyway, can't wait to see the second one!! It's so good and really defines this trilogy.

Shubham Bhardwaj

Gotham is general in New Jersery near the mouth of Delaware Bay. Metropolis is just across the bay from Gotham. Here is a map from comics for reference https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/62/Gotham_City_map_%28Amazing_World_of_DC_Comics%29.jpg

Aaron

If you like Gary Oldman, check him out in Bram Stoker's Dracula!

Anonymous

Watching this a day after my 2nd Moderna dose. I can definitely say I would have blown this off. Thanks for soldiering through

Tristan Ryan Cox

Yes I agree with you about the second movie although I always thought the third movie was the longest of the trilogy. My opinion though

Jenny Tolls

I also watched Interstellar on a plane while going through turbulence haha really immerses you in the experience

Ortizmo2000

Looking forward to this more than both Infinity War and Endgame.

Ortizmo2000

YA beat me to the punch on Batman having the chance to save Westeros so much pain. LOL

Anonymous

Gotta love how he says "I'm not an executioner" and refuses to kill one guy....then blows up the building and kills everyone. 🤣🤣

Ehrys V.

I'm already prepared to watch your experience with the next film.

Anonymous

I knew you'd love Batman Begins. And all the actors in these movies really brought their A game. And Natalie's reaction to picking the flower "Its a really beautiful flower- you should bring another one just in case." XD laughed so hard

Justin Brinkley

Rachel briefly remarks on something her boss says at the courthouse implying a previous relationship, or numerous attempts at courting her. You got a lot for feeling the vaccine effects. Happy you enjoyed the movie. Found you I think watching MCU movies, and became a patron for GoT. Great show. 🤞 that you may someday do the Buffyverse. Hope you're feeling better. 🤗🤓

Paul C

Once you watch The Dark Knight, I'd like to see you comment on Heath Ledger's performance and contrast it to Joaquin Phoenix's. Also, one of my biggest pet peeves with this movie was the Microwave Emitter. It was used to vaporize water supply. Humans are 70% water, yet nobody popped like a microwaved egg.

Justin Brinkley

😂🤣😂🤣 Didn't think of this when I saw it in my teens, but all I could think of on the rewatch. Pretty sure the farmer died in the explosion. 😶🤦‍♂️

Guy-on-Couch

the movie is about a man flying around the city dressed like a bat and you worrying about the microwave emitter not being realistic? lol

Anonymous

The boy is Joffrey!

Sinewmire

Thanks for this Natalie. I've been watching your reactions whilst I do other stuff, but when I saw Batman Begins crop up I knew I had to see the full thing! Joined your patreon today, money well spent. Looking forward to your reactions to the next two - you often seem to pick up on themes and details other content creators don't.

Anonymous

Don't forget in this film series: Batman doesn't kill. It's like his one rule that he follows to separate himself from the criminals.

Anonymous

This was great, thanks! I love this movie and the whole trilogy. The Dark Knight obviously got the awards, but all three are noteworthy. Can't wait for the next one. As always, big fan of the reactions, thanks!

Ellis Hugh

FWIW, Gotham was modeled after Chicago while Metropolis (Superman's city) was supposed to be New York. Both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were filmed in Chicago as well.

Anonymous

Hi Natalie, you are the first person I've ever subscribed to on patreon and I cant get enough!! I am living vicariously through you, which is amazing!! Seeing you see these movies for the first time through is both both hilarious and frustrating at times. =). I had the flu last week (not covid, still miserable) and I binged your videos. This one though pushed me over the edge!! lol. Seeing how "comic book ignorant" you are triggered something in me lol. So, I guess the point of my long digression is, would you consider reacting to youtubers who explains comics/comic book characters? i.e. https://www.youtube.com/user/fluidicbeats or https://www.youtube.com/user/comicstorian. Because their were some things you didn't know that baffled me!! As far as Batman pop culture references go lol. Again, I created a patron to sub to you (because I got tired of the short you tube versions), I love your content, and I think your amazing. Keep doing what your doing. I'm along for the ride.

Anonymous

Good stuff Nat

Jack Mellor

Well Gotham geographically has often been placed on the coastline in New Jersey, as like a city built on artificial land, often as a bunch of islands, and it’s often described as a mix of both New York and Chicago (the latter ironically was used by Nolan most frequently to shoot these movies, hence all the raising bridges). Fun fact: The older comics mentioned Gotham being just across the way from the city of Metropolis (aka Superman’s city). Second fun fact: I live in the Midlands of the UK and just a few miles east of where I live is a village called Gotham, pronounced differently though, like Goat-erm, and it indirectly inspired the fictional counterpart. It was a village famously featured in an well known historic English book that described the village’s population as a “village of fools”. This stuck in the zeitgeist that when a travelling writer visited New York once, he described New York as “a city of fools, it’s like Gotham City” mispronouncing it now as the way the fictional Gotham is. This then led to Bob Kane ascribing the name Gotham for Batman’s city, to play on the fact that it was a corrupt and decadent place “a place of fools”.

Anonymous

I loved watching through this with you. I still remember my feelings seeing it in the theater for the first time. Very happy to see how much you enjoyed it.

Valar Dohaeris

I have to say, I'm not a fan of this trilogy. The first time I watched this movie I remember disliking it immensely. With the perspective of time, I see that I was in a very bad place at that time (in the process of mi first divorce) so that for sure affected my perception. And because of that, I continued disliking the rest of the trilogy, that I didn't even saw on cinema. Today I think I have rewatched this movie for the first time since 2005, and I must admit it's a great movie and a great take on the character. No wonder it's most people's favorite. Now I'm excited for the next two... Thanks to all that voted for this movie, so I could rediscover it with Nat.
