We have houses older than independence. One down the road from mine has a nice little "erected in 1640" plaque. Of course, I live in Massachusetts, and we were one of the first colonies.

Happy Thursday, Natalie! 😊 Getting this downloaded right now so that I can watch it later tonight. Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's I devote my time to your GoT reactions. And it's a great way to spend the evening. We're already getting close to the season finale already. Looking forward to watching this reaction this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Alan Kobb

No, Natalie, please tell us more about the airflow in your house and how cold it is. We could go to anyone for reactions, but we come here for a reason! 😊

navghtivs

I am not sure Shae did all that just because of what Tyrion said to her, maybe there are other reasons too, anyway that's probably open to interpretation.

Krystal

one of my fav episodes of GoT <3

BNJ

"how did Theon forget who he is?" Uh, did you not see him getting tortured for months on end? That would mess up anyone!

JediLounger

You may have already watched the next few episodes by the time this was posted, but prepare yourself if you have not. Things happen quickly, and it gets brutal fast.

Thanks you Nat for this great episode 😄 ! You are so adorable, the last part was rich in emotion, I feel bad for you, you are so much often shaken 😅, I hope that Koda and Tyler comfort you with big chocolate hugs 💛 haha I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden 💛

Darryl Low

Wow, Nattie G that was a tough one to watch, but beautifully played by all the cast. I'm so excited to watch the next episode with you. Thanks for another great week of Thrones Nat 💛

No shock, but this episode got Peter Dinklage his second Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama series, but he lost out to Aaron Paul in Breaking Bad. Dinklage would go on to win the award in the following season.

Steve J

Watched a video recently on the "1971 Stanford Prison Experiment" (on Thoughty2, great YouTube channel) and it's surprising how fast the mind can be broken and be recast into some new reality. It's the same when skilled interrogators can get people to admit to crimes they didn't commit as well as make the person, in that moment, question themselves if they actually did it or not. The human psyche seems more fragile than we give it credit for.

MertzRocks

I didn't know that and I loved Breaking Bad (Nat, maybe you should do that show, too?). Aaron Paul was brilliant as Jesse but if I had made the decision, I think Peter would have won.

MertzRocks

I cried along with you. How could I not? Your reactions are always so heartfelt and honest. You know by now that in this show, expect the unexpected. There is always another surprise waiting! Stay Golden, dear Natalie. <3

Tranquil_Gnome

Again GoT does not fail to deliver on the drama. This is why so many people fell in love with the show. Game of Thrones connection to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The actor who plays Maester Pycelle, Julian Glover, played the main bad guy in the Last Crusade.

Ethan Plumer

One thing that doesn't quite translate into the show is the fact that the story is told from the viewpoint of specific characters. Shae's behavior is colored by Tyrion's interpretation so when she betrays him it feels like it's way out of left field because he had convinced himself that she really loved him. "I was young and stupid." "You are still young and stupid."

Brandon

It's so messed up that 90% of what they say about Tyrion at his trial is actually true, but it's the 10% lies that create a totally false narrative behind it to condemn him.

Jed U

Something I've read into the acting of Jaime and Tywin's actors in that scene between them is that Tywin had this planned all along. He knew Cersei's wrath would cause her to ensure a guilty verdict and allowed it because he knew Jaime would try to stop it. A perfect opportunity arose for him to get Jaime to do what he always wanted for him and legally disown Tyrion without killing him (since a night's watch man loses all rights of family name and title). Jaime realizes it when Tywin accepts his offer without hesitation and slightly scoffs but ultimately accepts to save Tyrion. Tywin on the other-hand smiles after Jaime leaves at a plan lining up perfectly for him. Ironically had they not brought Shae in as a witness and as a final insult against Tyrion, Tywin would have gotten everything he wanted in my opinion. But Tyrion didn't want to follow his father's plan and did what he could to throw a wrench in it by demanding for the trial by combat

mike

this was such a heartfelt reaction to one of the best scenes in the series Nat. Compassionate people make for the best reactors and I continue to be amazed by the depth of your compassion for all the underdogs in this story.

Joseph

Tywin is the Master chess player in the series.

My_Cousin_Mose

This episode is about as good as tv gets in my opinion.

Ilsuk Yang

Tywin played Jaime like a violin! But Tyrion always throws a wrench into his father's plans!

Oddly, this episode hurt me more than the Red Wedding. Tyrion tries to be such a good man and has been ridiculed relentlessly for his entire life. And then, for it all to be throw in his face in this manner with the crowd laughing at moments where he thought he was with the love of his life. There is so much paaaain in the build up to his outburst...

Joe Blankenship

Yeah, this one really makes you wanna jump into the next one. Dinklage is so great in that last speech.

My_Cousin_Mose

People talk about the hound and Arya or Tyrion and Bron. Ramsay and Reek is my favorite duo. I hate Theon but maaaaan do I love Reek. And of course Ramsay is just so delightfully twisted. you said Theon was like an abused dog and I'd say that's an apt description. And the tricks he pulled on Theon that we saw- pretending to free him only to lead him back , then the other trick with the girls. He lives in constant fear of pain and punishment. Oh and the goats? No I think that dude made out good, it's not like those goats could do backflips. He can now go buy another flock and have money to spare.

Flukemarm

For hands of Gold are always cold.

Steven Tarsitano

next week is going to be fucking amazing.

Paul Spacone

Well, that'll teach me not to peel onions while watching your reactions. Lol

Peter Dinklage has 4 Emmy's as Tyrion. Should have been more!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe Mama

Watching these along w you gives me the slight feeling of watching for my first time and I love it.

Stefan Johannsson

Awesome reaction, as always! The peeps on here are right, this is the best season imo. Season 6 is second best imo. Every episode remaining for this season is Epic and we can't wait. Great channel, great reactions. Not many around that are genuine and real like this. Grateful to be a part of it. Cheers Natalie!

Obsolyeet

Holy shit Nat. When you reacted to Shae walking in I laughed and spit ice cream all over the new tablet I just bought. But totally worth it. I should have picked up some screen protectors. Lol.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Can you imagine if we got to demand trial by combat nowadays? I'm not saying it wouldn't be even worse than the system we have now, just saying, sometimes it would be nice to demand trial by combat and that verdict stands. Like yelling "I declare bankruptcy!!!" I mean declaring it. Yeah, no, people would be demanding Trial By Combat over parking.

Xanbry

you underestimate the insanity and stupidity of some lol. We would have people demand a trial by combat for Jay walking straight up lol

G. T. Blackwell

Can't believe there's been no mention in the videos of Mando's appearance in GoT this season!

Mike LL

That was the most chilling scene of the entire series. Thats high drama.

The courtroom scene was an absolute masterclass. Jaime's expression as he realizes more and more what a sham the trial is. Tywin once showing how he continues to be two steps ahead of Jaime with the deal they struck. A perfect lead-up to the gut-wrenching testimony of Shae. Tyrion's expression going from hopeful after his talk with Jaime, to stunned, to hurt, to dejected, and finally to furious. That speech, and the cliffhanger staredown between Tywin's cold fury and Tyrion's fiery defiance. One of my top 5 favorite scenes in television

Gryff

That scene is what arguably won him his 2nd outstanding supporting actor Emmy in 2015.

Prince Oberyn the most interesting man in Westeros lol

Cripkie

aahh if you start crying its gonna set me off too. Stupid empathy, drives me to drink.

Anonymous

Peter Dinklage won an emmy for that episode :) Overall, he won 3 for Game of Thrones...

Ellis Hugh

That was NOT an enthusiastic conducting of the opening credits... :P FWIW, its not that Theon has forgotten who he is, its that he's so terrified of acknowledging who he is (and thus, angering his 'master') that he will not allow himself to even accept it as a possibility. The show doesn't actually show it all (it couldn't), but Theon has been through a lot more than you might realize, having never read the books.

Steven Tarsitano

aye, he associates the name "Theon Greyjoy" with disobedience. and he's been tested/betrayed by Ramsay and he's been broken to the point that he doesn't know if his sister is truly there or if it's just another one of Ramsays tests.

So when Shae was laying out this very well thought out lie, the reaction you had is not one that I did the first time I seen this episode. I was more angry but watching your reaction to this moment revealed to me the emotional side of it and broke my heart. Keep up the great videos!

Andrew Clifton

I love this episode so much. Shae testifying and Tyrion's speech is such a powerful scene. I got so emotional as well bc u know how much he loved her. I also love the look on Margery's face when people testify as she knows him and Sansa had nothing to do with it lol.

Lucile Byrd

Shae's perjury in this episode made me more mad than sad. Throughout your reactions since Shae arrived I just kept thinking about this episode.

Stephen Woods

I always find it funny when Americans call their houses old, My place was old before your country was independant lol.
