Not sure I'm ready for this after yesterday just wanna know that nats OK 💛 yesterday was super upsetting let's hope this leaves us all feeling a little better

I love that these are always on time! My dinner can commence!

The Blackfish is Catelyn's uncle and Robb's great-uncle.

If you notice during the meeting of the small council - Joffrey doesnt even have a chair, just goes to show how much power he really has

Tranquil_Gnome

Arya lost her wolf but gained a Hound in its place. Again, love to the casting for the show. The small counsel scene was just a joy to watch. Everyone did a perfect job. Interesting story that Bran tells around the campfire. . . .

Calo Grsf

Hi Nat, and thanks for the reaction! A great episode and a great reaction as you usually offer us 😄, it comforts me you have recovered relatively well from the previous episode 😌 Arya is badass, one of the most enjoyable moments coming from her haha The moment with Daenerys is really good, and you finally meet "our friend" "Ramsay Bolton" haha And the Tyrion-Sansa relationship is really funny and excellent, one of my favorites. I send you a big hug and I hope you are well, and above all, stay golden as you are! 💛

Darryl Low

My stomach was still churning from yesterday's episode. You made the right choice to power through and this episode was a lot more hopeful as it set up what's to come. That was an awesome shot of the wolf standing in the light at the tunnel entrance. "Big words, no clothes" That's how to confuse a guy alright ha ha. I look forward to your Season 3 wrap discussion with Tyler, and I'm really interested to hear what he thought of the final episodes. It's been a tough Game this week, but we all came through it, hopefully stronger ❤ Thanks for your amazing videos Nat, and I'm really looking forward to finishing the week with Indy 💛

THE LORE!!!

Not a spoiler, Nat, but just a heads up, two characters are recast in s4 and it might be jarring if you’re just binging through. Both Daario and The Mountain are played by very different looking actors moving forward.

Vonlinchen

Hyped for season 4!

Derik Knutson

I'm so confused as to why when Melisandre looked into the flames and was completely agreeing with Davos and the Night's Watch letter that the true threat lies to the north with the White Walkers you were getting mad about it.

Kiera

A few points to make. The war isn't over, as the Greyjoys are in open rebellion as well as Stannis. The former merely wants to be an independent kingdom, while the latter desires the "Iron Chair" and thus lordship over all Seven Kingdoms. Also as Sansa Stark is the last known living Stark, any children of hers have the right to Winterfell and "The North", it would be a poor decision for the Lannisters to let her go. As her children would be "Lannisters" by law, they still need her and the best place they can keep a watch is right there at Kings Landing. Regarding the end scene...I honestly hate it. No spoilers as far as I know but it whitewashes Daenerys as a character, as we never see the repercussions for her actions or go into detail on them, and the optics of it are gross. The first point is very important in later seasons. All said, enjoyable reaction as usual!

Nick

Sansa isn't pointless because she's "the heir" to Winterfell and Tywin needs her child to control the North remember? She's the most valuable Stark at the moment so obviously they can't just let her go.

Danishprince

Great reaction Nattie! - Something to know before S4 is that they recast the actor playing Daario Naharis so that can cause some confusion.

Nick

If you like shows that are character and relationship driven you should watch Sense8, it's amazing. and full of emotion.

I know you don't like Stannis, and I can't fault you for it. He is a very harsh person with a very strong black and white perspective on morality. BUT, as of this episode you have to give it to him that he is the only lord (and a monarch at that!) who is taking the threat of the White Walkers seriously. While everyone else is still largely concerned with the political games of the seven kingdoms, he has listened to Melisandre's proclamation that "this war of five kings means nothing," and his focus has shifted to the very real existential threat that endangers everyone.

Paul Spacone

Sansa is the key to the North for the Lanisters, she's a Stark. She's still a chess piece.

Elvenwitch

This is my favorite joke about this episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtoBFXSvD6Y

12 Feet Up

Good to see you feeling better after the last episode. Emotional reactions are presumably why most of us are here... but I don't think anybody wants to see you actually traumatized in the name of a reaction video. Take care of yourself, be well!

Anonymous

Bran has to go north so he can become exposition for the other storylines that would have been hard to fit into the show.

Chrishart59

I imagine when Sam asks Jon what happened to him, he’ll have to say he broke up with Ygritte. Wildling break ups are super tough.

Anonymous

I had to laugh when you did the most disinterested, desultory music directing I've ever seen during the intro on this one! Totally relate, both from my personal life this week and from the The Red Weddingitis.

Jenny Tolls

I remember the first time seeing the wolf's head sown onto Robb's body and it felt like a dagger through the heart. They didn't have to do us like that lol

Anonymous

That last scene is controversial, but I can't help but love it because of Ramin Djawadi's amazing score

Anonymous

Stannis and Davos are my two favorite characters. Another great reaction Natalie

Justin Credible

Dragonstone is the ancestral castle of the Targaryens. After Robert's Rebellion, he gave it to Stannis

Justin Credible

Ramsay is actually more brutal in the books. The producers said they knew they'd have to tone him done for the show because an authentic Ramsay would be too much for tv audiences.

Anonymous

The actor who plays Theon, Alfie Allen, his real life sister, the singer Lily Allen, was originally going to play his sister on the show. There's a song, which is funny, that she wrote called of course "Alfie" that's about him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sr2Grfi3lFg

Jomero

I thought about typing this up too with one of the other day's episodes. But, I figured maybe it would be robbing her of a reaction. Confusion is a reaction, as well as a way of eliciting youtube comments. Ah well. I am sure it will be fine. :-)

Joe Blankenship

It was definitely rough seeing you hard cry last episode. Almost felt guilty like we should have told you it was coming. Glad you went ahead and finished it. There’s some good stuff coming in season 4, I promise.

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Natalie! 😊 I downloaded this earlier, and planning on watching here this evening. I can't believe that we're at the season 3 finale already. Looking forward to the start of season 4 next week. Have a great day! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Al Baughman

row row row your boat gently down the stream merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream

Thomas Yanez

I'm starting to think Nat doesn't even try to listen to things said by people she doesn't like, the way she keeps lashing out, like with Melisandre and her reading the fire in this episode.

Trepanation21

I definitely believe that scene with Cersei and Jamie was meant to look as it looked - Cersei didn't react with the gravity of emotional reunion, she reacted with the shock and implication of what it means for Jamie's swordhand to be amputated. She was staring directly at it (and he realized that too, when he glances down). She's wondering whether Jamie's amputated return is a weakness for them.

Flukemarm

Since you seem to be familiar with horses I'll make my little nitpick rant. 'Khaleesi' literally translates to "brood mare" in the Dothraki culture, NOT "Queen". Remember that Daenerys' initial purpose was only to give birth to "The Great Stallion", it is by no means an empowering term unless you consider her "taking it back" by being just as ruthless as Khal Drogo was.

Flukemarm

Also, regarding your "I love conflict, I love awkwardness". Unfortunately, for the tv adaptation they rewrote a Jaime/Tyrion scene in season 4 just to avoid filming an awkward conversation.

WackySwacky

They need Sansa because her child with Tyrion will become the next Lord of Winterfell, thus securing the Northern realm for the Lannisters.

Ellis Hugh

When they call out to her as 'Mother' (Mhysa), remember that she cannot have children... these are all her children now.

WackySwacky

Also, no spoilers here, but Season 3 is the last season of the show that follows closely to the books. Season 4 starts to deviate from the plot of the novels and Season 5 onward goes into basically fan-fiction. Just saying but you have just finished the last truly "canon" parts of the TV series.

Topher Cast

I love your reaction to this season. Hopeless. Defeated. Exactly how I felt. Thank you for your reaction.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

All this episode did was key me up for season 4, we get to meet the 7th kingdom which never bowed to the dragons, and whose Lord is called Prince. And if Prince the Artist had come from any one of the Seven Kingdoms in this reality he would have likely come from 💜

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

In the books which I have not yet read, there is greater explication, but I bought the DVDs and the extra features are copious and informative af. I love historical fiction and when I imagine myself in stories like these I imagine myself in any role, that's the fun of it, but then I imagine, "yeah but who would I be, if I was ME, but in this world?" I'd be most likely either some random Dornishman, or a Dothraki, which is why two of my favorite characters are Ser Bronn and Ser Davos, low born dudes who made the best of their respective talents.

warcrimes

You've been seeing Dragonstone since the beginning of the season. It's the ancestoral home of the Targaryans, seized by Robert after the war and given to his brother, Stannis.

Can’t wait for next week. We’re watching Endgame and starting Season 4!

Kevin Anand

Season 4 is mostly accurate, from what I remember. Thats the second half of ASOS.

Ben Gilshenan

as a bit of knoledge so you dont get confused with the next season the actor playing darrio gets recast, its not a spoiler just so you dont ask whe this random new person is

Kevin Anand

I don't think you caught what happened in the Stannis scene. He changed his mind, understanding that the real war was against the white walkers.

Anonymous

If it wasn't clear before, this season definitely shows that no one is safe. Any main character can be killed off at any time. Its very unpredictable.

Ellis Hugh

For a long time, in the shows and the books, you really have a hard time figuring out who the story is actually about, because just when you think you've got it figured out, that person dies a horrible death. I still remember my father watching the first season, excited about eventually seeing Ned Stark lead his armies against Kal Drogo's invasion...

Anonymous

And what a recast it is. They didn't even try to get someone who looked even remotely similar to the previous actor. Got me so confused when I watched it for the first time.^^

Alan Kobb

Natalie, I think you're misunderstanding Sam. You keep calling him smart, and talking about how much you worry every time he is on screen, but he really acts dumb. When the white walker approaches him in episode 8, he draws his sword and orders it to stop instead of just running away. Sam should have known that the white walker wanted the baby more than it wanted him, so he probably could have saved his own skin. After the white walker knocks him down, Sam stands up again, pulls out that puny glass dagger and sticks it in the white walker. He had no idea if it would do anything. The fact is, it was the only weapon that he had left, but he could have just run away and left Gilly and her child to their fates. Not too smart. Brave, unquestionably. Probably the biggest act of bravery we've seen in the whole series. Maybe you should give Sam a break and stop worrying about him so much. He's earned it. He's tougher than you give him credit for.

Tadpoleaxe

I just noticed something! Frey is having the blood of the red wedding cleaned up using the bread from the tray of bread and salt from earlier in the episode. The tray of bread and salt is an ancient ritual given to a guest to symbolize safety. Wow.

Sinewmire

Nice catch. Salt and cold water is supposed to be good for bloodstains.

Linus Marjeta

Red Woman: "This war between kings don't matter and we need to be ready for what comes beyond the wall" Nat: "Stop lying!" I feel like somewhat that the attention paid is close to 0, and other times you pay far more attention than anyone I've ever seen, it's so strange, haha
